Yes, when I find myself in a cute boutique, I'm usually the only guy to be seen (unless you count those hapless husbands who were dragged there just so his wife could "pop in and see and what they have") But fellas, listen up! Boutiques are your secret weapon. They do all the heavy lifting for you and instead of looking through a million stores to find that one perfect gift, go to the one store that has a million (well, almost) perfect gifts. When you find yourself asking: "Where can I find a great gift?" Let me introduce you to the boutique! Sometimes you can enter a store like this and have no idea what you are looking for and simply be inspired by the numerous gift ideas. On this particular day, I had a pretty good idea of what I was looking for, but alas, I couldn't find what I had in my head. No worries! Therein lies the power of the well-curated boutique. I quickly found a wonderful gift that may have even been a better fit than my initial idea. And it didn't stop there! I found other cute gifts to accompany my primary gift. Redefined Hope Boutique is a special place. Unlike any other boutique I've visited, Redefined Hope has a mission. This boutique supports the Hope Center, which is a local ministry on the front lines of fighting human trafficking. Do you need a better reason to visit? I'll be honest, I've been in and around "church world" for several decades, and when I usually see coffee shops or bookstores or other storefronts attached to churches, the can be a little less quality. It can be tough running a successful business with primarily volunteers. But Redefined Hope is simply a wonderful boutique standing eye to eye with any specialty shop, and I'd say they are even nicer than most I've visited. Redefined Hope is a beautiful shop with quality goods placed thoughtfully on tables and shelves around the store. You are sure to find the perfect gift (or gifts!) for that special someone. I know I did. From clothing to jewelry to books to travel mugs to plants, you won't be disappointed in the selection. They also have a coffee shop in-house, and all of the staff is so helpful. One of the coolest things they had on this St. Valentine's Day was a "Bloom Box" (I think that is what they called it). It was several bins filled with gorgeous wildflowers and you could hand-select the flowers of your choice. They also had a table with butcher paper, twine, shears and tape so you could wrap your bouquet with thoughtfulness and love. I had so much fun picking wildflowers and accompanying greenery to craft the perfect bouquet. I highly encourage you to pop-in to the Redefined Hope Boutique and see what they are about, learn about the Hope Center and have fun browsing their well-curated selection of beautiful wares. I especially love the cute bags they use for your purchase. I decided to get a latte today and sit and enjoy the little space they have ... bonus points for not having a room full of people using their space for office work or it looking like the coffee shop we tried yesterday. Very nice ambiance and the sunlight makes that room so warm and cozy. A nice array of books to just look through. I enjoyed it very much! Maria made my latte, she was very sweet. I even was able to try the graham cracker ice cream which was delicious! Definitely going back for that! I purchased a couple little trinkets, and looked at all the different items. I ordered a shirt from this boutique and did not receive it for OVER 2.5 weeks. BUT that was after I emailed the customer service email over 5 times (no response to any email), sent facebook messages to the boutiques page(they read them but again failed to respond to any of the messages), and even went as far as emailing the owners personal page. Apparently it is okay to take a customers money and not send the product promptly. Finally after a little more than 2 weeks the owner responded and sent me the shirt....... ONLY to get the shirt in the WRONG size with stains and holes in it. Talk about frustrated! I will NEVER shop there again and made sure to let all my friends, co-workers, and family know how awful the customer service is, the lack of responsibility, and quality (or lack there of) of the products. My recommendation to everyone reading this go shop somewhere else like Dottie Couture! They have the best clothes with the best prices and the most amazing customer service and staff! UPDATE: The owner reached out to me via facebook messenger 19 minutes after this review was posted..... Weird considering no one can respond to emails about the missing product but can respond within 20 minutes of a bad review. Further more, she proceeded to argue with me about when it was shipped out. It was shipped out 14 days after she received my payment to her direct PayPal account. Warning: if you try to confront her or bring any issue up about products she will argue with you and proceed to block you on facebook from the boutique and the VIP group to avoid bad reviews. She also deletes any google review on her page if it is a bad one. Personally, as an owner you should NEVER argue with the customers. If I were the owner I would want to do anything to make it right since a store front was just opened. But hey maybe that is just me. I took the hit which is fine but don't argue with your customers people.

I literally just walked out of that place, having spent more than $60, and the old guy behind the counter was as rude as can be. I walked in, and I get that he had customers (a trendy, older couple, who seemed to have some change in their collective pocket), but my initial issue was that he barely even acknowledged my presence, and when he did, his tone went from pleasant to seemingly annoyed (not an exaggeration). So, I'm looking around the store, and I see a couple of things I liked, and the store clerk is just fully engaged with the couple and they're having what sounds like a nice conversation. As this is going on, I move to the other part of the store, and in doing so I walked past the clerk who was posted behind the register. As I passed him, in a very different tone, "let me know if you need any help." I immediately thought to myself, "wtf is this guy's problem?" Brushing it off, I continued shopping. Once ready to check out, I approached the counter where the clerk was just chatting it up with this couple, who had all ready made their purchase, so i am kept waiting while this conversation concludes. After they finally left, I then laid my items on the counter and you could have heard a pin drop.. not a word from the clerk. And then when he finally does speak, he's got that same tone again. Now, I know that I did not come in this store, causing anything or doing anything that would merit being treated like that. I'm guessing he assumed I didn't have money or something. I don't know, I speculate, of course, as I have no idea what goes on in the minds of crazy people. Even after spending more than sixty dollars, I didn't even get a thank you, he dropped my receipt in the bag as though were a piece of trash. Sorry to be so long about this, but things like this really irritate me. Who knows what his problem is? But if he treats people like that that are spending money at his store, then you all should avoid it, i know, I certainly won't be back, and I will be spreading the word.
