If you are like me, and good customer service is important to you, skip this hole in the wall and just order online. I literally just walked out of that place, having spent more than $60, and the old guy behind the counter was as rude as can be. I walked in, and I get that he had customers (a trendy, older couple, who seemed to have some change in their collective pocket), but my initial issue was that he barely even acknowledged my presence, and when he did, his tone went from pleasant to seemingly annoyed (not an exaggeration). So, I'm looking around the store, and I see a couple of things I liked, and the store clerk is just fully engaged with the couple and they're having what sounds like a nice conversation. As this is going on, I move to the other part of the store, and in doing so I walked past the clerk who was posted behind the register. As I passed him, in a very different tone, "let me know if you need any help." I immediately thought to myself, "wtf is this guy's problem?" Brushing it off, I continued shopping. Once ready to check out, I approached the counter where the clerk was just chatting it up with this couple, who had all ready made their purchase, so i am kept waiting while this conversation concludes. After they finally left, I then laid my items on the counter and you could have heard a pin drop.. not a word from the clerk. And then when he finally does speak, he's got that same tone again. Now, I know that I did not come in this store, causing anything or doing anything that would merit being treated like that. I'm guessing he assumed I didn't have money or something. I don't know, I speculate, of course, as I have no idea what goes on in the minds of crazy people. Even after spending more than sixty dollars, I didn't even get a thank you, he dropped my receipt in the bag as though were a piece of trash. Sorry to be so long about this, but things like this really irritate me. Who knows what his problem is? But if he treats people like that that are spending money at his store, then you all should avoid it, i know, I certainly won't be back, and I will be spreading the word. read more

My husband has been in the market for quality underwear for sometime. For years he's tried to make do with what could be purchased from places like Target and Kohl's and nothing was cutting it. So we finally made a stop by Toolbox after hearing folks rave about it. We weren't disappointed in the least! They have a great selection of items from jocks to briefs to boxers to fetish wear and more. There was a diversity of garments made for a variety of sizes, builds, and (ahem) endowments. To be honest, we were a bit intimidated by the selection at first, but the gentleman working there was very friendly and helpful. He approached us to offer some guidance and, after speaking to my husband about his needs, he went above and beyond to help recommend and locate exactly what was needed. Before we left, my husband also grabbed some accessories and a bear oil that smells fantastic. All at a very reasonable price for the quality. We also signed up for their loyalty program, which sounds like it has some great perks. A week later, my husband is still raving about his purchase and he plans to make shopping at Toolbox a regular thing. read more

When I first seriously started with Yelp, I looked around at stores and restaurants in my area. Toolbox was one of the first stores I saw on Yelp that had darn near perfect stars and I said to myself, "well this can't be real". Finally, about a week ago, I walked right by the store on the way to lunch. We had to check it out!! The sales associate was so nice as we entered, explaining the promotion they were running and telling us to let him know if we had any questions. We did have questions...lots, and he answered all of them. I ended up picking out a pair of Bully Wear shorts for my boyfriend. Unfortunately, being that my boyfriend apparently has a large butt and monstrous thighs, the shorts didn't quite fit. So today I went to return them. Different sales associate, same perfect customer service. In exchange for the shorts, I ended up getting a pair of underwear for my boyfriend and a Bully Wear shirt for me. It all worked out great and even though the shop sells men's clothes, underwear and bathing suits...I got something out of the deal too! I will be returning frequently to check on their new clothing lines!!! Love this place! read more

Hrm... how to word this review so it's "family-friendly" for grandmas and moms... Women have Victoria's Secret. Men in Indianapolis have Toolbox Men's Supply Company. This is by far the best place I've found to buy men's underwear, swimwear and other apparel from designers you can't find in the stores. It's the only place in Indianapolis I've been able to find my favorite designer, Andrew Christian (whom I fell in love with in West Hollywood a few years back.) The shop seems a bit odd in Broadripple. It's something I would expect to see on Broadway in Chicago) or perhaps even better fit for Mass Ave in Indy (perhaps a second store soon?). Broadripple? Strange, but it works. The building is across from the Broadripple Brew Pub, and features a great selection. No more online ordering and waiting for (or paying) shipping; Toolbox Men's Supplies has the latest and greatest selections and the prices are right in line with what you see online. read more

What a fun local shop! My daughter and I were walking by during Mass Ave's Sip and Shop event last Friday night. When we peeked inside the Tool Box window and saw a pair of socks on the wall that said "Body By Tacos" we knew we had to go inside. The guy who was working was incredibly nice and welcomed us in. All I needed were those awesome socks, but he let us know of the current promotions just in case. And honestly, I'll probably go back without my daughter. We stumbled across Toolbox in May and became instant fans. Toolbox is a fantastic little boutique for men just off the beaten path in Broad Ripple and an easy walk from most anywhere in the area. We typically stop in after brunch on Sundays to see what kind of exciting new items they have gotten in. They carry an impressive selection of men's underwear, swimwear and active wear from many top designer brands including my favorites, Andrew Christian and Pistol Pete. The store is laid out as 3 separate rooms, so it is easy to shop. Very trendy interior. They seem to have their finger on the pulse of the fashion industry as they get new styles every couple weeks and as a result, have an ample selection of clearance at great prices. Greg, one of the owners, has been working every time we've been in and is very friendly, knowledgeable and accommodating (we had the puppy with on a hot day and he let her lay down inside while we shopped). I love that we have such a great local small business to support. read more

Fantastic place. I never thought that I would find an underwear boutique that caters to men in Indianapolis. But here we are! The selection is pretty great, Timoteo, Andrew Christian, Cellblock 13, Doreanse, etc, so styles definitely meet a lot of interests. Neoprene harnesses are a fun new addition, too! The ability to try on is probably the greatest feature of this boutique. The knowledgable and friendly store owner is another huge asset to the business. My two complaints are not major but they definitely detract from the business. Fitting rooms, considering the nature of what you're trying on, are fairly open with a simple curtain that doesn't quite close all the way at the edges. Call me a prudish gay man but I'd like a little more privacy to try on underwear haha. More substantial is the frequent difficulty with maintaining stock. If you are looking for a small or a medium, finding the hottest items will be difficult in your size. And with he frequent updates about new or incoming styles on social media, those items get cleared out. Quickly. Shop local! This is an absolutely fantastic business. read more

LOL, I'm a huge fan...all I can say is that it is all in the name...LMBO!!!!! I really like the onezies they had. They have different types of underwear for men. The owner is a really nice guy and all of the employees are great. They have more than just underwear, they also have soaps, candles, and other things for the aesthetic of your home or personal interest. I like this place but I want you to know, you can easily walk in there, purchase a couple of items and feel like a million bucks...the underwear is designer, not fruit of the loom or haines, however, you will pay (depending upon the underwear) anywhere from 25.00 to 40.00. Not sure how pricey that is for some people when some purchase boxers 3-4 a pack at walmart for 6 dollars. It's all in your mind. I don't mind paying it, as long as I feel comfortable and the support I need. read more

I LOVE THIS STORE!!! If you want a casual and comfortable environment to shop for men's underwear this is the place to go. The owner (one of two) is always there and always greets you with a smile and casual conversation. I never know what exactly I am looking for so I've never asked him for help. Since buying underwear isn't a daily or weekly need I don't go in there very often, but he remembers us every time! The selection is good and I like being able to chose between everyday styles and styles that are a little more special occasion/risqué. I really like that I was added to a wish list all because they didn't have my size in a particular style. Overall I can't praise this store enough. It's a bit of a drive for me, but it is worth it everytime. read more
