This place is the cutest little store. My mom loves their soaps and I love the lip balms they sell. So good! The sticker collection is also top notch. And I found the cutest coffee shirt there! Recently did a workshop they put on and it was one of my favorite craft afternoons of the year. I got to make an ornament with my dogs face on it. I'll be looking for more events by them and I'll be back. read more

I first discovered Salt & Ash Soap when they had the Farmers and Flea Market. Sadly, they no longer hold this market and that was also the first time to try Side Door Bagels when they had no brick and mortar store front either. I had seen Salt & Ash at the Six-Ways market also. Now, they both have a stores now. The new store is located next to World Famous Hotboys on Virginia Avenue. They have a yellow door so keep on the look out for that. I really loved the Milk & Honey lotion they had and the cherry almond scents. They have sugar scrubs, bath bombs, soaps, soy candles, and lip balms. Some of the scents for the lotions are Juniper & Aloe, Lavender & Vanilla and Milk & Honey. They also sell a nice sized bag of soap bar scraps. They had a fig and sugar candle scent as well as a few others. Green tea, flower, Valencia and coconut which I should've got but didn't see that one as a few of the bath bomb scents. They had a nice little bowl that you could try out the scrubs with. They had a nice little theme since they were adding the cherry almond scent and had cherry RC, cherry chocolate brownies, and crackers and cheese with cherry jam. Check them out :-) read more

What a cute shop! An amazing addition to the Factory Arts District (formerly known as the Circle City Industrial Complex). I was really happy to see that they're open and wandered in while on a walk. The shop is full of adorable gift items and self care products from boutique style clothing to amazingly scented soaps and body care products! If you love supporting local and sustainable, then you simply must stop by Salt & Ash Market! This is one of few places in Indy where you can shop package free as they offer refill purchases of liquid body wash, laundry detergent, and more soaps. It's great for those ready to move beyond recycling as a waste solution and towards reusing, reducing, and refusing. My favorite is the house-made body scrubs in rotating, maybe you could say seasonal, scents. They come in a glass jar that you can bring back when it's empty for a small discount -- as well as added sustainability that you can't achieve at other chain stores. I've enjoyed the coffee, pumpkin, and sucre vanilla scrubs. They also offer house-made bar soaps and shampoo and conditioner bars, which you can purchase package-free. Great scents on offer here, including a tomato leaf which I really loved! I can't wait to try some of the personal fragrances and lip products next. You can browse a variety of items curated from other brands - candles, jewelry, and hair accessories to name a few. Definitely check it out next time you're in Fountain Square! read more

Such a cute little store! I stepped in once to pick up a gift card and knew I had to come back to shop around. They have all kinds of handmade soaps: hand soaps, shampoo and conditioner bars, lotion bars, loofas, bath bombs, a refill station for liquid soap, cute hair clips and jewelry, cards, stickers, and more! I got a shampoo bar there and am loving it after a week of daily use. Really good quality and smell. I also got a soap saver, a little bag to put in the last pieces of soap to keep using them, I love that idea. I will definitely be back and know this will become a regular visit for me. We opened a production studio for our bath and body products in the heart of Fountain Square in late 2022. In 2025, Salt & Ash Market is moving into a larger storefront in Factory Arts District! Turns out they look better than they did when they were new! More support, better constructed, and they look brand new. Mike took a pair of shoes that were literally falling apart and brought them back to life, even better than before. These Footjoys look better than anything Footjoy sells these days! Mike did such a great job that I dropped off another pair when I picked up my last 2 pair. And I have about 3 more pairs of shoes that are in need of being recrafted, Cento Shoes will be wear I am taking them. The price is right at Cento Shoes and they carry all the good and necessary shoe care products to keep your shoes in great shape and well nourished. Jennifer who works in the front of the house is just amazing and super kind.
