I reached out to Forage when searching for an extra special bouquet to be sent to my mom who lives in the Ojai Valley. I could tell that their flower arrangements were much more unique than typical florists. I ordered the small Fresh Flower Wrap, as I knew my mom did not need another vase in her house. The deliverer texted me as they headed out to deliver them, so I knew they would soon arrive to my mom. The bouquet exceeded my expectations! They looked like they went out to a meadow and picked a huge armful of the most amazing, diverse wildflowers and wrapped them in paper with a ribbon - so natural. They included Matilija poppies, tiny petite daisies, snapdragons, among others and foliage that looked like it was growing wild amongst the flowers. The size of the bouquet was so full - much larger than I expected. This review is far overdue but I guess I was lost for words to describe how wonderful Lynn was in doing the flowers for our wedding this past June. Still no excuse, but truly, Lynn was the first vendor that made me think wedding planning could be pleasant because she is so incredibly sweet, friendly and accommodating. I was initially thinking to purchase flowers wholesale and ask my bridesmaids to help make the bouquets etc., something I had done for a friends wedding. However, ultimately that seemed too stressful and honestly not all that low-cost either. I'm so glad I found Lynn though - she worked within our budget and was able to fashion lovely creations within the color scheme we had picked and which I gather was not the most typical. She also created a beautiful floral headband that was just right. I provided pinterest photos and we had an afternoon of playing about with flowers but I really didn't know how it would turn out until the actual wedding day so I suppose it was a bit of a gamble, but I don't think I ever worried about it. Lynn really went above and beyond in how gorgeous everything looked and we got plenty of compliments all around. I think she really enjoys working with flowers and it really comes through. Lynn is pure magic. The flowers that she prepared for our wedding were the most beautiful I have ever seen. She is an artist, she creates bouquets. With our flowers I sent a couple of ideas and told her the colors and she made the most beautiful arrangements. She also hand picked special blossoms from Ojai. Lynn was wonderful! She runs her own small business, and though she can be a little harried at times as a result, she seems to really love what she does. We visited with her and knew pretty quickly we wanted to work with her, as we wanted to use vendors who truly love what they do and aren't necessarily into the "wedding industry" BS. Particularly since we were only interested in personal flowers, as we didn't need on-site decor at all. Lynn listened to our ideas and then made suggestions -- either to complement or to adjust what we envisioned. When my initial idea didn't work the way I'd hoped, she immediately came up with something I loved even more! And she spent well over an hour with us, working through every bouquet and boutonniere until we were thrilled with the result. And her prices were super reasonable. Yesterday, I had the pleasure of visiting Digs, the newest florist in our fare town of Ojai! I was in need of a floral arrangement as a birthday gift. I had received an arrangement from Digs for my birthday. It came in a cedar wrapped vase with my name etched inside a heart! So beautiful and creative! I wanted the same for my friend! Elizabeth was at first very kind, helpful, and the perfect florist to work with getting our wedding vision the way we we're hoping. However, as soon as the pandemic hit, she was unwilling to work with us once we had to switch around what our wedding would look like. She only offered her services if we were postponing in which case we requested our deposit back. We had requested her services for our elopement on the same day our wedding would have taken place once she refused to give us our deposit back of $1500. I knew we would not be replanning a wedding any time soon and wanted to still receive flowers for the money we had given her. She claimed she had purchased containers already in which we would have been willing to reimburse her for them. We would even have been willing to split the deposit so at least we both walk away with a little of something from this unpredictable time. We went ahead with our elopement and had to purchase other means of flowers when she did not return any emails. When we filed a claim with American Express to attempt and get our money back, she lied and attached receipts for an arch she had obviously built for someone else for almost $600 (we had never discussed this nor ordered that and it was not on the invoice) and also said we had signed a contract and canceled our wedding so she did not have to deliver the services. American Express closed the claim without an opportunity to dispute any of this information and we lost our money. This is such an awful time to take advantage of people and keep money that was not earned or deserved. During a time like this with many difficult decisions having to be made frequently, we were only hoping for help, support or a little flexibility. read more

I know I won't be going anywhere else anymore! Last year she worked with me to create stunning flower arrangements for my wedding. I had a vision in my head and sent her pictures of different things I "kind of liked" to give her an idea of what I wanted and it was like she read my mind. The arrangements came out better than I envisioned. She created lavender boquets for my bridesmaids with fresh Ojai Lavender - that she went and picked herself- while my bouquet was a beautfiul combination of my favorite flowers. The bouteniers were mini versions of my boquet. The flowers for the alter and table arrangements were carefully coordinated with our other decorations (most of wich this amazing womany helped me put together.) I have also ordered an arrangement for a neighbor who's husband passed away and it was beautiful and oh so touching. I gave her some details about the person and she made it so perfectly custom to them. If you need a florist or are just looking for a fun shop to wander into look no further. Lynn did a wonderful job for our wedding. We supplied some design elements like old weathered logs and a weathered lattice fence section. She and her staff turned them into fantastic creations--they looked ready for a big screen close up in a rustic woodland fantasy feature. She is a former event planner who loved the flower work. She was organized and clear up front about costs and time, and communicated well. We supplied some flowers from our garden and she incorporated them in the designs. She worked well with our other vendors, making changes as needed when she saw how the lighting and lanterns would work with the flowers. The only thing I would change was being more clear about the size of the bridal bouquet which hid too much of the dress. So grateful we found a creative spirit to add touches to our event that made it memorable and unique. read more

I am the coordinator of the Marketing team from Spotify. My team of 60 flew from NYC to Ojai, to have a 3 day event. We realized at the last minute we REALLY needed flowers.
