I ordered flowers to be delivered from Angela's because I wanted to support local business. I was very disappointed with the flowers that were sent and the customer service that followed. The number of flowers used was less than half of what I was told would be used. After seeing this I called Angela's and kindly explained the situation. She was rude over the phone and the excuse she gave me was that flowers are more expensive and it is what it is. Her excuse doesn't make sense as the delivered arrangement was more than 50% smaller then what was shown to me. Also if this is true then at the very least she could have told me this over the phone when I ordered or when the arrangement was being made. She wanted to quickly get off the phone and offered to either drop off three stems of mums ( which is still far from what I was told I would receive) or just have it picked up. I ordered a white lei for my brothers graduation, as I received my order it was the standard purple one, I had my confirmation email and my total was close to 80 dollars for only one, I never got a refund for the mistake and the shop said they were going to give me credit back, I attempted to call 3x and it went straight to voicemail, I ordered from this shop for a specific white one but I didn't even get it, if I had known I would be paying 80 for a basic purple one I would have gone to vons. read more

In the time of COVID-19, birthdays can be a problem. Romantic dinner out? Forget about it. Invite friends over for a party? No way. So if you're trying to say it with flowers, those flowers should be special. Especially when you've both been in lockdown together for seven weeks straight and your charming flaws have begun to wear thin on your significant other. I put my fate in Angela's hands and she real came through. They're working in difficult times too. You can't walk into the store, supply is limited, and two days before Mother's Day is a busy time. But that didn't keep them from hitting it out of the park. I just gave them a price point and a favorite color scheme and this is what I got. I love it and most important she really really loves it! Horrible service. Never on time. Waited outside the shop for 45 minutes and they still never opended. I have a pending delivery. And am very VERY dissatisfied. Do not give them the time of day, because they won't give it to you. Take your business somewhere else. It's definitely not worth your time. read more

I dislike writing a negative review but sometimes places just fall short. We received a simple three rose bouquet arrangement as a "happy birthday" gift from a family member. Along with the roses came three latex balloons and one helium balloon. The roses were nice but the helium balloon wasn't filled all the way. We received this arrangement in the afternoon. This morning the helium balloon had nothing in it and was laying on the table next to the latex balloons. What a huge disappointment. read more

I tried finding a florist for my son's wedding 6 months in advance and hadn't had any luck. I saw Angela's Flowers but hesitated because of the yelp reviews. However, at three months before the wedding, I was desperate, and called Irma, the owner. From our first meeting my son's fiance [now wife] and I were convinced that this was our florist. Irma was creative, inspired, intuitive, and gracious. The bouquets, centerpieces, and decorative flowers were stunningly beautiful. She was dependable, worked with our baker on flowers for the cake, and arrived in plenty of time to set everything up before the wedding. I CANNOT PRAISE THIS FLORIST HIGHLY ENOUGH!! read more

My husband I live in Los Angeles but were getting married in Ojai. Our venue only recommended one florist which was not quite the style we were looking for. My Father in Law grew up in Ojai and recommended Angela's Flowers to us. I spoke with Irma about our event and she took down detailed notes and promptly sent us an estimate which was very reasonably priced. At the time, she did not have many wedding flower pictures on her website, so I had to trust the recommendation I received from my FIL. I'm so happy we did because the flowers far exceeded our expectations... They were absolutely beautiful!!!! Irma went above and beyond what was ever asked to make our day extra special... We added last minute arrangements which she was able to accomdate. She also personally delivered all our flowers to both our hotel and venue and even took the time to place the flowers in the arch we used for our ceremony instead of having us to do it. Disappointing. I ordered a bouquet (4) days in advance over the phone. When I went to pick up the bouquet it was not ready. Had an event to be at and couldn't wait for one to be made. If you dare to place an order here best to call a couple of times to confirm. No regret for messing up, no attempt to accommodate mistake. read more

My husband and I recently got married in Ojai and had contacted the owner, Irma, the week before about doing a few very small floral arrangements for our wedding ceremony. She was lovely and enthusiastic over the phone, said she'd be happy to accommodate, and that we could come in to Angela's on the Wednesday before our Saturday wedding to choose flowers, etc. When we arrived at the shop on the Wednesday - TWENTY MINUTES AFTER OPENING - we were met with a CLOSED sign on the door and unbelievable rudeness by a young man at the counter who objected to our smiling, friendly entrance into the shop, saying: "I don't open the shop until I've checked my email..." When it was put to him we'd made arrangements to meet with Irma about flowers for our wedding, he shrugged and blinked at my husband with indifference while telling us Irma wasn't coming in that day - she was off. At that point he could have called Irma to find out what was going on - but couldn't be bothered, even as my husband dug around in his bag trying to find Irma's phone number. At that point I'd had more than enough of this guy's unpleasant, ill-mannered attitude, so we walked out into the parking lot, Google searched for another florist nearby and ended up - last minute - at Digs (on Baldwin) where we were treated to friendliness, respect, great care and gorgeous arrangements. read more
