Loved this restaurant! Super inclusive for gluten free people!!!! Food was fresh and would 100% recommend.

Made a reservation for my husband's milestone birthday and requested a nice table, good service, and a little birthday dessert in the end. Did not get any of those. The service was mediocre, at best, and very impersonal. But the food and the drinks are outstanding! I will give credit or credit is due. The appetizers were off the charts yummy in the main course of chicken and waffles and one of the burgers was stellar. We enjoyed a martini to kick off his birthday evening and ended with an old-fashioned. Again, the food and the drinks were great. But the service and requested specialness of the night were not there at all. Definitely will get food "to go".

We went to celebrate our family members birthday in this restaurant we made a reservation and I recommend people doing that there's plenty of parking in front that you can park easily and walk across the road to this restaurant. This restaurant is pretty huge and they have small plates for appetizers are very bright and great Views on the patio. If you're in the summer, this is a treat for you. The food is average, but the service is outstanding. They usually fix everything that you have a problem with. I had a problem with the old-fashioned then they immediately fixed it and I got by martini I strongly recommend if you are around Rochester area to visit this place because it's a great team of people working together very hard to make this place even brighter

The ambience is very nice with a very convenient location. I watched the Rochester Parade on the patio. However, the service issue was tentative at best. I had some grilled chicken kebabs that were probably four stars and a watermelon storm drink and a Mojito. The first drink was good, but I didn't know it was gonna be served up as a martini so I was a little off. The second drink was supposed to be a basil ginger Mojito, but there was only one one basil leaf. Zero mint leaves. Zero. No ginger. It tasted like sweet & sour. Gross. I never do this with drinks, but I'm going to have to send it back. Manager came & offered to remake but admitted they didn't have ANY mint. Weird. My recommendation was do not put Mojitos on your menu if you don't have any mint. Basic drinks 101. She took it off the bill.

Twigs has a very nice ambiance inside and out with patio seating complete with fire pit to indoor tables and booths or bar seating. Extensive GF menu offerings. Make a GF gal feel normal with all of the offerings! The service was great all 4 times we either are in or took out! Wish we had a restaurant in town that was this accommodating and contentious as well as delicious to boot! The Strawberry Rhubarb Mocktail was fantastic. The onion rings were ordered on every visit!!! They were perfectly cooked and seasoned with a light crispy batter. Chicken and waffles were a close second to our "regular" order. The mini Belgian waffles were super cute and the chicken tenders were breaded, large and filling! The Parmesan crisps were unexpected delicious .. almost like a fried savory chuck of elephant ears sprinkled with Parmesan! I'm pretty particular about my fish and am pleased to report that the walleye was a nice flakey white fish that was meaty and filling: not fishy! The fried Sweet and Sour shrimp were huge! And also filling. . . You can always order the entree over the appetizer if you also wish to try some of the side accompaniments... Thick cut fries, mashed potatoes, sweet potato fries to name a few! Glad we were here a week to try most of the menu! When the shrimp nachos are your weakest link then I think you're doing pretty great!

One of my favorite places to dine outside but today's experience was a bit disappointing. Took quite a while to get served as we were in a corner of the patio. Other tables came in after us and were served. We finally flagged someone down who said he'd find our server, which took several minutes. The server wasn't sure what the soup of the day was so he asked another server who didn't know. Might be a good idea to give a heads up in the team meeting at the beginning of their shift. We ordered an appetizer and a salad and cup of soup. The salads and soup came out quite quickly, but my salad was missing the cranberries. The the server mentioned that he didn't know what was going on in the kitchen, but didn't say he would fix it. When he came back to check on us, I said this is not the cranberry salad and he said no it sure doesn't look like it. I asked if he would go find me some cranberries. It took a couple tries, but he eventually came back with some. We got our appetizer after we were into our meals, which wasn't that big a deal but just not your typical good service. We realize there are a lot of new and young servers starting for the summer months so there is a lot to learn. We hope our next experience is a little bit smoother.

Pleasantly surprised! When I noticed it was at the hotel I kind of had a second thought because I've had bad hotel food in the past. But when we walked in we were pleasantly surprised, turned out to be a nice quaint restaurant. They asked if we had reservations and we did not, it was going to be an 1.5 wait, fortunately they had seating the bar. The bartender was fantastic, hard working girl. The menu was so vast I couldn't make a decision. She gave me some suggestions! Needless to say her suggestions were top notch. I can't eat gluten and this place has the most extensive gluten free menu with a second kitchen!!!!! My meal was fantastic I had gluten free fish tacos and had a pita small plate. Definitely will go again if I am in town!

Everything was delicious! Our server was attentive even though they were obviously very busy. We usually sit outside, but with the warmer weather we chose to sit inside and it was very nice and not too loud. I had the country captain chicken... amazing. It was so good. My husband had the spicy Hawaiian chicken melt waffles ... just the right amount of sweet and spicy. They have so many options there is something for everyone.

Really disappointed that after years of coming here when in town they've changed recipes and every breaded is spicy.

"You can't refuse a request from a dying man." (Abe "Fish" Vigoda as Sal Tessio)…read more "I'm not dead yet!" (Abe Vigoda as himself, addressing rumors.) This super trippy coffee shop kills it harder than Abe in "The Godfather" when it comes to delivering the goods! Heavenly vegan donuts, that is. Wait...wrong Abe? My sister and I are not vegans, but we stopped here for breakfast several days in a row on our way to the Mayo Clinic earlier this year purely out of curiosity. It was really helpful in the ordering process to see the various pretty donuts labelled and strung above the counter. We purchased almost all the flavors to bring to the hospital for our family to try, and the consensus was that the ube and the plum lime were possibly the most delicious donuts we've had anywhere! Honestly! Other outstanding flavors included the tiramisu, the banana stand, and the blueberry crumble. As delightful as the donuts were, I was disappointed in my drink orders. I could only get through a few sips of both my dirty chai latte and the Almond Joy coffee. Old Abe gives some hardcore psychedelic vibes to the point that I wondered if a hallucinogen had been slipped into my coffee before heading into the ladies' room. 1,000 cats hissing at you from the walls will cause you to question your sanity! The rest of the décor was just as wild, from THE Minnesota Prince to an apocalyptic Godzilla declaring that the end was near. The question "1880's stage actor assassin or the bear" might apply in the polka dot room, so it's best to sit facing out with your back against a wall...regardless of which Abe the shop is named after. If the apocalypse, John Wilkes Booth, wildlife, the Chief of the Waponis, or the mob takes me out to sleep with the fishes, and I come back in my next life as the leader of a subversive cult, I'll have to revisit the book room of this shop to view their anarchist primers. Also, I'm sending these donuts to McConaughey as a bribe. He's a fan of Lincolns, so maybe he'll do an Old Abe commercial where he contemplates the meaning of life while noshing on a ube donut. Penny for your thoughts?

I finally decided to stop in after so many recommendations from my fellow peers, and I must say I…read morewas extremely disappointed. There was an older gentleman at the display case, probably the owner, and a few younger gals working. After entering the store, we were greeted by no one, just quick stares. When ready to order, it took more than ten minutes to be acknowledged, bummer. The coffee was okay at best, but the donuts were amazing! Probably the best in Rochester. We sat downstairs, but we've heard the staff tell other customers that there were saying upstairs. After finding a seat and people watching, we noticed that the staff were much more attentive to other customers. It's hard to not feel like this was a race-based issue, esp being the only minorities in the shop. Either or, I guess it was an experience, I don't plan on visiting again. I'll stick to Cafe Aqui-- they've got great coffee, delicious snacks, wonderful staff and a welcoming atmosphere.
