As a woman I've been wanting them done for years but I really wanted another woman to do this piercing. I'm so glad that I held out! Jessie was friendly but professional and seriously did an incredible job! In such a short time they honestly look like they are already healed. I've been following her instructions (I wish I could put this in bold seriously please listen to your piercers/tat artists about after care). The first two days they were pretty tender but surprisingly not as bad as I was expecting. Now, they honestly look like they are already healed and I barely have any soreness. I'm already starting to forget they are even there! I really dig the look and vibe of the whole studio. It looks awesome and is very clean. LOVE that you can make appointments online. My experience with piercing shops/tattoo parlors is limited exclusively to Claire's as a child, so I wasn't sure what to expect and have always been a little intimated by those places because I'm not what I'd consider "cool" (lol). I had my original lobe piercings done at claire's and have always had issues with those piercings and decided if I ever wanted more, I'd go somewhere more professional. Hence the search for a place in State College... I suspected a lot of places would overcharge because it's a college town so I did a lot of googling, reading reviews, and asking friends for suggestions either way. I have a few friends who've gone to the other shop in town for piercings and were happy with it, but when I looked at some of the reviews I was more hesitant. I'm a weenie about this stuff and really wanted to get my lobes pierced again (new spot) and prefer not having weird issues with prices not being disclosed up front and uncomfortable/unwelcoming vibes. I ultimately decided on King Cobra because of the reviews, but when I stopped in today just to get a feel for their vibes and ask about pricing, they were super nice and answered all my questions about the cost and pain. Even though it was mostly an exploratory visit for info, they offered to fit me in then and there so I just went for it! I paid $60 total for the two lobes, jewelry cost included. I've been wanting these second piercings for a while and since it's spring break, I figured I may as well treat myself. Jake was very friendly, clean/hygienic and everything you'd hope from someone doing piercings. The actual piercing was much better than I thought it would be, very little pain and didn't take long at all. He explained the aftercare and also gave a printout of the directions. I am very very happy with the piercings and will probably go back to get the third lobe piercing once these have healed a little bit (and I can save up lol).

The transfer was good, spacing looked nice, etc. But when I was laying on the table, something was off. I could feel the artist repeatedly going over a section they had already done. (I could feel the letters as they spelled it out and I knew they should have been finished.) All the words were complete. But the gun was still going. When I asked the artist what was going on, he cleared his throat and hesitated before saying "uhh, umm, yeah. It's done." When I looked in the mirror, I noticed that the word "PAIN" seemed bold compared to the rest of the wording. I thought maybe it was the initial swelling of the tattoo. But even after it healed, the lines word "PAIN" were thicker than the rest of the tattoo. It's been years, and I'm thankful it never blew out. But I'm still disappointed by it and I'm glad I can't see it on a daily basis because it's hidden under my bra. Most days I try to forget it's there because it's truly disappointing.
