Small acts of care and communication can make a significant difference in a patient's experience, especially when they are in pain. Because of this follow-up and willingness to help, I have updated my rating from 2 stars to 3 stars. ------------------------------------------------- At 9:17 AM on 6/10/2026, I received a follow-up call from Amber regarding my appointment. During our conversation, I shared the same concerns I had previously expressed--that I had not yet experienced any relief from the gel that was placed in my ear canal during my visit. Amber was professional and explained that relief may take anywhere from 24 to 48 hours. My review is intended to be honest, transparent, and reflective of my real-life experience.I have only been back in Dallas for three weeks and am still getting established with healthcare providers in the area. Like any patient, I came seeking help, relief, and guidance. My sincere hope is to be happy, healed, and thriving, and I look forward to feeling better soon. ----------------------------------------------- I want to start by saying that Amber was very professional and helpful. She worked with me to get an appointment scheduled for the very next day, which I truly appreciated. The medical assistant who checked me in was also kind, professional, and even offered me Tylenol because she could see that I was in pain. Unfortunately, my experience after seeing the doctor left me feeling disappointed. I came in with a swollen ear canal and severe throbbing pain. The doctor asked a few questions, applied some gel in my ear, and the visit felt very quick. I left feeling much the same as I did when I arrived, with little understanding of the treatment plan and no immediate relief from my symptoms. My appointment was at 1:15 PM, and as I write this at 5:26 PM, I am still experiencing significant pain. My blood pressure was elevated during the visit, which is unusual for me, but I believe it was due to the level of discomfort I was experiencing. I chose this provider because of the excellent reviews, so I was hopeful that I would receive more relief and guidance. At this point, I feel discouraged and uncertain about whether I should return for my follow-up appointment or seek care from another provider. I also feel that the $84 visit did not provide the value or relief I was expecting. I appreciate the professionalism of the staff, but I hope future patients with acute pain receive a more thorough evaluation, clearer communication, and a treatment plan that helps address their symptoms more effectively. One additional consideration for patients is that there is no courtesy parking available in parking lot 3.

I was in so much pain from impacted wax and accidentally yelled the f word at one point during the procedure. AMBER the front desk lady, came in the room immediately out of nowhere, held my hand and was extremely reassuring. I squeezed the heck out of her hand and she was a rock for me, truly above and beyond bedside manner. Then when I got to see Dr. Walter Humann, who only took about 3 minutes time with me and when he asked me a question, I was cut off before finishing my sentence. He was late getting in to see me because I heard him with the patience next door talking for 15 minutes about the FIFA soccer games, I get it, I enjoyed the conversation too even though I was just eavesdropping through the paper thin walls and I figured he would be in a better mood than his front desk staff person was since the convo with his patient was going so well. He was quick, seemed like he didn't care, and I felt just like a number and from the looks of my bill, I just paid his car payment (or maybe half a car payment, depending on his car). The audiologist Dr. Kelly Briley doesn't smile like she does in her pics, I felt like she was also wishing I wasn't there. She was cold, distant, even though I really liked her office, it was warm and inviting and I told her this, no response. After I paid my bill, made a follow up appointment and I had to deal with the same front desk person that checked me in and as she was checking me out, I asked her if she had the correct pharmacy on file for the script that Dr. Humann ordered and she said she did, but how could she since I didn't put it on my paperwork so I asked her to read it out to me to confirm and of course, it was wrong, so I gave her the right address and she got mad, and said "that is what I said" and her voice sounded so angry and evil that I just grabbed my bag and got out of there. Then, I get a call from my pharmacy, the script was called in incorrectly and they were letting me know they contacted the Dr. Humann's office to get it fixed. That was good and I waited, and waited, two days later, my pharmacy told me to call them since they are not getting a response, so I called, left a voice mail and it has been 3 weeks, no response to the pharmacy or myself. I decided to just ask my PCP to fill the script since I would not ever be going back to this office again. Please find a better ENT office, if you can, because this office, does not care about the patient, only the very expensive fees they charge for less than 15 minutes of service.

I thought I don't have acid reflex, but I did do as he said and now after 30 days my voice is actually not as deep and raspy as it was, it's getting so much better and normal like it used to be. Erica was so helpful and knowledgeable about directing me. Other offices wouldn't even talk to me stating they only did sinus surgeries or required a referral or asked if I had seen me Primary about it. Cancer is a scary thing and thanks to Erica at Dr Hung's office and their ability to partner, I was seen quickly.
