This company has a very specific way of doing business that, in my opinion, takes advantage of…read morenaïve consumers. They are friendly on the phone and prompt, but the first thing they do is examine the work and then tell you the price -- and then ask you to sign a contract that you will pay that amount. This seems like a fair way to do business, but it's not. What you do not know is that their pricing is ridiculously high. In my particular example, I was charged $350 for (and I'm not exaggerating) 15 minutes of work. It was a trivial job and they should have told me that. Instead, they relied on me being an unsophisticated home-owner who wants the problem solved and is too naïve to believe that any reputable plumber would grossly overcharge. When the work is done and you're like, "What? You're charging me that amount for a few minutes work," they remind you that you signed a contract. This whole experience left a bad taste in my mouth and I will never do business with this company again. Not only do I feel ripped off and taken advantage of by this transaction, but now I'm suspicious of every repair company. Contrast this with another plumbing repair I recently had. My garbage disposal was jammed. On the phone, he estimated it would $300+ depending on the problem. When he came out, he noticed that it was a very simple (2 minute) fix and then, rather than gouging me, said, "I don't feel right charging you our estimated amount. How about a $95 trip charge and $50 for the repair?" So different.

Thinking one of the girls maybe spilled water, I was wrong. We had a leak coming from under the bathroom sink. Called the spouse to have him come and check to see if the pipes were leaking under the sink. Nope! Spouse said it was in the wall. We called Allen Plumbing & HVAC, as my daughter had previous amazing service on an A/C Unit at another home. Last week two professional young techs came out and knew exactly where to zero in to find the issue. This is a two story home so I was hopeful it wasn't upstairs, and it wasn't. I was amazed at how quickly they found, repaired and were done in no time. And yes she had a leak in the wall. Kudos to both these gentlemen as my 2 year old granddaughter decided they were there to see her. She is not shy at all. When they were getting ready to leave for a quick lunch, she noticed they might leave. She wrapped her tiny arms around their legs to try to make them stay.
