However, To me the pricing seemed extremely excessive, so I contacted a company that Rheem suggested on their website and it turns out they were less than half the price and did the job quickly. What a stress free and seamless experience we had with this company. Our pipes were backed up and we could not figure out what the root cause was. Well, Michael came by and was able to let us know that it was indeed a root problem! He was very knowledgeable about our situation and helped us come up with a plan for the here and now and for the future as we will eventually need more work done. He was able to get our pipes cleared out enough to go back to normal until the major work needs to be done (root removal). Michael was so easy to work with. I called him as a second opinion and he will now be my go-to plumber. His second opinion made me feel better, and what was even better is that it was free since it was a first consultation. No hidden charges, just free. In this economy I wasn't expecting that! I then ended up hiring him to replace two very corroded old faucets in my 1959 home. He fixed a toilet flow valve while here, and then he showed me how to drain and flush the water heater so that I can do this myself now once a year. Also no charge for that. When I received the bill he also has given me a first timers discount. Michael gives old fashioned, hands on, friendly small town type service. This is missing from our world today, but he has it. We scheduled an appointment for a water leak in the kitchen and to have our garbage disposal replaced. The gentleman was very timely and did a great job with the disposal. Hello everyone! I would like to tell you about my experience with The Plumbing Pros. I found this company on NextDoor yesterday 9/30, while looking for a plumber that I could trust. Many folks on NextDoor highly recommended The Plumbing Pros, and specifically Mike Sawyer, his name was mentioned many times with excellent reviews so I thought I would give them a call. I see they also have great reviews here on Yelp, I did check. Ms. Cecelia the office lady was very nice and helpful with me trying to explain what I needed, which was new faucets, shower head etc. installed in one of the bathrooms. She asked if I needed a tech on Monday afternoon but I had something else to do, so she scheduled a Tuesday morning appointment between 8:15-9:00 am. Mike was on time, he's a terrific guy. I see why people mention his name in the reviews, he's a pro and can explain things in layman terms for those of us who don't have plumbing knowledge. We showed him what we needed done and the replacement parts that had. He explained what needed to be done and why (we had a leak that wasn't caught by the person who we had over before that Mike needed to fix before he could do anything) and started work. I think it took him less than 2 hours and now the leak is fixed, there is hot water now and we're ready to get the new tiles installed, once that's done he'll come back and put on the new parts. I have been looking for a plumber that I can trust for a while now, today I found one and The Plumbing Pros are my go to for any other work I may need done. Also, Cecelia called me after Mike left to check on things and to see if I was happy, yes, yes I am! Now that's superior customer service! Fair warning, this review is based solely on how this company responded to my request for a quote. Here on Yelp, they say "Free Estimates". When I inquired about scheduling an estimate, I was told $295 fee would apply for the estimate, and that the fee would apply towards the work if we moved forward. I said, "no thanks". Then confused, I called back and asked about the "Free Estimate" indicated on Yelp -- I was told that if I had three or fewer projects, I'd get a free estimate. Since I asked about 5 things, the estimate would not be free. I appreciate that any vendor has to safeguard the value of their time, but this person who called me didn't even attempt to ask enough detailed questions to determine whether the things I was asking about would require a lot of effort to estimate, or not. Had she done so, she'd have learned that the gas stub for the grill I asked about was about 5 feet of gas line, all exterior (easy job!), and the gas lines for the HVAC system were each about 1 foot in length (again, super easy job). Inspecting the tankless water heater is also fairly simple (I've had this done before at a different property-- inspection isn't a labor intensive process). So, only two of my "projects" are potentially substantial. Very disappointed that no questions were asked, and there wasn't much of an apology for throwing that fee on the estimate without any explanation of their "policies" in the first place. Sorry, Mike -- you've lost a potential customer. read more

It was the day before Thanksgiving, and I had a sewer line backup from my house to the curb. Mike responded within 1 hour from my call and cleared the sewer line. I was very happy with the service.
