I was looking for something special for my guy for his birthday, in particular a nice pocket square. As I pulled up to this old, ivy covered building, I didn't know what to expect. The inside was filled with every color and texture of jackets, pants, shirts and ties. The next room was filled with bow ties, more shirts, cufflinks, even more wonderful, manly items and WINE! Yes, wine by the case! And let's not for about their Hermes shop inside. Talk about dreamy. The service was shy, yet attentive, which was a nice surprise. I was sort of expecting a high-pressure sales atmosphere, but that wasn't the case at all. In fact, the guy who helped me was the son of the owner and he stuck with me through probably about 45 minutes of "Hmmm... I'm not sure" and "Are there more colors?" God bless his soul. And did I mention the huge selection? They seriously showed me over 150 pocket squares. Crazy cool stuff. It's what I'd want a gentlemen's shop to be, what I'd expect to see in a movie, almost. Such a fantastic place! Oh, and lastly, I'm not expert on mens clothing prices, but I pay for service and this place seemed modest with service for days.

Bryan is one of the managers there and he does an excellent job, They do have sales at times on high quality clothes. It's a store that you would visit when you want to get that special something for that hard to find person. It can be pricey, but good clothes usually are. They have a wall of socks in so many colors. They are a shoulder to toe cloth shop! Also I do have a women's sweater I received for Christmas one year that still looks gorgeous.

I was put in touch with a new clothier , David by the owner who called me after the original review. Now Mr Balani himself called and expressed his remorse at the situation. I had needed the suit for my engagement for I was immensely disappointed however he was kind and patient with me and worked to ensure I was taken care of. David , just went above and beyond to make sure everything was communicated in a timely manner and the end result was to my liking. Now here is an important caveat, I'm a drop 12 and most people run a drop 6-8 and because of this the suit was harder to get perfected. The proof of the pudding .. it turned out perfect. How perfect , so much so I wore it to my pandemic wedding over my other options! No other way to say this but if you want a custom suit , go to Balani. The fabric selection, the expertise and the professionalism which is modelled from the very top is well worth it. No two ways around it, no one else in Cleveland comes close. Old reviews and updates below : So let's get this right , this is the update for an order placed sept 21 and paid for in full. It was not turned around on time and there was no communication on their end until I reached out. I had ordered this with a specific party in mind and I notified them at the time, however that event came and went.. the agent I worked with no longer works there so there is that. However with both agents , there is a tendency to blame someone else for the problem. From the mill in Milan to the tailor in Hong Kong - personally I could care less but I digress. Subsequent to the first person I've currently beeworking with David Tinter who communicates more and errs on the side of over communicating than under which I greatly appreciate. I have been rather disgruntled by the experience and in spite of my unpleasantness he has been very pleasant to work with. So as far as I go 5 stars for the sales agent there So the good - the pants fit , the vest fit. The jacket not so much. Now here's my problem, they were supposed to be made for me but it looked like it was altered from an off the rack jacket. Why do I say this? Because I have had this done and that's what it looked it. Excessive fabric up front , the sleeves poorly fitting and from what I could tell crumpled up into the armseye. Now on to the shirt they insisted I get , the length was off by 7 inches or so. How does that happen, how poor is the quality control that you permitted that to happen? The sleeve length was off too by an inch or so which made it an awkward length. The chest area was off as well and didn't seem well tailored to me. I've had shirts made in India for significantly lesser, and not someone they call a master tailor that fit better . Again this questions the quality control and overall ability to deliver a solid product. So why all this detail, if you're looking to get a product in a set time, this isn't it. Here's my gripe - this was for my engagement party and I am not pleased with it one damn bit. I'm not going to ding the place to a one star just yet till I see what they can do it finally and if this is worth the trouble. Again as mentioned the staff seem ok, and they want to see you have the right product but there seemed to be a disconnect with the tailors. I say disconnect because their tailors are off shore , so things could get lost in translation so to speak. I'll update this again when I get a product to try again.

I came to have my wedding dress altered here prior to my wedding in June 2023. Their policy is to…read morehave 3 in-person fittings prior to the date of the wedding. At my first fitting, we discussed changes to the dress and pins were placed throughout from top to bottom. I also got a price estimate at $740 including an itemized breakdown of all the costs, and agreed to this price. When I came for my second fitting a few weeks later, only the bust was altered, and the majority of the dress had not been worked on. All the pins on the bottom were gone. They apologized and said they had "forgotten" about it. All the pins had to be re-placed which took a long time. I asked for an additional fitting as well, because the second appointment was unfortunately a waste of my time, which they obliged to. At the third fitting, the dress was becoming more fitted, except the bust was a bit too tight. They said they would loosen it up just a bit. I picked up my dress one day before the wedding. H At this time, I was told to pay $840, which was $100 more than the quoted price. In all of my fittings throughout 6 months, the price increase was never mentioned to me. They said the price increase was because there was work required than initially expected. Unfortunately I did not have a choice but to pay what they demanded, otherwise they would hold my $2000+ dress hostage. I find this to be an extremely shady business practice. I tried the dress on the morning of my wedding, and was shocked at how extremely loose the bust was. When I looked down, I could see so much of my boobs. I was uncomfortable throughout my wedding day as the dress felt so insecure at the bust. Going from way too tight, to way too loose, showed me that the alterations here are very haphazard. I had no time for an additional alteration and unfortunately trusted them to make the micro-adjustments based on their expertise. Overall, because of the poorly altered bust, "forgetting" to alter half the dress, and the extra charge out of left field before my wedding day with no notice, I unfortunately cannot give them a higher rating than 2 stars.
