I never feel rushed when I see him and he always answers my questions and then some. I can't say, however, that I like the rest of this practice. The front end staff have been rude on more than one occasion and difficult when trying to make appointments. They are especially difficult when calling to speak with a nurse. They act like they are doctors and you are bothering them. I'm also not a huge fan of the other doctors and NP's who work here. Kathleen McKeon is quite standoffish and quick to get you out the door. Dr. Kim, who I have had to see a few times when my doctor was unavailable was the worst. Every appointment with her was a complete waste of time, with no resolution or answers. She refuses to give a referral to a specialist even though she can't figure out a diagnosis. She wasted months of my time when I had an urgent circulatory matter (a blood clot) that actually required an emergent CT scan with IV contrast. I didn't know it at the time, when I went to see her that it was a blood clot. Only after going to a quick care and getting a referral to a vascular surgeon was I told what it was. I will never take an appointment with her again and if you have anything out of the ordinary going on, I recommend you see another doctor. Would rate this practice lower, but I really love Dr Kazimierczak!

The front desk reception is exceptionally rude. If you carry any outstanding balance, patient care and mental health immediately cease to be a priority--the sole focus becomes collecting payment. Furthermore, descriptions claiming the facility is "clean" are inaccurate; located inside a mini-mall, the office gives the impression of a temporary pop-up operation rather than an established medical clinic. I received treatment from Micah Malenfant for years. He eventually expressed dissatisfaction with Seaside and departed to launch a private practice, suggesting I transition with him to ensure continuity of care. It was only after I moved to his private practice that Seaside suddenly claimed my final appointment was not covered by insurance, leaving me with a substantial balance. Ever since I prioritized continuing care with my long-term provider, they have treated me poorly regarding this balance. Years later, Mr. Malenfant began abruptly ignoring my communications right when my long-standing prescription renewals were due. After failing to submit my refills or respond to me for over a week, his eventual reply was vague and failed to disclose that his private practice had closed and he was forced to return to Seaside. He subsequently emailed asking if I was available on a specific date to figure out my treatment; I confirmed my availability immediately, but heard nothing back. Rather than professionally addressing the disruption to my care or providing a clear explanation, he sent extensive, highly unprofessional emails detailing his own personal issues and life crises. While I wish hardship on no one and hope he receives any care he may need, a provider cannot operate this way while managing patients. Shortly after apologizing and promising to work things out, his final message stated he would simply no longer respond to me. Both the facility and Micah Malenfant demonstrate severe unprofessionalism, prioritizing balance collection over patient safety and mental health. Navigating healthcare is difficult enough, and no one deserves to experience this level of neglect. If management takes accountability and resolves these issues appropriately, I will gladly remove this post, as I have no desire to criticize anyone unfairly. Until then, please stay away for your own mental health and safety.

A few years back I was getting sinus infections all of the time. When you know you have one, you know. Before I knew about the joys of telemedicine (it's so convenient to just tell someone over the phone your symptoms, the color of your phlegm, and exactly what antibiotic you need to get through the extreme discomfort of a sinus infection; which, if you've never had one, feels like your face is being kicked in), I came here. The wait time was what I thought it would be: around an hour or so. It was relatively quiet when I came, the waiting room was clean, and the interactions with each staff member was nice. I was brought to a bed where a doctor saw me almost immediately. I explained to him that I got sinus infections a lot and I believed I was on the verge of getting one, but really wanted to take care of it ASAP, since I was getting ready to do a bunch of international travel. He took a flashlight, held it against my cheeks, and said, "Yep, you definitely do." (Apparently this is called the transillumination test: the sinuses are supposed to appear hollow and have a reddish glow; if infected it appears opaque and the light doesn't shine through). He was friendly, funny, gentle, patient, and made me feel seen and heard. Now that I can use telemedicine through my employer, I'll probably just keep doing that. BUT if they were to suggest I needed to see someone and my PCP wasn't available, I think - for the Greater Portland area - this is where I'd come back to!

He had a TALKING SCALE! I WAS a very big gal (almost 300 Lbs) Why did I HATE HIM? I felt he was so insulting!! AND WELL the bedside manners, maybe so,, BUT HE WAS NOT WRONG!! It took me MANY years to realize this, but I am so happy I did. Dr Hull took the skeleton he had/has, showed me exactly why my back was hurting so much, due to the excess weight. OH BOY I walked out of there FUMING to myself and the person with me!! BUT HE WAS NOT WRONG and deep down I KNEW THAT!! THANKS to Dr Hull, I am now at 166 lbs. My back RARELY HURTS. It was NOT just weight loss. Dr Hull and I hit heads several times (LOL If he sees this, I am the one who told you to also lose weight that I know your Dr wasn't pleased with your weight gain. I am sure now you may remember me, if you see this) I had been losing weight at this time. He angered me, in so many ways, but HE WAS RIGHT TOO!! Dr.'s now a days have to be so careful on what they say, it's TO BAD they do. Dr Hull upon hearing me saying some exercises were hurting me so much more he DID listen. He had XRays taken and had other exercises given to me. I had moved to Colorado, and am now back in Maine. In Colorado I saw another back Dr, who was able to manipulate my spine so it had straightened out! WOW!! WISH That could be here in Maine. But as the Dr. in Colorado did that, a LOT of what Dr Hull taught me came so much into play. IT does to this very day. Today when the pain hits, I do a few yoga stretches and I AM GOOD TO GO again!! Literally with what I learned from him was to take action and not sit on my butt when the pain hits, thanks to the yoga poses, I'll in 5 mins go from a pain level of 6 down to a 1 and even a 0. If you want a Dr who cares (it may not seem it at times, well it did/didn't to me) I HIGHLY recommend Dr. Hull. Today at 166 LBS, with ALL of the help I've gotten I can again put my leg on the top of my HEAD And I am in my mid 60s! Be ready to work, what you put into it, you'll get out of it. The back pain will not leave without your investing yourself into it. Though it's unquestionable when evaluating whether to employ any service or to shop in any store or…read moredine in any restaurant, one is better served by evaluating the WHOLE of the service provided rather than the performance of one employee such as a server, clerk, or receptionist. With that, if exposed to only one person, in this case one doctor of the many in this service, it's difficult to evaluate MORE than just the one. That's my caveat. It appears, based on previous reviews, this office many have previously or perhaps even currently is struggling with some customer service issues. My experience wasn't entirely stellar, but altogether not atypical for many of the health services I've been exposed to in the Portland area. There's a feel of being in the mill, just another number, not personal. There's a large population to be served so they get a pass from me on that topic. I'm never quite comfortable with office personnel being trapped behind the sliding glass windows and me on the outside not knowing whether to rap on the window if they do not acknowledge me, stand there waiting for eye contact from them hoping that means they recognize I have to check in, or just take a seat and hope they'll address me when they can. This office suffers from this malady. Most medical providers have struggled in their attempts to commit dedicated space for folks to reveal their personal data and thereby protect their HIPA rights. This office suffers from this malady as well. One is forced to stand at the window, within full earshot of the entire waiting area (about 15 x 15) and rattle through name, dob, phone, etc. Again not atypical. Once past the experience of checking in and getting in with my doc I was quite pleased. Appropriately polite, engaged, invested in my story, and detailing everything I brought up, then feeding it back to me for confirmation on all the details. This, in my opinion, is exactly what any provider needs to do in order to accurately understand what the patient is presenting with. My doc was terrific simply put. He explained exactly what his service would be, the timing as he imagined in advance of actually treating me, the outcome he would hope for, and instilled a sense of confidence in me that I was in good hands. Check out was simple and quick, my hope for every visit. It's rare for me to rate 5 stars because there's always room for improvement, but this facility gets 4 thanks to all that I've noted in this review.

I was happy with him until one appointment where the adjustment he gave me left me in severe pain and almost crippled from the pain. I tried calling his office, but they were closed during that weekday. When I brought it up at a follow up, he said it was normal. We had discussed a treatment option, which he was going to look into. He decided to do the opposite of what we had talked about. I went along with it, but I had issues. He wasn't willing to look into other options to help me. He seems to have a very limited protocol for addressing issues. It might be great if you're one of the people it works well for. If you're not, then he can't help. He seems unwilling to think outside the box to figure out how to help people. Also, if you're sensitive to heat avoid this office during the summer since they have no air conditioning. It was 90 out when I was there, and it felt like that when I was in his office. He didn't seem willing to figure out what's going on with me when I said that I felt like passing out just sitting in the office.

I was really hurting, and they took care of me with such care and professionalism. 1) They were proactive, constantly reaching out to me to make sure I had all of the appointments I needed, and they were always available to speak on a phone call. Their operation is incredibly well-oiled and organized. 2) Everyone from the receptionist, to the lab technician, to the physicians expressed real, genuine concern for my well-being. Their kindness meant so much. And I could see them interacting similarly with all of the other patients. 3) I had seen several teams of physicians, totaling probably 15 medical professionals prior to coming to Rheumatology Associates, and no one could crack the case of what was wrong with me. Dr. Kerouack and Dr. Gartner figured it out immediately, and quickly had me on the mend. I'm so thankful to this wonderful organization!
