Six doctors and neurologists before I saw her had a litany of concerns about me and pointed out long-term issues I would suffer. Even though I saw 6 doctors already, workman's comp requested for me to see Dr. Glass. Dr. Glass attempted to mock me, asked if I had a lawyer and tried to discredit my injuries. Some issues were unbeknownst to me and diagnosed by a neurologist. I was found 100% disabled after seeing her, which was 8 years ago. If she is an upstanding/credible doctor, why was I found to be 100% disabled? All of the specialists, doctors and neurologists I have seen since Dr. Glass have the same concerns as the first 6 doctors. She is the only doctor, if that's what you can call her, out of over a dozen doctors who failed to see the medical concerns. That makes her a fraud. She behaved unprofessionally and in an unethical manner. If workman's comp requests for you to go see her, deny and request an unbiased doctor instead.

During my case review he demonstrated that he has very deep knowledge and understanding of my disease, provided me with his realistic predictions of how he could help me, and explained in depth the various outcomes of my upcoming surgery. In my preoperative appointment he was compassionate, careful and clear, taking all the time I needed to review my case notes and help me understand my disease and the treatment that he had planned. Through his explanations, he spoke to me respectfully and was never condescending. He even took time out of his busy day to provide sight-seeing suggestions to my family so that they wouldn't sit restlessly in the waiting room during my long surgery. Before the surgery he was calm and reassuring to both me and my worried family members. Afterward, he clearly explained everything he had done during the surgery and what he expected my outcome to be. He provided me with his direct cell number and email address so that I could contact him quickly and directly if I had any concerns during my recovery. Once I was out of the hospital and recovering at my hotel, he visited me at my hotel room and painstakingly reviewed my operative reports and photographs, explaining clearly and in detail each task that he had performed during my surgery. I was a mess inside, but he managed to save one of my damaged ovaries and repair damage to my bladder caused by another doctor. I had already lost 50lbs over 5 years on my own but felt like I was fighting a losing battle. When you join this program, call your insurance company and print out the details or send the link. These folks can make sense of your insurance and requirements, especially if you think you want bariatric surgery (you don't have to have surgery if you don't want to. FYI, the surgeons are with Casco Bay Surgery next door). They will walk you through what you need to do and when. If you miss a visit that your insurance requires, you will have to start over. The classes are good general info and will address most of your questions. If you have very personal specific questions, you're better off asking at your individual appointments. And appointments you will have! Insurance requirements can be strict. You will attend 2 classes, a dietician, nurse practitioner and social worker appointments. If you are having surgery, there are regimented time frames. They provide a very easy road map to help you be successful. The booklet is very helpful. Whichever path you choose, they are open, caring, stern and kind. The only thing missing is an affiliation with trainers/gym to compliment your work.

I had a frozen shoulder ( which is quite painful!) that began a few months after I took a very hard fall. Dr Lou treated me with adjustments and acupuncture. Frozen shoulder takes 1-3 years to heal. I was moving my shoulder with much less pain and slowly increased range of motion within a couple of months! My sports medicine physician recommended the acupuncture for the pain. I'm here to say it works! I'm 8 months into my frozen shoulder diagnosis and I'm 99% better! Range of motion is back and the pain is minor at worst.
