Found this company on a hunch after giving up on Uber and several other cab companies while my car was in the shop. They always come several minutes early or are right on time. Who would have thought a cab company would be so much more reliable than Uber?? Especially in Rockford! Their pricing is only a couple bucks more than it would be for an Uber. Forest City Is one of the best in Rockford . It's cab fairs are average and comparable to taxi's in any city. The drivers are on time with their time estimates, and generally have a friendly disposition. The cabs are always clean and kept up. The dispatch is well co-ordinated. This is a great local cab service in Rockford. Traditional traveling apps like Lyft can be difficult to get here especially when going out at nights. My husband tried to get a ride was told 15 minutes for pickup. I called 1 1/2 hours later because he had not been picked up they said 2 minutes 1/2 hour later my husband got a ride from someone else. Super bad service not impressed at all. read more

Forest City Cab deserves 0 stars! Our car broke down. We were stranded and could not get home. I called Forest City Cab. They said they would be there to pick us up in 30 minutes or less. I called them 45 min. later and they said, their driver had to make another stop (WHAT?), and it would be 15 minutes more. Then an hour and a half later I called again. They did not answer the call for a long time. When they finally did answer they quickly disconnected me.They never called me back. We waited a total of 2 hours and finally called another cab company to take us home. Save yourself the trouble and frustration... DON'T CALL FOREST CITY CAB! read more
