Phone service is terrible. No effort to fix it.

Had another great experience with Dr. Shin and Shyanne today, always so thoughtful and caring. Also, last time I was there they took my blood pressure and it was really high, I had it checked out and now I'm on blood pressure meds, they may have saved my life! Thanks. read more

I went to Forest Dental Center every 6 months for several years, and was happy enough with them (at least as happy as someone with dental anxiety can be). Then had a family crisis and it was 18 months before I went again, which I made clear when I made the appointment. However, when I got in the chair, a big deal was made about it. It was like an alarm went off as they talked amongst themselves: "She hasn't been here in 2 years!" "She hasn't been here in 2 years!" My teeth weren't even in bad shape but I was made to feel humiliated. Someone with dental anxiety has a hard enough time making themselves go to the dentist; they don't need to be chastised for a lapse in going. If not for that last visit I would have continued to come back to Forest Dental Center even after I moved an hour away. But after that experience, never. read more

I have enjoyed my experience at this office. The staff is kind and attentive. The appointments are quick and painless. However, when I called a month in advance to tell them i want to reschedule my appointment from August, they said "our next opening is in february". I have had this experience here many times. Typically, I make the excuse of "it's probably COVID related". But this just keeps happening. They may be taking on too many patients to provide good service. I asked to be on the cancellation list a month ago.. haven't heard back. If you make an appointment here (which typically happens months in advance) make sure you can attend it. Otherwise you may be waiting a year for a tooth cleaning. read more

I enjoy coming here for the most part. The staff is FANTASTIC including front office staff and the dentists that work here. My only issue is that they FLY through the cleaning. I do not feel like they thoroughly clean and they see a TON of patients in very short amounts of time. This makes for virtually NO wait time as I have never had to wait more than 5 minutes, but my cleaning is also done so quickly which is quite disappointing as well. read more

My husband and I had the nicest experience at this office. The staff is so friendly, helpful, and encouraging. They made us feel important even though we were walk-ins. They are simply a money grab! I spend half my time there with them trying to sell additional services then they rush through your cleaning (barely removing the gross toothpaste they use for cleaning. It's all about the money and not the true care. I left here several years ago and decided to come back for convenience because my dentist is winding down, what a bad decision I made to choose this practice. It's not the same place it was 10 years ago. I feel like I am in a time share presentation while there. They coded my simple cleaning as something different to get more money out of me and my insurance company. read more

Twice now when they have told me something would be free, they send a bill for the service.

This is going to be a rather lengthy rant, but I am rather angry. Here we go: so in April of 2017 I had dental work done at Forest Dental Center on Graves Mill Rd and they gave me quotes of how much it'd be and I signed off and made two payments, one in April and one in May during my second visit. In the space of a month, between the two services, one would assume they would've processed something with the insurance company and had been able to tell me if I owed anything further, but no. They did not and I made my second, and what I assumed to be final, payment and was ushered out the door. I never received a statement and I went about my life. Fast forward to January of 2018, when filing my taxes, I called and asked for a summary of my account so I could file the medical expenses on my taxes. They sent me a summary and AGAIN, no one informed me I owed an outstanding balance. Later in January of 2018, I received a statement claiming I owed over $1,000 dollars to Forest Dental. Less than a week later I received a notice that my account had been forwarded to a collections agency. At this point I was confused and surely thought something was wrong. To make a long story short: I had double coverage at the time of the service and the primary insurance apparently quit covering restorative services and never thought to tell me since I was not the policy holder, but a dependent. So I start calling and calling and calling to try to fix things and the Insurance Coordinator, Sherry, either failed to return any of my FOUR messages or just ignored them. I finally got a hold of her and she agreed to put me on a payment plan and pull my account back. Mind you, this has taken over two weeks to correct due to the sheer inability to get in contact with anyone in regards to my account. (Could have affected my credit as I called the agency after Sherry promised to pull my account back, which she did not until I called her for a fifth time to "remind" her of what she'd promised.) I then asked for a discount due to the absolute nightmare that this has been and the failure to communicate the cost with me prior to or after service and Sherry promised she'd email me that afternoon after we hung up. ANOTHER WEEK GOES BY and NOTHING FROM SHERRY. So I call and ask to speak to the Manager, not Sherry. But Sherry answers. She can't remember what she told me, so I have to explain EVERYTHING again for the tenth time. She says she will call me back...again...after she talks with the manager about discounting my service. Anyways, no discount will be given and I cannot get in touch with the office manager because she's "busy." I AM IRATE. Never in my life have I experienced such horrible service or communication. I won't be going back and I recommend you take your business elsewhere, too. read more
