What a beautiful spot for a dentistry office! They have breathtaking views of the mountains. I love going to get my teeth cleaned just for this perk alone. But, they have more than just that! :) TVs are in every cleaning room and you can choose what you would like to watch. Love that. Also, everyone is very nice and accommodating. My only complaint is that they don't have any later appointments - only regular business hours. And, that is tough when you are working a full-time job. I usually just take my lunch break and go out there, but if I didn't have flexibility with work, that would be a deal-breaker. Overall, I like Forest Family Dentistry. I think I have been seen by all of the dentists who practice there and have enjoyed them all. read more

I was unfortunately given this dentist by the Veterans Affairs and I hate a bit of work to be done. The bed side manner of my nurse was awesome, but the dentist barely even spoke to me at all. I had Dr. Gentry(sp?). Anyway I had a root canal done about 3 months ago and they did a crown and I gave it a bit of time afterwards to ensure that it wasn't just site pain from the procedure and it is not. The pain that I have is from that tooth, doesn't radiate anywhere else, and there is no soreness from the gums, or other teeth in my mouth at all. It is literally located in that tooth alone. I contacted them to let them know I am still having the issues and they told me that I would have to get approval from the VA, or self pay in order for them to fix their own mistake. Worst practice I think I have ever seen! Takes them forever to actually get anything done with the VA, and they down talk my VA representative that deals with them on a each visit basis. Not to mention one day I came in for an appointment and they didn't come to get me for an hour and a half after my appointment time and then asked me if I could be seen at a different time effectively wasting a half of day of work. These "dentists" have no idea what they are doing. Today I went back to see why Dr. Norton(who is rude, and doesn't pay attention to detail at all, and is always in a rush) I went back to see why one of my cavities she filled had been hurting. It was really sensitive and I thought it was just healing. U got it done April 9th. It's been over 90 days, and my tooth has now started hurting so bad I can't chew on that side, nothing can even touch it. I told them today how I didn't like her and I wanted a different dentist. Dr. Gentry (the owner) saw me and confirmed that she filled my cavity so much that it caused my tooth structure to weaken and my tooth had multiple fractures on the back! When I complained about her, he actually laughed at me! And the dental assistant kept saying how great of a dentist she was..okay! So why do I need a crown or to get that tooth pulled!?!? THEN they told me they "didn't have time to fix it" and wanted to send me away with antibiotics. I told them how they were and I walked out without even paying and I just absolutely dare them to send me a bill! They are reckless and insensitive and their practice is shit read more

I just had the best dentist's appointment I've had in my life. I don't usually write reviews, but Sarah Gavin at Forest Family Dentistry provided off the hook service and I wanted to publicly commend her for it. I've been negligent on keeping my regular appointments and, as such, needed some extra attention. It's like they matched my case to the best person for the job - Sarah explained things very well (without scolding) and was extremely efficient. She did x-rays, gum measurements, and cleaned my teeth in one appointment. I promise you, Forest Dental Center, that I'll be back in 6 months. I've never written a review, but this place is awful. I went in with NO tooth pain and a year later, I've never been so frustrated. Dr. Norton is terrible. She has no idea what is happening from one minute to the next. The wait is always an hour or longer. Two of the fillings she put in fell out, causing extreme pain. on one filling she accidentally exposed my nerve root, and nonchalantly told me I'd be coming back in for a root canal soon. (Those are not cheap and i never even felt i had a cavity where she was drilling. ) I went originally for TMJ pain, which has never been corrected, yet they have "corrected" several "cavities" that never once gave me a problem. I have excellent dental hygeine. I still don't think I even had any. Anyway, they were supposed to make a mouth guard for me, but just prescribed muscle relaxers and told me to buy one on amazon, which was terrible. They always complain while I'm there. They don't note the chart from visit to visit. So nothing they did or preformed on me is noted and every time i went in for a new treatment, they would find something else or want to re fill a cavity they filled a month ago. when bringing up the fillings that fell out, they said they didn't fill it, when I PAID for them to, felt them do it, and was there when it fell out. ( they just don't note the work) and forget patient to patient. I always go in with a cheerful attitude and try to be understanding bc i know they are busy, but they have caused me SO MUCH PAIN, cost me so much money, and the hygenist always has me shaking mad when I leave. ( she always wants me to pay for new xrays and when i say no, she gets rude with me and slams things and walks away, very unprofessional) I stayed for over a year and am now trying to find a new dentist to correct all the things they messed up. seriously STAY AWAY. I wish i would have read similar reviews before going there. You think because this place is fancy and beautiful they would provide quality service but they are awful. EVEN the receptionist when i called to ask about excruciating pain from a recent filling, told me that I don't know what I'm talking about, that I don't know it was from her filling, and was rude to me, said she would call me back if they could get me in YET she never even asked me my name! Still waiting on that "call back"?. You have to be your own advocate in health care, and these people are NOT good for your health. read more

Stay Away!! Someone my mother knows recommended this practice to her. So, the first time she went to see Melinda Norton and the doctor told her that she had some cavities, but she was not sure yet and they would contact her about it. Time passed and she never heard back. Six months later, she goes for her next appointment and Melinda Norton tells her that her teeth look great and to keep doing what she is doing. The 3rd appointment comes around, 6 months later, and Norton tells her that she has 4 big cavities that need to be worked on immediately. WTF! How do 4 huge cavities appear within 6 month's time?? So, she has the cavities done by Schandroff (who is another quack) and after a week is still having pain. They put her on antibiotics and even though the pain is gone, one side where the cavity was is still a little tender. A couple of months later, her jaw is swollen really badly. She calls the doctor and they prescribe another antibiotic, which helps with the swelling and pain. By the time she gets in to see them, Schandroff tells her that she has to have a root canal and to come back next week. She goes back the next week to see Gentry (because he would be the one to do the root canal) and he tells her that she needs to see a periodontist because it is an abscess and a root canal is not necessary (after making us wait for over 1 hour). My point is that all three of these doctors are morons and do not know their jobs. Stay away from them! I have cancelled my appointments with them and will certainly be finding a new dentist. In fact, we have contacted a lawyer about this. read more

if you are looking for a dentist who listens to their patients, look else where. the service you receive here will be what THEY DECIDE, not what you want or may need. i tried to get a basic checkup and cleaning. when i arrived i was informed that i would have to go through an evaluation first and no cleaning was scheduled. at least they couls have told me this when i scheduled. read more
