The CNAs were always attentive and polite even when he was not. The nurses helped with his wound care and kept his pain under control. The care managers made sure he got to his appointments even tho dealing with insurance was a headache but it really helped take the pressure off his wife so she could focus on his healing. The administrator is so kind and you can really tell she cares about her team. The doctors and his team made a difference in my friend's care. Best Part is when I came to visit, it was clean and didn't smell like a Nursing home, if you know what I mean!

I've had my mother in this facility for about 4 years. The last year she started to have more…read morememory problems. Since she can't fully fend for herself I feel that they are taking advantage of that and giving her absolutely horrible care. Breakfast won't come until 9:00 to 10:00 a.m. and sometimes not at all without her calling. We pay to have help putting on her compression socks and shoes in the morning and taking them off at night for the last month we've had to call nearly every single day to get someone to do this for her. This week she didn't get her bath and they wouldn't reschedule it so hopefully she'll get one tonight since this is her second scheduled time per week. They just don't care. The quality of meals has gone down as well. If your mother or father can't fend for themselves do not put them in this facility. They do not have enough staff even though there are a few that are very good people they can't do it all.

My wife required a high level of assistance and the staff was always attentive and response. Being located in a smaller City, the staff were representative of the small town, "we care" attitude. The litmus test is, How Did She Do, Once I Brought Her Home? I was instructed on all of the medical gear that I should have to ensure she could transfer successfully. With all of the new gear that we used, she got stronger and stronger. As a side note: During her three weeks in Forest Grove, I had an opportunity to sample a lot of the local restaurants and that is a plus for friends and families of residents. Some great places to order food to go and take it back to the facility. In fact, we are still going to some of the restaurants I found. As an overall experience- I give them a GOLD STAR.

They have always been attentive and respectful. I did have one PA that I didn't really mesh with but I was easily able to work around that. And I don't care where you go nowadays, you need to be on top of your test results, make a follow up appointment.. There's a reason for My Chart and MVMC website which I believe is Athena...With the overwhelming number of patients now there is always a huge delay in the doctors office reviewing them as there's a huge backlog because everyone in the free world gets the same care now whether you have the best insurance or Medicaid..That's what happens when the healthcare system is overwhelmed and people make appointments for things that are unnecessary.. So read your test results and research the terminology used. Then express your concerns about the results with your doctor. It's very simple and takes just a couple of minutes to look up the terminology in your results.. Then you know what's going on with yourself. Don't be lazy and take some responsibility for your own wellbeing.. Very happy and content to be a patient of MVMC..!!
