I have been going to MVMC for about 6 years. The Dr.'s I have seen have all listened thoroughly to what I had to say and treated me accordingly.. They have always been attentive and respectful. I did have one PA that I didn't really mesh with but I was easily able to work around that. And I don't care where you go nowadays, you need to be on top of your test results, make a follow up appointment.. There's a reason for My Chart and MVMC website which I believe is Athena...With the overwhelming number of patients now there is always a huge delay in the doctors office reviewing them as there's a huge backlog because everyone in the free world gets the same care now whether you have the best insurance or Medicaid..That's what happens when the healthcare system is overwhelmed and people make appointments for things that are unnecessary.. So read your test results and research the terminology used. Then express your concerns about the results with your doctor. It's very simple and takes just a couple of minutes to look up the terminology in your results.. Then you know what's going on with yourself. Don't be lazy and take some responsibility for your own wellbeing.. Very happy and content to be a patient of MVMC..!! read more

Where to begin..... I've been being misdiagnosed for almost three years with my Doctor telling me "There's nothing wrong with you, you're in great shape!" But when you know, you know! If I would have waited I probably would have been in Stage 4 Cancer instead of just stage 3. I switched to a new Primary Care Physician and she's at the top of her game! Still waiting for an apology that I know will never come. Had lung cancer surgery on March 29th and had the Tumor removed along with 45% of my right lung! But, "You're in Great Shape Cole!" The most unprofessional doctors office I've ever been in! The girls at both locations at the front I don't know how any have been hired! The ones that do stay!!! They have a quick turn around which speaks for itself. I am there sick as is everyone else and they think they are at a karaoke club. Laughing, singing, doing hair! The talk that goes on while waiting (cause they can and do run late every time but don't you dare be 7 mins after!) Is inappropriate. The next time I want to hear about witches and coven talk, I'll be sure to come back! Seriously I couldnt belive the talk I was listening to.I will be looking for a new pcp as I can't handle the vibe this office gives out. Nothing but a bunch of young uneducated people running around. I laughed when the girl with space buns was singing as I walked in last time because it's almost comical how they behave! You don't get anything you ask for. The MAs are no better. This Doctors office gives quality care. One on one. Excellent care actually. But when you leave. Responsibility is dropped. Getting labs, medical referrals to Specialists. Filling out FMLA paperwork. You can never get an urgent appointment in, and will be waiting 3 weeks to follow up on an ER or urgent care trip. Administration has the doctors tied up with no room for emergency drop in. Providers are great, as long as whatever you might need can wait a month. What is the point of a primary care doctor if you have to use ER/urgent care for emergency, maybe urgent, diagnosis and followup? Mountain view is a prime example of the broken healthcare system. read more

Oh, that is a joke what Dr. Timothy Gray wrote... He basically ripped his friend off to get the company back in 91 I know them very well... He kicked me out of his office for no reason and basically we figured out that it was because I had a migraine so bad one day I couldn't talk so my husband had to talk for me, and he got offended that my husband spoke on my behalf instead of me And to be honest, he ruined my life. I was completely off pain meds and I said can't you just give me like 10 Vicodin a month because I was on a lot before then, because I have a lot of injuries and he was like no that will never work for you and put me back on 105 mg of MS Cotton, and like eight oxycodone a day and I had to go all through withdrawals again to get off of that because I believe the doctor when they tell me you need to take this forever no I didn't, he flat out lied to me. I was nothing but nice to them and they are horrible. Karen is really great. If you go there she's the only person I'd go to although I have to say I love Karen she has no idea what medication to prescribes before you take any pill they prescribe you you better study what it is because some of the medication they give you if you quit cold turkey will kill you and they don't tell you that, it's ridiculous and disgusting. Also they don't know how damaging like gabapentin is I have a friend who died at 60 something because of cirrhosis of the liver and he never drank in his life he was just prescribed gabapentin, so maybe you should just check your medication if it's prescribed to you but I wouldn't see anyone, except for Karen or Dr. TJ Junior there are the only ones there who have half a brain and do their job good but if you're poor they won't help you so just keep walking if you are read more

At least one other person mentioned that they were discharged from the clinic after years of going to the doctors there. That happened to me, too. I asked why, and was told I'd threatened to hit the phlebotomist (the woman who takes blood samples) if she dared to lay a hand on me. This never happened. Why I would go into her office, sit down, stick out my arm, then tell her I'd hit her if she performed her task, they didn't say -- especially when, after she couldn't find a vein in my arm, I went to Tuality and had the blood drawn without incident. I also had a friend who was discharged from the clinic without explanation, so perhaps this is something they just do. Perhaps it was because Dr. T.J. kept accusing me of taking too much Xanax, and I kept printing out the records from Costco to prove I was doing no such thing. Doctors now think I may have fibromyalgia, which can cause anxiety and sleeplessness -- hence the need for the Xanax -- but this was a possibility they never looked into. But constantly being treated like a drug addict, despite my never even maxing-out my dosage! -- led to many confrontations. There are many other problems my husband and I had over the years -- misdiagnoses, diagnoses without follow-up, physical therapy being done by a physical trainer, not a qualified PT (they've since shut down the PT department), and more. After long experience with many of the providers here, I cannot recommend this clinic. read more

I went here for years, the people are friendly but often are out of their element when it comes to providing sound medical advice. Often times when I would come in I felt like I was the doctor, they seemed clueless to what was going on and I had to suggest possibly treatment options. If you have a cold I'm sure this place will do, but if you have anything remotely serious I would try somewhere else first read more

My husband and I have been visiting MVMC for almost a year now. We are in our 70s, with established pharmaceutical routines for a number of issues. We moved to Forest Grove from a small town in CA, where we were pleased with the medical services we received, but at this point, we are even happier with the ease of making appointments with MVMC providers, who have connected us with specialists covered by our insurance plan. Physician's Assistant Ericka Horner and her assistant, Carla, are thoughtful and conscientious. Senior Dr. Gray reminded my husband of Marcus Welby, M.D., not a TV personality known by young people today but one, in "our time," who conveyed steadfastness and genuine concern. Although my husband and I have lived and endured in WA, GA, CA, and now OR, we're posting this review out of respect for the MVMV staff. May they endure for many years as well. I have been going to Mountain View for a few years now, and never thought to yelp review it until now. As we have all been aware - snowmageddon has come and gone for the west side, and I have fallen victim to its slick ways. I slipped on the snow and after a few trips to the chiro (which helped, but didn't fix) I ended up in the ER with severe back and hip pain. I was completely lop sided. My left hip stuck out from my body about 6 inches, becuase my back was all jacked up. The ER doctor wasn't great, but gave me some useful info: I had really irritated my muscles and needed a muscle relaxer and pain meds. Gave me a Rx and sent me off. I normally see Bob Gusti at the Forest Grove office, but the ER doctor asked me to follow up with a PCP asap. So when I called the first availability was for the next day, Monday, with the newest provider, Dr. Tom Gray, at the HIllsboro location. Now, first off, Bob whom I see normally, is an AMAZING nurse practitioner. I love him!! He's so compassionate and eager to help, and listen and goes the distance. Every single time I've seen him (which is, no offense to him, far to often) he's been attentive and amazing and didn't talk down to me. I've also seen Dr. TJ or Thomas J Gray who is the son of the original owner. He's also awesome! I talked to him about some foot pain and he gave me some great pointers about home things I could do to relive the pain without narcotic medications, which I refuse to us. So when I saw Dr. Tom Gray (Dr TJ's son) I was not surprised to find him caring, and willing to go above and beyond what I expected. I was in so much pain, and he took the time to talk to me on a level field. He didn't talk down to me, didn't blame my issue on my weight, or take any of the easy diagnosis ways out. He really focused on my pain and talked to me. My 15 minute appointment took an hour, because he wanted to really go over anything that could be causing my pain and give me a way to focus on fixing it. I love this place and this group of people. They are so friendly, and caring and compassionate. I'll never go anywhere else!! read more

My family and I had been patients of theirs for years. My husband had kept going to them for pain in his stomach. They kept giving him anti-acids and "bandaiding" the problem instead of getting to the core issue. My husband finally begged to find out what was wrong. Their reply was "you know that means they'll stick a tube down your throat." As if that was enough to scare him into ignoring his symptoms?? He said "if that's what it takes." He had been sent to the lab to scope his stomach. The results came back that he had cancer. One year to the month, he passed away. I had continued to be a patient of this clinic for seven years. Until one office visit, I was told not to come back. I wasn't given any sort of reason or explaination. What sort of clinic tells someone not to come back without telling them why?? I begged for a reason...got no reply. The ONLY explaination I can come up with: they were appeasing me until the statute of limitations ran out for malpractice. They failed to detect cancer in my husband sooner and thus, causing his untimely DEATH. IF you value your life and the life of your family...stay clear of this clinic. read more

I really like Mountainview Medical. My doctor is a nurse practitioner, Gabrielle Dorn. She started there about a year ago. I first started going here in 2018, when I moved here to go to the University. I did not like my first doctor as much--she was fine, but visits were really short and it felt like she was putting me on more medications than I should have been on. I think this clinic has made a big push over the past couple of years to hire PCPs and NPs who are focused on a combination of natural and traditional medicine, as well as really spending time with patients. It feels like a lot has changed here over the past two years. Now, I wouldn't trade my NP for anything! I have a lot of mental health issues and have been in and out of hospitals/outpatient programs this year, and she has been on top of everything. She is very educated in mental health and medicine, and very personable and conversational. Also, I can always get an appointment in just a couple of days. read more

The people in the ER prescribed me antibiotics for a minor secondary issue but didn't even find anything wrong with my primary pain issue. No one actually cared from the front desk guy to the doctor. When I point blank asked him what's wrong with me he diverted the answer to the unrelated secondary issue. They didn't even try to figure it out. That is NOT health care! I m new to Oregon and had to find a doctor for my meds and just normal check ups! So this Dr. Tom Gray is awesome. He just ROCKS! My first encounter With him as I stood at the height chart was interesting and him being oh 6'5 6'6 some where in there and my statue of 5'6 was funny. After our banter of height I walked with the nurse to my room she stated well that's one way to introduce yourself to your doctor. I laughed. And having him take time to just to get to know me and not just my health issues was very nice which I told my wife you have to get him as a doctor. He is the best doctor I ve had and he is really cool... thank you to Dr. Gray and all of the staff the lady in the front office we chatted while he was running behind which made things pleasant and just nice hence all the corona virus issues our world is enduring. Do NOT go to this clinic. Especially if you have MS and have been on one pain medicine for years and are stable but need a new primary care doctor. This clinic is discriminating against people in pain. Refuses to even make an appointment to see a doctor if you are taking any pain medicine. Don't walk, RUN from this place. I've had the same PCP for over 10 years...all they would have to do is pick up a phone and call and CONSULT with her and they would learn my treatments are medically necessary. Arbitrary policies like this are a total JOKE in the medical industry. These guys think they are god and have policies to match their inflated vision of themselves. Too many excellent doctors in Portland to waste time with these clowns. read more

This clinic is absolutely terrible. I have seen multiple doctors there and they have all been rude, and made me feel like I'm inconveniencing them. There is always a long wait in the rooms and they don't keep up with refilling prescriptions. One doctor, especially, has been very disrespectful, doesn't seem to care, and comes across very harsh. This office has been an extreme disappointment and even with something as simple as a prescription refill for long term medication, has proven to be a huge hassle and stressful process. Would NEVER recommend this place to anyone regardless of circumstances. read more

Doctors and their staff are supposed to CARE, they should excel at doing what they can to get you well again, I believe its an oath to this as well, not here though. My wife and I have had nothing but issues with them, avoid this place there are too many excellent doctors and staff in the area to waste time on a bad one like Mtn View. Its almost like they don't want to see patients, they are so bound by THEIR process. Oh, we can't see you for that as walk-in since we don't take walk-ins for that symptom... Oh, we can't let you see a different doctor without that doctor's permission, yes we know your primary doctor is not available at the time you need... Oh, you can't bring your child in since they haven't established a primary doctor here... Errr I guess we go elsewhere then? The killer as to all this is the office staff doesn't care and it boggles the mind when you sit there and they tell you this junk when the waiting room is empty. Don't go here find another doctor in Forest Grove or even Hillsboro trust me it's worth the 10 extra minutes, these people are terrible, NEVER AGAIN. read more

My daughter has suffered from back pain for a couple of years, after her Ped doc wasn't listening we decided to come to Mt View Medical. We were seen and I thought getting good care. My daughter started PT and after 7 months PT recommended an MRI. Which we had done. It took me asking for the result which I was finally given 11 days later in an email, which said "negative for tethered cord, the orthopedist should know more" WTF does that mean, so I asked and asked and asked, with ZERO response. Finally I went in to get the results of the MRI myself.....NOT NEGATIVE!!!! I followed up with a neurosurgeon only to find out my daughter has Spina Bifida. She has symptoms of tethered cord, but not serious enough at this time to do surgery. But still not negative and why ignore my requests for answers. Not only that, but I asked the office to send the info to the surgeon and the staff said doing it now (that was a Monday) the following Friday is when I got the call saying they actually did it. Seriously! And to add a layer of icing on the cake Alison who my daughter has been seeing, saw us at the local swimming pool. We exchanged eye contact and as a medical professional I know that, that is what is acceptable in public. No she made sure to speak loudly and say, "oh Hi I know you from Mt View Clinic, how is your back?" Neither my daughter or myself responded. My daughter was embarrassed and upset she would do that in front of others. This wasn't the only time this office has been so far from meeting our needs. One time I personally went in with a rash on my body, it appeared to be my typical eczema at its worst. Gary tried to tell me I had scabies, first of all there was ZERO chance of that and no one else had that in my family. He prescribed a horrible med to put on my body. I decided to follow up with Derm who said he was completely stupid. It was simply eczema. This office if full of incompetent individuals. The only one worth seeing is Erika. I would stay as far a way as possible from this clinic. We are desperately seeking a new Dr one that actually knows what they are doing! read more
