I went to Innate in You as a last chance before going to see a doctor and amazingly (I wasn't expecting it to work) the pain was gone by the time I left. Elisha spent most of the time on a muscle that she said was very tight and when she put pressure on it was very painful, but she released the tightness AND the pain after 30 or so minutes. I was able to go out the next day and walk a round of golf with no issue or pain. Elisha did a GREAT JOB!!!!!

This wonderful and relaxing chakra balancing with bowls and gongs was absolutely fabulous! Tanji prepared us for this by bringing us into alignment with our energies, relaxing and focusing only on breathing and our own flow of energy movement. One hour went quickly by as each of us had an individual experience with our own spiritual processes. Just magical and worth experiencing again and again.

Meditation, discussion, vegetarian food, walking in the woods and devotional chanting were all amazing. The whole gestalt of the retreat was wonderful. I got closer to my friends I drove up with and to the new people that I met. Refreshing and renewing weekend, thank you to all.

First problem was that you don't get the entire 90 minutes of massage. I thought it was weird that I was in my car leaving at the time of the end of the massage. I asked and she said I was all set, as she counts the time you undress/dress before and after the massage. Which I think should have been made clear. I also stepped in dog poop once when getting off the table. She did not apologize or give me a tissue. When I asked for certain areas to be worked on during the massage she would say yes, then look at the clock. She would wait until later in the session to work that area again for me. It wasn't fun since I was in pain and that's why I asked for more work in that area. So, I guess she likes to do cookie cut massage session instead of the what the client wants. Plan on lots of yawning from her (as it always felt like she would rather be anywhere else) and a very dirty room/bathroom. I'd be leery of mentioning that the room temperature isn't right for you, she screamed at me when I mentioned that I was hot. I should have left a long time ago, but I needed work in order to keep working. Next time I'll pay attention to the red flags better and realize it's better to drive farther for a friendly and customer service-oriented practitioner

I am relatively new to meditation and I thought I'd take a course/session at this center. It's the…read morefirst time I meditated with a group. The retreat/session I went to was called "Waking up to your Life". It was 2.5 hours long and cost $37. It was for beginners and newer students. The setting is beautiful and the people are really nice. We touched upon some powerful meditation methods such as walking meditation and the body scan. However, I think these things really require a much more in-depth approach. I felt we went through them kind of quickly and it was difficult to grasp the meaning and effectiveness of the exercises. If you ever have a chance you might want to read and listen to Jon Kabat-Zinn's "Living the Full Catastrophe". He goes into these practices with considerable detail. One thing I think is really important to mention is that if you are an absolute beginner I don't think this beginner course is right for you. We meditated silently for a considerable amount of time on a couple of occasions and I think this would be very frustrating for someone new. As a beginner I didn't leave the Insight Meditation Center session with an idea on how I could successfully create and maintain a meditation practice. There were no handouts and, although we were told there would be a Q&A session at the end of our meeting, there wasn't time for the class to ask any questions. It is such a nice center and the people were very pleasant. I may visit the website again to check for other offerings.

Before attending, she was loving, connected, and in close contact with our family. After the retreat, there was an immediate and complete cutoff in communication with all of us--something entirely out of character and deeply painful. The staff were kind when I reached out, and I respect that many benefit from this practice. However, I don't believe there is enough awareness about how intense 10 days of silence and deep introspection can be, especially for someone already going through major life changes. When such a drastic shift happens so suddenly, it raises real concerns about vulnerability, influence, and lack of support during reintegration. Families should be aware and prepared for possible unexpected changes. If my daughter ever reads this: you are loved, missed, and always welcome back

It was wonderful... And thankfully previous students had clean very well, and the place was spotless. I will go back and serve on a course... Try and get the time to go and do this.
