A consideration is that rice naturally pulls an usually high amount of lead, compared to most plants, out of the soil. Rice hulls are the second of 15 listed ingredient in the description of their The Grower's Choice Elite; this means, as I understand it, that one is raising the level of heavy metals in one's garden, and, thus, one's food grown in it. I must state that I had used Wes Green's soil in past years, and Powell's has been far, far superior to that poor alternative. Since then, I hear Wes Green has sold his soil business, so cannot speak to it for 2023 and forward.

Those two gentlemen saved us literally thousands of dollars and possibly a delay of our construction!
