I took my pup here over a year ago because the amazing Lake Harbin vet office had closed down. I was preparing to take my dog for training so I came here to get some of the required vaccinations for him. He had a behavioral issue where he likes to bark at other dogs nonstop for attention. He is not aggressive, but I can understand why people see that. While the other patients/customers were fine and laughing, you could tell that the receptionist was clearly annoyed. The weird vet who dressed like he's about to go on vacation to Hawaii was passive-aggressive the entire time he was examining my dog. My old vet would do complimentary nail trimming every visit. Nothing is complimentary here. My dog was neutered, received several injections, etc at Lake Harbin Animal Hospital, and he was still so happy to be there. While we were at this place, I had never seen him more terrified. While my dog is more well-behaved, I would never take him back here based on our experience. You can tell whoever opened this place care more about money than actually taking care of the animals. read more

They killed my Cat and tried to cover it up! I want everyone to know what kind of people work at this place.. From the staff all the way to the Veterinarian. There no way my cat was alive we they handed her to me in her cage. It take at least 3 hours for Rigger to set in . When i got hm to let my cat out of her cage she was already cold and stiff as a board. read more

took a stray cat for her vaccinations, was charged more than other places. but that's not even the worst part- the vet tech said that my cat was 8 months and possibly pregnant, so i took her to get fixed a week after, and apparently she's already been fixed! Ok so this is my second time bringing my dog here. The first time everything went smoothly. They said he was a good dog and that there was no issues. This time I wasn't so lucky. As soon as I walked in the lady was saying that my dog was out of control and that I couldn't bring him back so I go to get my dog out the kennel and as I walk around the corner I catch an employee spraying my dog in the face with the water hose on full blast. There excuse was he wasn't coming out of the kennel so they had to spray the poop with him in it. How are you spraying poop with the water nozzle in my dogs face? Obviously the dog is having some kind of anxiety issue if he won't eat or come out the cage and this is how you choose to respond? I'm complete outraged. read more

I reached Out to this veterinary Hospital thinking that I would get results due to my cats very visual facial symptoms he was going through. It kept progressing and we had to get professional help. Our other cat never showed any of the symptoms which left us no choice but to seek a veterinarian. We recieved injections for cats so called detiorating condition with no real positive results. I feel we should of been shown more concern by the vet for our pet with realistic treatment options so our pet never suffered. Never was this presented to us and for this reason I feel I failed our cat. He past away in his own and I am having a difficult time accepting it due to the fact I feel I could of done more. read more

We were looking for a place near us to board our Terrier. This place does not look like much from the outside and the location, well, it is Jonesboro. However, I must say the vets here are extremely nice and go out of their way. We boarded our dog here three times and the price is very reasonable. I would definitely recommend them. If you are looking for an animal hospital for emergencies/walk-ins, DO NOT COME HERE! They may care more when you're a long-time customer, but not for new customers. Our dog was not eating and had lost a significant amount of weight within a week, despite trying different methods of getting her to eat (different bowl, different dry food, wet food, using chicken broth/stock, etc). The vet, very nonchalantly, just looked at her and said, "Oh it just looks like she's not eating. Try mixing chicken broth with her food to get her interested." He also insisted that the blood work would not be done very quickly because of the upcoming holidays (a WEEK prior to Christmas), but we opted to get it done anyhow and decided to wait for the results. Before leaving, they definitely did not mind charging for a nail trim on her front paws on top of $400 for the blood work. About six days later, we still had not heard back on the results so we called them. They said it was not ready, but they would call us back later that day. Not ready, or did they not even bother to review the lab work and call us in the first place??? By then, she had become lethargic and we were extremely worried, so we took her to Eagle's Landing Veterinary Hospital instead. On our way there, FPAH called and said some of her levels were extremely high and she would need to be taken care of right away. Well, we were almost to another vet anyway, so they texted us the lab work results. TLDR: Don't take your pet here. They don't care for you and try to get out of doing the work they're paid to do. We found out that Eagle's Landing uses the same lab to do their tests and they get their results within a day or two. Getting the results sooner could have SAVED HER LIFE! (We had to put her down...) read more

Do not go to this place I went on 8/7/2020 just to take my dogs to get some flea medication and one allergy shot before arriving I called to ask for the prices which was reasonable so I arrived at the location where we already agreed to be charged only $80 for my two dogs medications with one shot for allergies as soon as my two dogs got their medication I gave my card to one of the ladies that work there as I said we agreed that it was $25 for the pill and $30 for the shot so it comes to total $80 I gave her my card to go charge and then I get a notification on my phone saying that I've been charged $105 I asked the lady why was my card charged 105 and she says because the doctor is charging for a brief visit the vet never did anything or saw my dog like that it was really less than 10 minutes that my dog came back out who knows if they even really receive their shot either she charged my card with out consent for 105$ she just charged my card without asking me or telling me that she's going to charge my card extra she charge me an extra $25 this is the most rudest thing that you could've do and the most unprofessional thing that you could do to someone this is called THEFT you do not charge someone's card without consulting that they are being charged something else. Will never come back here again I don't recommend this place if u do pay cash only !!! read more

I took my dog to this kennel because my regular kennel was closed.. and I was going out of town on an emergency I should have turn around and left the place because it was dirty and nasty. While I was trying to check my dog in, this fat lady came in with a fat cat. The cat was everywhere, jumping up on the counter while I was signing papers. The lady behind the counter was rude, because I had a problem with a cat laying in front of me while I was trying to sign my paperwork. My dog was there for 6 days and she became extremely sick. She did not eat while she was there and once my daughter went to pick her up, we have to take her to the doctor for meds. Her regular dr. said they could have given her the same meds. My dog has placed in a kennel before, and never was sick. Also, I have never had a kennel to want payment up front. read more

My husband and I always go here for our dogs for vaccinations and boarding. The staff is amazing and very friendly. We feel very confident leaving our 3 dogs in their care. We used to live close by when we first moved to Georgia but recently moved to Sandy Springs, the drive is a bit longer now but Dr. Atkins and his team are irreplaceable. read more
