I love that he has individual play with the owner, open run, and no group play. We adopted him a little over a year and his temperament with other dogs can vary. I had boarded my dogs here without incident a few times, but this last visit, events happened that I cannot ignore or use this business ever again in the future. We left for a week out of the country. I made reservations via their website as requested in January for a July 4-10th visit. Marc had expressed to my husband to call when we got back in (our flight landed at 5:40pm) and he could stay a little late so we could get the dogs because they know we miss them. Great right? Well when we got home- this story took a horrible turn. All the sudden it is a huge issue-we raced to get there as he was closed and walking back to his home. He walked with obvious attitude-the dogs were barking and he angrily told them to "shut up". He charged me for an extra night because he was mad at us. The dogs stayed 7 nights and not 8. That is $47 he did not earn. I was visibly in tears because I had traveled for 12 hours and rushed to see my dogs. He didn't care in the least. Also, ALL my dogs food I had brought (BLUE dog food moist) was in the bag-what did they feed my dogs? They were starving and had visibly lost weight. I did give this merchant a chance to rectify this situation and they told me that I never had a reservation (even though I have two emails to the contrary) and that they moved around pets to accommodate mine! Also, that I had agreed to give my dogs dry food because that was better for them, per their suggestion! WHAT!? I would never do this because I have tried many times to feed my dogs dry and they refuse to eat it-they starve. Then that they had to cancel their plans because I spent 5 minutes picking up my dogs? (They had told me they were staying open later to accommodate a drop off from another customer ) I can reasonably work out a disagreement but when you have business owners that think it is their way or the highway and make up stories and claim I agreed to something when I didn't, that is unethical. Also, to charge me because they are angry at me? I cannot change the airport and how long they take. To me they stole money from me-they did not earn it. My dogs are like my children and if they are not treated right then I have to let everyone know about it. read more

After bouncing around a few kennels over the years, we take our three pups to Petport only now. It is an easy drive from downtown Atlanta, just straight out Lakewood Freeway. Mark and Nancy are so good with our three spastic dogs, and we have never had any issues there. Our pups come home tired, that's about it! We board a 70 lb pit/boxer mix, a 40 lb beagle spaz and a 10 lb shih tzu. They are so easy to deal with, are easy to schedule via email or phone, and a pleasure to do business with. I have recommended them to many of our friends with pups. Great couple, great work! read more

Marc was so flexible and so easy to work with. I am grateful that he was able to accommodate our brood at such short notice. The areas for each dog was quite roomy. Even my 85 lb shepherd pup (who isn't too friendly) had plenty of room to run around. Marc was very knowledgeable about resources within the community for dog owners. This place is amazing!!! Kyle does SUCH a great job with my dogs. He is caring and pays attention to EVERY detail. He always asks questions and takes notes to ensure that the dogs get the best care. He works wonders with my more difficult dog and is incredibly accommodating to my senior dog with cushings. I always feel so comfortable dropping my dogs off because of know that Kyle will treat them like his own. I HIGHLY recommend this place for any boarding. I know I already left a review, but needed to leave another! We left our three girls for an extended stay and worried how they would do. They had so much fun and were so happy when we picked them up. I have been going to Petport for a couple of years now and would never go anywhere else. Marc has been great with my dogs and they always come home happy and tired (which for me, after coming home from traveling makes it that much better). They have been great to work with, scheduling and otherwise, and they are surprisingly close to the city so it makes for an easy commute. I have recommended them to several friends, have a neighbor who also uses them, and found out that a woman I work with has been using them for a while too and everyone says the same thing: all around great place! read more

I have been using this kennel for about 10 years. It is always my first choice when I need to board the critters. I think the dogs actually enjoy going there (makes it easier on me...we all get a vacation). it is a very good set-up, with each kennel space having an indoor run and outdoor space. In addition, there is a fenced in area where the dogs can run around together and/or go potty. Marc and Nancy seem genuinely concerned and caring for the dogs. I am VERY particular about my animals, and I think they are treated as well here (if not better) than I treat them myself. read more

I love Petport! My family and our dog China just moved her from Tianjin China. Petport made this a smooth transition for our pet and my family! China had to come to the States one month before us and stayed at Petport the entire time. They treated her as if she was there own pet! We could tell how happy she was in the pic's they would email us! China also learned some very good behavior skills while staying with them.
