I'm leaving a review so others hopefully won't experience the disappointment of forever doors in Morganville NJ. In the beginning the door looked great. In just a short period of time the door started to fail. Fading finish, chipping/bubling finish and rusting to name a few problems. When I reached out I originally wanted a new door but after months of waiting was told that forever doors no longer uses the same manufacturer and they were going to have to pay for a new door out of thier pocket which they weren't going to do. I was offered an independent contractor to come out and refinish the existing door which I agreed upon and if the refinishing didn't hold up a new door would be expected. I was given two dates for the refinishing work. Both dates did not work with our schedule as no one would be home. I commicated that the dates wouldn't work and never heard back k. When I reached out again 11 days later to the owner Frank his response was "Good Morning Adam I scheduled the guy to paint your door twice and you cancelled on him. He's Not easy to get out there. Now you're texting what going on with the door ? You tell me........" Somehow a poor quality door at a not so poor quality price is now my problem. In March 2025, my husband and I placed an order with Forever Iron Door for approximately 20 iron elements, including doors, windows, and an aluminum 12-foot slider. We dealt directly with the owner, Barry, who came to take measurements, which initially gave us confidence. Unfortunately, our experience with fulfillment and installation was very disappointing: * The workmanship was poor, and flooring was damaged during installation. * There were mistakes with jamb sizes (4-inch vs. 6-inch), which caused improper fitting and required additional drilling. As a result, the doors don't operate as they should, and the side windows cannot open fully. * To fix errors, we incurred extra costs in stucco trims and masonry work. * Interior doors were fabricated more like exterior doors, which was not what we expected and had to be altered and it still is wrong. * The 12-foot slider was not delivered with the rest of the order, leaving a large opening on the second floor of our home for almost 8 months. Despite many follow-ups, we never received clear answers on when it would arrive and suspect it was never ordered. * Some iron bedroom windows were not made to egress code. We were told we had approved the drawings, but in the end, these windows and the slider were never delivered. As a contractor with the plans he should have known building code compliance. * We were promised production updates and photos but did not receive them. * The installation overall was very poorly executed. What started as a project we were excited about turned into months of stress, delays, unexpected costs, and unfinished work. While Barry and his staff were responsive at the ordering stage, we did not receive the level of professionalism, communication, or quality we were promised. Based on our experience, I would never ever recommend Forever Iron Door. Once Barry got the 80% of the contract price from us and didn't account for the 12 ft door and egress windows, he chose to step away from the entire project with the majority of our money. Furthermore to top things off, we received papers today that he put a lien on our property since August 23th for goods we never received and services never rendered. We were bullied into giving him 80% of the total contract money before completion but we made the payment in good faith with the hopes he would complete the project as planned. That did not happen and he took complete advantage of seniors and good people. The keys for the multiple exterior doors were never handed to us and found scattered all around a construction site . What a nightmare and the delays resulted in astronomical expenses. This is not an accredited BBB operation and steer clear from this aggravation at a very hefty price. read more

I placed an order for $13,550 with "Forever Iron Doors" for doors and stair rails on April 27, 2021. Until today, the merchant has never produced any product and I believe the merchant never will. On May 26th, I received a phone call from a new employee asking me to come in and submit my credit card authorization, and was immediately charged $6,775 (50% deposit). After the charge, I never heard back from the company without reaching out to them first. When I called about a month later (June 26th) to inquire about the delivery date, the employee I was dealing with (Nicole), unexpectedly quit. I was told (by Laura) that there would be a delay and my doors would not be delivered until October. I have written correspondence via email where I asked if there was any way I could get it earlier and the owner of the business, Barry Kaufman, responded: "let me work on it". I never heard from him again concerning any date. I reached out to the company endless times via phone and text and keep getting told "it's coming soon" but I would never get an actual delivery date. Despite leaving numerous messages, no one from the company ever calls back. Every time I call, there is a new employee -- the latest was a young lady named Chantay who responded to my inquiry on November 2nd and finally received a response she informed me the "new" delivery date was January 19th, 2022. When that date arrived, I called and was told that it was coming in a few more weeks. I subsequently called every week until February 14 when I learned from Bruni that my order was "not available". It turns out the order never arrived from China. Despite many pleas to Barry to just "tell me when", I have never heard back from him. It has now been a year and I still do not have any products. I'm pretty confident my order was lost in the shuffle of exiting/entering employees and that I will never get my deposit back OR my doors. Unfortunately, I am now taking this to court. I hope this review helps someone prevent the same mistake I made in trusting this merchant. *He is now suing me for posting the truth about his business and says he won't deliver the doors until I remove this review! Our doors were just installed today and they are beautiful. Daniel and his partner did the installation and did a great job! They were clean competent and made sure we were happy with everything before they left. The doors are solid and installation was expert. Barry was good to work with early in the process. Things that could have been better; The delivery did take longer than the originally promised 16-20 weeks. It ended up being 7 months due to supply chain issues. I would say the place there is definitely room for improvement is communication with the customer. Because the wait is so long, and we paid 50 percent up front, and there are some negative reviews out there, it would have been reassuring to have a phone call or email checking at 16 and 20 weeks updating us on where our door was in the process. Even if not good news it would be good to let us know the door is manufactured, just shipped, shipping, 4 week delay, 8 week delay etc. However, when we did call we always got a friendly update. Got our iron installed last Friday and was very happy that we went with Forever custom iron door. Daniel and his helper did a great and clean job. They were vacuuming every step of the install so when they were done, clean up was an ease. They were very careful when removing the old door and no repairs were needed when the new iron door was installed. Very clean and professional install. It's a pretty serious problem when you fail at all three. FAST???? Not Fast waited 8 months to get a door I was sold and promised to receive in 3. CHEAP???? Definitely costs a lot of money for mass produced Chinese craftsmanship. GOOD??? Is it good when after 8 months of waiting for this door you get the wrong style, and the wrong color? If I could give a ten-star review I would. We had three doors and two transoms installed this past week. Julia did a phenomenal design matching our existing railings which are from Italy. She was an absolute pleasure to deal with and had the patience of a saint. Chantay is extremely knowledgeable about the products they offer for sale and was very informative concerning our project needs. She was great. When our doors were installed it took two full days and went very smoothly. Fabian the lead mechanic is a perfectionist. His crew works closely with him and together they did a magnificent job. I ordered front doors over the summer. They are all custom designed so it does take time to get the doors but the quality and beauty of the doors is unmatched. Because I ordered during the pandemic my wait was longer than initially quoted but I can say now that the doors are installed it was worth the wait. The installers were quick, professional and removed and installed the new doors with little mess. The prices are very great for the quality and uniqueness of the product. I will definitely go to back to them when I do my side door next year. The only reason I did not give 5 stars is the communication about the delivery delays was not great. Please do your favor, order those Chinese manufactured doors somewhere else. Horrible company, owner and customer service. Ordered door, door came in different color (ordered aged gold, got aged copper) with different color accents (ordered with gold, got copper color). Plus, ordered with 1" high threshold (to be able to put entrance rug), got 1/4", so there are no rugs with such low pile. Nobody even apologize that they messed up the colors, they offered to hand paint the door with no additional warranty if it will pill off. With messed up threshold height, I can't put any rug on the entrance. They are so quick to take your payment with pile of signed papers (you are signing papers that you are liable for everything even their mistake), but they will not delivering the product that you ordered. Paid in full on time of order, but they still calling (including owner) about remaining balance of 50%. So, they didn't even bother themselves to check balance (if any). We recently replaced our front doors - after doing a great deal of research on iron door companies, Barry with Forever Iron Doors proved to be far superior to any of the other companies that I spoke with. He was VERY responsive (I had to communicate primarily via email and he responded within minutes most of the time), answered all of my questions, provided valuable feedback, and was extremely helpful, start to finish. The quality of the doors is amazing - they are very heavy, open and close beautifully, and offer really unique features (my favorite being the fact that the glass opens independently from the door itself, allowing for a screen insert - creating what must be the world's most beautiful screen door). The hinges, hardware, and glass are all incredible. His installer was amazing, and did a fantastic job taking out my old doors, installing the new, fixing the trim, etc. He went above and beyond to custom cut a piece of oak flooring for the interior threshold, so that the new threshold blends into our interior floors seamlessly. After installation, Barry reached out again to confirm that we were satisfied with both the doors and the installation. Having undergone extensive renovations in our home, I can say with confidence that Forever Custom Iron Doors is a rare find - excellent craftsmanship, excellent customer service, and fair pricing.
