I was referred to Sonja by my attorney after being in a car wreck and hurting my back this past summer of 2021. I received treatment for about 7+ months. Let me tell you that it made a huge difference. She got my pain level down significantly, gave me a lot of excellent advice, was very compassionate and understanding. She will listen to you and get to the root of your problem while helping you heal naturally without prescriptions. I've been going to Houston Healing Chiropractic in downtown Houston for physical therapy, and my…read moreexperience has been disappointing due to ongoing inconsistencies in how patients are handled. On several visits, I arrived on time for my scheduled appointment, checked in, and still watched multiple people who came in after me get taken to the back first. At first, I assumed it was just a one-time scheduling issue, but it has happened repeatedly. What's more concerning is the noticeable difference in how certain patients are greeted and attended to. Some individuals seem to receive a much warmer welcome and quicker service, while others are left waiting without any clear explanation. As a patient, that raises concerns about fairness and professionalism. It's also been extremely inconvenient to spend time and gas getting to my appointment, only to end up waiting 30 minutes or more and sometimes having to leave without being seen. That's not acceptable for anyone with a scheduled appointment. Additionally, I've had concerns about the quality of care--there have been instances where I was not properly set up on the machines, which makes me question whether I'm even receiving the correct treatment. I understand that clinics can get busy and that different therapists may have different schedules, but when this pattern continues without transparency, it becomes frustrating and concerning. I hope management takes the time to review scheduling practices, staff interactions, and patient care standards. Every patient deserves equal treatment, proper care, clear communication, and respect.

So ...made an appointment to have my back checked out and ended up here. The place is in a decent…read morelocation in the medical center area of The Woodlands. That said , it is located in an office that apparently operates like a mill. Did not make me feel comfortable at all in this age of Covid to have so many people running around in the tiny space they occupy filled with people getting glorified massages unmasked. Not to mention the treatments themselves which I'll cover. The treatment I got was almost laughable after spending about 5 minutes with the chiropractor. She proceeded to tell me that She was also an acupuncturist . From there she placed me with a " therapist " who placed an ice cold set of gel packs on my lower back and proceeded to hook me to an electric impulse machine which did absolutely nothing. From there , after about 5 minutes I was moved over like a cattle in a cattle car brigade behind a few peeps to do an adjustment. The adjustment was done within one minute of another " customer " and I didn't witness any cleaning , just a rolling of tissue covering. This chiropractor then proceeded to give me the worst back massage for about 60 seconds and highlighted it with " cracking my neck " without asking if she could do that. Many people have suffered strokes from that type "adjustment ". All in all the treatment lasted 2 minutes and was done on a table that had some sort of Wrestlemania contraption built in so that the patient hears when a little push occurs , which is all for show and effect. She rescheduled me for another visit and I took it just to see . Three days later I was put through the same mill only this time the adjustment lasted about 60 seconds and was a joke. She barely touched my back and exerted almost no pressure. It was a ripoff. I'll never go back and I suspect this is a mill foe your typical chiropractic scamming. Avoid. They're horrible.

I recently had an appointment at Dannenfelser Chiropractic…read morein Kingwood. They do NOT follow the recommended CDC guidelines. Mask wearing is not required by staff or patients. I inquired about the lack of mask usage, and was basically told that they didn't feel they provided any value or protection. Upon voicing my concerns Dr. Brian Dannenfelser offered to wear a mask, and have the rest of the staff wear mask, to make me more comfortable. I do NOT recommend this business, based solely on the total disregard for adherence to recommendations from health professionals.
