The Wildwood Antique Mall of Lakeland is part of the Wildwood Antique Mall chain. Wildwood Antique Mall claims to be one of the largest antique dealers in Florida. It was started in 2011, when 77-year-old Manny Pesco took his last $4,000 from his former auction business that had closed because of the 2008 recession and invested the money into the first Wildwood Antique Mall that took its name from the intersection it is located on. Other locations opened in Eustis, Vero Beach, and Titusville opened in the intervening years and the investment turned out to be a good one since all of the locations do around 5 million dollars annually. What makes this antique mall different from the other stores in the chain is the abundance of merchandise available from the theme parks. I found booths for both Universal and Disney items. The fun starts when you walk in the door and there is a carriage from Disney's Port Orleans resort out front and you are greeted by a velociraptor straight out of Universal Studios just inside the door. Wildwood Antique Mall of Lakeland has all of the typical booths of antiques you would expect to find but my favorite booths were the ones filled with Disney and Universal Studios merchandise. Recycling the Magic had a Splash Mountain log flume car, Vault Collectibles sells Disney and Universal studios props, and Melly's Remarket sells Disney art. My favorite booth was the Jurassic World Tribute store in the back of mall with a ton of Universal Studio items. They had an extensive horror collection and many other one of a kind items. I especially loved all of the Haunted Mansion items I found throughout the mall. If you are a theme park fan like me this is a must stop if you are in Lakeland. Prices for the real collectibles were more than I could afford but I found a Haunted Mansion Loungefly for only $25. There is something for everyone. Allow a few hours for a visit because this antique mall feels never ending. I could have easily spent all day here.

Across two floors and over 1,000 square feet of space they have the most amazing antiques and treasures. Sherman's Antiques has been in business for over 25 years selling their own items and leasing space to other vendors. They also do estate sales and offer a doll hospital, restoring treasured dolls from the past. I couldn't believe they actually have a basement which is something you hardly ever see in Florida where the water table is so close to the surface. I had so much fun exploring their furniture, housewares, glassware, clothes, art, jewelry, holiday decorations, collectibles, and so much more. I especially loved the vintage casserole dishes. Prices ranged from a few dollars to the many thousands. How negotiable they are depends on it it belongs to them or a vendor. On the way out I spoke to the friendly owners about their marvelous collection. It is a curated history of the 20th century. If you love antiques the way I do, add this to your Winter Haven shopping list.

There are several rooms full, absolutely stocked full of goodies, and it does not look that roomy on the outside of the store. It is just a short walk to the historic Dundee depot museum. After being cheerfully greeted I was left to explore. As I looked around I was impressed with the artful arrangement and staging of furniture, art, and household goods throughout several rooms. Some of my favorite finds were the many vintage Christmas decorations, especially the sweet deer, beautiful furniture, a wreath made out of succulents and flower pots, and the adorable rabbit ornaments that adorned a tree. Prices ranged from just a few dollars to many hundreds. There is so much to see here that brings back memories. Find a one of a kind gift or that perfect piece to finish a room.

The shop is laid out very attractively like a country store or someone's front room. Think Cracker Barrel but real antiques. A mantle clock caught my eye and I found that it had belonged to the owner. It is a beautiful Howard Miller clock that chimes. I picked it up for a very reasonable price and did not even try to negotiate. She asked me if I had heard it chime and I said no. Well I put in the car and took off for home. I was thinking about the road and stuff I needed to get done. Well that clock started chiming and was very LOUD in my little car. I almost ran off the road because I was so startled. Haha I am definitely going back to this store. I love their aesthetic and the owners were very friendly and nice. I have my eyes on additional antiques and I love a deal.
