I purchased my Toyota forklift from Brian many years ago and he has always provided good pricing and prompt on service calls. If you need to make a purchase or need service, call Brian and he will take good care of you.

But never have I ever dealt with a person more incompetent and shady than Bill - the owner of BJ's Forklift Services. Our initial encounter was having him come out to our warehouse to service our forklift which he did and was generously compensated for. Then he stated that in order to fix the second unit, he needs to order parts for it. After weeks of going back and forth and not returning, he told us that he can't find the parts and is walking away from the job. What a professional service, huh? I should have walked way from him then but he offered to sell us a unit instead which I agreed to. I liked the forklift he was offering to us. I drove to his office which is not close and personally looked at the unit and offered to buy it. Bill and I shook hands on it which I realize doesn't mean much to him. I offered to pay half up front and half at delivery. I asked him if I can Zelle him to which he replied that he does't know how to use Zelle and needs his wife to do it. So I agreed to wait for his wife to set it up and let me know when I can pay him. For WEEKS, I kept following up with him asking him to pay him so I schedule the pick up of the forklift. I also asked to add a battery charger for another $1,000 (which should come with the forklift but apparently not when you buy from Bill). Finally, after another follow-up to see if I can pay him and pick up the forklift, he told me he sold it to someone else and said "sorry." Apparently, "sorry" is all a grown man has to say to you after he agrees to sell you the forklift and shakes your hand on it. I call this a sleazy and shady technique to fool one buyer all while securing another buyer for a higher profit sale. It is not only unethical but is also pathetic. He is lucky I didn't report him to BBB for unethical business practices. So yes, stay away from this place.

So Google to the rescue ,and calling R & J was the best decision we made. Should have done it in the first place! Jim was extremely helpful and knowledgeable. Not only did he know exactly what we needed, ( the national guys were clueless) he made several phone calls to get the item shipped within 3 days. Unbelievable!! Jim also made a follow up call with the shipping info, and also called us after delivery. Businesses like this is why the little guys in local business have to stick together. Royce immediately gave me a very good purchase price, but I had wanted some refurbishment work accomplished before taking delivery. He went above and beyond by providing me with a loaner forklift while the refurbishment work was being performed, the loaner also being a high quality Toyota. In due course Royce and Gus transformed the beat up looking unit I purchased into a show piece; not only are the mechanical components operating flawlessly, but the aesthetics are factory fresh. Within 48 hours of delivery Gus came back down to perform a shakedown of the unit and check all of the fluids. Inland Empire Lift takes substantial pride in their work, their customer service is without equal, and the entire process was seamless and easy.
