Another great massage with Rissa today! This was my third one, and I have noticeable improvement in movement and blood flow. I have the two-hour, full-body massage, and it is wonderful! Rissa is very intuitive about just where I can use extra pressure, and before she applies it, she checks in with me to see if it's OK. She also checks in periodically to see how I'm doing and if anything hurts. As I tell her, it doesn't tickle, but I can take the extra pressure because I am feeling the results. In addition to Rissa's great skills, the environment is quite soothing, with relaxing music and low lighting. Cleanliness is important to me, and I have to say, the place is spotless! I've been seeing Katie several months now for recurrent neck pain and she has been wonderful. I did 30 minute appointments at first, then went to an hour because it was so helpful to my overall wellness and improved state of mind. I've seen other massage therapists for the same problem, but I find Katie to be much more comprehensive in her treatment, that is, focusing not only on where my specific neck pain is, but working on other areas that may contribute to my pain such as my head and shoulder areas. Using heat and pressure, she locates the numerous kinks and knots in my upper torso and one by one helps them to settle down. I'm sure Katie can do it all, but her specialty is working with people who have intractable pain and stiffness in their neck and lower back. I have gotten to know her a little on a personal level. She has a huge heart and an innate kindness that again, I've not experienced with other therapists. I would describe her not just as a massage therapist but a care giver. I had never gotten a massage before, I booked a 2 hour massage with Rissa, I had chronic back pain for 3 years after slipping a disk. The massage therapist I had was super nice, but it's frustrating that I booked a deep tissue massage, and this was literally the softest massage I've ever received. I asked the massage therapist if he could increase the pressure 5 times, and he was really nice but was not able to go much deeper than a gentle rub. He started with a quick consultantion of what I was looking for and then began using a mix of deep tissue, minimal stretching, and surface movement to target then. I chose this place because it was really easy to book an appointment (online booking + great availability), and will continue going back because of the great massages I've gotten! I typically like deep tissue, and pressure from both therapists I've gone to was perfect. Note, they're a little different than other places--you can do either neck and shoulders OR legs and lower back in one 60-minute massage. To do full-body, you have to book 90 minutes. But, considering I hold most of my tension in the neck and shoulders, having a full 60 minutes dedicated to it was perfect. I've also been very pleased with their cleaning and distancing policies. The front door is locked until they're ready for your appointment, and the therapist regularly washes their hands and keeps the mask on during the session. read more

Kenia is an indescribable talent. I have had massages all my life, and she is is more of a body mechanic wizard. Excellent communication, I was able to book online, and they had a spot open the next day, And text updates to remind me of the time. Very good web UX, and choices. I had a serious kink in my neck I had been battling for a few days and finally after not being able to rotate my head fully to the left and having enough added pressure on some part of my body that resulted in an ever present headache, I decided to go have it kneaded out. This massage joint was walkable from my apt, had an appointment available within an hour of when I was looking on a Thursday morning, and offered $5 off when you check-in on Yelp. I arrived, filled out some paperwork, and Ryhs took me back to the massage room. I told him my specific areas of concern and he went to town on them. Focused on the places on my back and neck that could use the added attention. I appreciate a heavy hand when it comes to massage, so even though I winced, I loved every minute of it. I only did a 30-minute massage, which was all I really needed and I'm glad they offer that increment of time. She has superb knowledge of trigger point therapy & anatomy overall, addressed all my concerns and made sure the massage bed was comfy and warm for my appointment. Great conversation, excellent pressure where needed and I walked out with ZERO pain & pretty much instant increased range of motion. COVID precautions were on point - checked temps, surfaces were cleaned and masks in place. Making the appointment online was crazy easy. I wanted to make sure that my friend and I could get services at the same time, so I called to leave a message and 2 seconds after I hung up, I received a text message and email with updated appointment times for BOTH of us. AND to top it off, Melissa(the owner) came in on her off day to ensure that our services ended at the same time. Now THAT'S service. The massage I received was decent, not the best and not the worst. The woman working there was accommodating as I was 15 minutes late due to bumper to bumper traffic. I will give them a nod for accommodating me with that. This place is super close to the main highway downtown. I'm really surprised I did not see any air filters in the reception or massage rooms. I feel bad for the people that have to work there day in and day out, because of indoor air pollution. You guys need to add air filters to all of the rooms, there is no excuse.
