Incredible pizzas both regular and gluten free. Truly wonderful flavor and presentation. Fresh ingredients. Yummy gluten free crust. My father got the thin crust and was delighted. My husband and son got the deep dish and loved it. If you're extra hungry, I also recommend the nachos. Such an inspired idea for a pizza place to offer nachos. Try them. You'll love them. The deep dish is amazing and we crave it regularly. May seem pricey but it is totally worth it and you cannot eat as much as you think. Wish they delivered to the NW as pick up isnt always doable for us but there is only the one location. Maybe add a West location in the future?! Just a thought. read more

Really disappointed with their pizza. I had high expectations after loving their deep dish. Their pizza is garbage I ordered their 2x large pizzas. Bacon was burnt. Very little to no sauce. And the cheese wasn't browned up. What a disgrace!! I can't believe they charge so much for so little. I have had frozen pizzas that taste better. Don't order their pizza. It's subpar at best. This will be my new go-to pizza place in London! As far as I'm aware, they're the only pizzeria in the city that does true deep dish, and they do it well. The pizza box felt like it had a 5 pound brick inside it as I carried it away. The pie itself was stuffed with fresh ingredients, and of course.....the cheese. Cheese make or breaks a pizza, and Formaggio's uses that good quality cheese that has both great flavour and a slightly thicker texture. If you're bacon and cheese lover and don't care about calories? Order the deep dish. It's Best deep dish pizza I have ever had. I normally can eat half a pizza to myself from other pizza shacks." BUT" I could barely finish 1 slice of formaggio's. I almost gave it 4 stars because It's a bit pricey for me to order it all the time as my go to pizza place, but they put what seems to be almost 2 full blocks of cheese on 1 pizza.That's why I still give it a 5 star rating. The cheese is like 1 inch thick. It's the most cheese I have ever seen on 1 pizza. The toppings are loaded to the point of the pizza exploding . They use full strips of bacon. But OMG. the cheese! I just can't get over how much cheese there was. Put it this way you can eat this pizza upside down and the cheese acts like a crust. Keep in mind the pizza weighs 5 pounds so they have to cook it well, or it would stay raw and fall apart. But it was not burnt like a few others have erroneously suggested. I payed about 35 bucks but fed 3 people for 2 days . It's worth it. They probably use 25$ worth of toppings. Not to mention the prep and cook time. I will have to try their regular pizza next but if you're a first timer go for the deep dish! You won't be disappointed. read more

The service was amazing. I placed a large order the day before and the food was delivered on time the next day. The people helping me on the phone were amazing. We ordered 3 deep dish pizzas, nachos and garlic bread. The deep dish pizzas were ok. There was a ton of cheese which I found overwhelmed the rest of the toppings. I had a hard time differentiating between the three different types of pizza as the cheese was overwhelming. If you love cheese, you will love the pizzas. The garlic bread was excellent but the nachos were so so. My dad ordered the deep dish pizza with pepperoni, bacon and mushroom. We asked to cook once with out cheese and again with the cheese. It helps the meat cook better because this thing weighs 3 or 5lb (depending on size). After just two slices we were both full and we can eat. I have only had a true deep dish pizza 3 times, little ceasers doesn't count as it's all dough and it was by far the best. First off, I didn't bother taking a picture as it would be like the same as the others. We order the deep dish pizza. You get to have three additional toppings on top of the vast amount of cheese they pile on. This pizza is for serious cheese lovers only as it seriously has about 1/4-1/2 inch layer of cheese on top. It's a great variation to the typical pizza but I'm not sure if it's mostly due to the cheese. The pizza I'm still on the fence about. I'd say it was a basic sauce but want well together with the pizza pie as a whole. It would be interesting to taste the sauce on their regular pizza. That being said, there 'normal' pizza don't come cheap either which makes me hope they are good as well. Overall, I would consider ordering this pizza again; however, I will only order a medium as having more then two slices is too much at one time. I would even just consider having one slice of this pizza and another regular pizza on the side just for variation. A warning to all, this pizza is very filling as well!!! read more

Our very first order from here was panzerotti. We normally ask for extra cheese in our panzerotti, but didn't here because everyone raged about how much cheese they use! When we got it, there wasn't any cheese that we could tell. We opened it up and put our own cheese in it. But had to microwave it. It wasn't the same! We ordered again tonight and asked for extra cheese. Good thing we did! This time there was only a little bit of cheese! Normally you can put your fork into cheese and spin it onto it! Pizza night! I ordered from Formaggios around 6pm tonight (Tuesday!) I ordered a large pizza with spinach, feta, tomato and onion with their regular sauce! The pizza was great and the delivery guy was friendly! The reason why I am giving 4 stars is because my pizza did not arrive until 7:30! An hour and a half seems like a long time for a Tuesday night, they must have been busy maybe you guys should consider some more staff? So I pretty much remade a yelp account because of this restaurant. I drive by it all the time going to work and didn't realize it was a pizza place. Me and my boyfriend were looking for something on one of the ordering websites and decided to give it a try. It seemed pretty expensive for a large deep dish pizza, but when we opened the box we were astonished at how big and thick it was (we could have done with a medium). This is the only pizza we get. We buy two or three at a time and freeze it. It's the best pizza I've ever had. Only improvement would be if they delivered to old south... we have to only go do pick up, but still, the quality of the pizza more than makes up for it. read more

Ordered at 7:17pm- promised delivery time was 8:00-8:20. At almost 8:40 nothing had arrived. I called- was told the driver was on the way (it's a 10 min drive). Was also informed that they would not be sending the 2 orders of wings I ordered ($15 each) because they ran out so they sent pickle fries instead ($8) but would send extra because of the mix-up. I couldn't request something else since the driver was already on the way. After 9pm he finally shows up I see him walking up and knocking on the wrong door. I have to chase him in my socks on the cold, wet ground to get my hour late food. I get it inside. The pizza is cold, the dipping sauce with the $1.45 up charge is missing and they sent 1.5 orders of burnt inedible pickle fries to replace 2 fully paid orders or wings that are twice the price. So I paid more and got less- nearly two hours after I ordered it...and I ruined a perfectly good pair of new white socks chasing after the driver for the privilege. Excellent customer service! My boyfriend and I were looking for a pizza place that was not a well known chain and hand crafted their pizzas with quality ingredients and love. We found exactly that at Formaggio's. We got a deep dish pizza, garlic bread and a 2L pop for a very reasonable price.
