Everyone has a favorite pair of jeans and I have had mine stashed away for a bit as I knew they needed some repair. I refused to part with them so as I was cleaning my closet out I showed my daughter my old jeans. She immediately spoke up and said take them to Almir. He will repair and make them like new again. I took her advice and today and picked up my beautiful pair of jeans with new belt loops and interior patches added. They look so good and I can hardly wait to wear them. The workmanship is fantastic. I am so grateful for the care they took with my jeans. Almir and his crew provide alterations, embroidery, mending and repair, custom tailoring, and they are able to create reproductions. They also offer a beautiful collection of wedding gowns. I first brought in two pairs of jeans and a pair of cashmere lounge pants -- and they did such an excellent job that I've been back multiple times since. They've added elastic to the sleeves of a very expensive winter coat, hemmed several pairs of slacks and jeans, and taken in both the legs and waistbands of other pants. Every piece has come back fitting beautifully. Lisa is thorough, kind, and incredibly helpful. She takes the time to make sure everything fits just right, and the pricing is very reasonable. Typically, in the last decade or so, the cost of alterations for me have surpassed the cost of the pants they are doing the work on which I find insane but what can you do? This place charged me $14 a pair. It took them exactly a week to complete the job which is a little long. Generally, should take 4-5 days. I would plan ahead, just in case. The quality of work appears to be solid with the stitch intact. I recommend.
