I have shopped at this Forman Mills location many times over the years when I lived in the Bronx and when I moved away because the store has consistently had great values and really good items. Honestly the prices even rival chains like Walmart and Target. It is one of the smaller chain stores, but the values are affordable, and you can choose to shop for a variety of items. The store reminds me alot of Conway and Fallas which I wish would make a return. In general, you do not have to shop separately for clothing (unless you are particular) for men's, women's, teens and children's clothing because all of these age groups and genders are carried at Forman Mills. Amongst all of these groups the store sells shirts, pants, sweaters, gym apparel, socks, formal wear like suits and dresses, underwear, shoes, accessories, and so much more. I have NEVER EVER been the person to follow trends or shop at over pricy stores to impress anyone. I wear what I like and it is a bonus if it is budget friendly. This store happens to carry really cool clothing especially for the younger crowd. They sell toys for children here too, but not a huge variety. There is a small section for basic home items such as art frames, towels, pillows, toiletries such as soap and lotion. The list goes on. Forman Mills is a great addition to the 149th street shopping area and I will continue to shop here from time to time when I am able to go to the area. I highly recommend the store. read more

When I heard Forman Mills was going to open near us, I was excited and when the day came I made my merry way there, no I didn't shop till I dropped but I did get some good deals. They have a wide range of designer wear for women, men and kids at very reasonable pricing. The men's section is pretty big, the branded jeans starts from $7.99 onwards, worth getting. Ladies section has a big selection and they have some cute bags too. A good place to get school clothings for the children. :o) read more

Deals on top of DEALS! I find some pretty good clothes, every time I go there. But of course with every positive comes a negative unfortunately, the store is congested. The aisles are small it's very hard to maneuver around with push carts. It's unorganized and it's sometimes hard to find exact things. The checkout line is the WORSE. Worse customer service ever. I wanted to get some items because it is time for me to do the citizenship got to the location and noticed there's isn't a lot of shirts my size so I decided to try one. Went to the area to put it on and they tell me I was unable to get another that is already open. So I did and because they were the same color the lady said that if I took it out of the bag. I've always heard about Forman Mills but never ventured into their stores until now. I was in the Boogy down Bronx doing some early Xmas shopping for about 7 kids aged from 3months old to 7 years old. I was told to check out 149th and 3rd Avenue for some affordable clothes for the kiddies. Boy when I first walked in this warehouse like store I was overwhelmed with the clothes. I went straight to the back for their children's section and racked up jeans, sweaters and hats and gloves. My cart was so full and I was ecstatic with the amount of clothes I bought. The store itself is packed so tight its hard to push a cart down the aisles. I would get there early because it did get crowded. I would definitely check out this store in Jersey where I heard it was a better selection. read more

I've lived in the Bronx for quite some time and have never ventured into Forman Mills. I needed a pair of work pants but didn't feel like going downtown and, more importantly, didn't want to spend $65.00 at the Loft or Ann Taylor. I figured I would try my luck at Forman Mills instead. I must say, it appears to be a real junk-hole but if you take the time to look you can find some real gems. I found a pair of Ralph Lauren grey wool slacks that were marked down to $5.00. I also got a cute cotton sweater with three-quarter sleeves for $5.99. Three pairs of slacks and one sweater cost me $26.00!!!!! I was told by someone that works there that they always have name brand clothing deeply discounted. I will definitely go back from time to time and check out their inventory. HORRIBLE experience! The manager screams at the poor workers! Making it difficult to even shop. She treats them like animals it's so sad to watch. I honestly felt so bad for them. I give the store 4 stars because when you go during their "sales" you can catch shirts that were once $24 for $10 or less, that includes, jeans, shoes, tops, etc. So I always hit the store during the changing of the seasons. Otherwise, they have good bargains, you have to take your time and shop and be prepared to stand on a long line and they no longer let you use the restrooms. read more

All of the clothes were on the floor and some of the clothes were dirty. Then when we got on line, we had to wait for a hour. There were only 3 cashiers. People started to walk out. I hate shopping during the holidays. read more

I have been passing this store for years and never went inside because I usually shop at Marshalls. However I came in here one day needing to buy work clothes and NOT wanting to spend an arm and a leg on decent business casual clothes. If you have never been here they do request that you leave any shopping bags at the front (they give you a number ) and on your way out just remember to collect your bags. They have a pretty good selection to choose from. Yes it can be overwhelming with the aisles of clothes but come early and take your time combing through the aisles. I found a whole LEVI section (jeans ranged from $15-$25). The kids section was a bit disappointing but I found what I needed to in there. They do have fitting rooms...they are gross and very ghetto looking. One of the curtains had very visible stains all over it. I needed to try on the jeans but I couldn't wait to get out of that dressing room. Check out was bittersweet because it really did feel like a steal but waiting in that line wasn't too fun. But I have to admit I'll definitely be back to stock up on work clothes. read more

Well this is my second time being at this store and from what I recall they used to have a much greater selection for both men/'young men but that was some years ago and this is today look it the level of cleanliness tells me that they have at least managed to retained the services of the very same cleaning crew they had all those years ago when I first came to the city and discovered this place honestly I noticed that some of the exact brands and style are at least double of what they actually cost at Conway just a couple of buildings down the street but of course it is a pretty clean store so in that aspect there is no comparison but I did also noticed that who ever is in charge of hiring the staff just does not care enough to train them properly in keeping their fucking mouths shut about their personal affairs/feuds with fellow co'workers in front of the customers as well in proper manners/respect towards a customer should they require help no need to act as if you are of such great importance that people who aren't aware of the layout should not be asking you anything and visibly twisting up your face/kissing your teethes as well if it were up to me you would be fired immediately as a matter of fact you would not be hired to begin with so even though it is not the greatest you are still getting paid a salary after all so no need to act disgusting is there? read more

Today just like every other day i see no employees on the floor and the Line for cashier starts all the way at the back of the store. This is truly unexceptable. I'm ususally a pretty regular customer of Forman Mills. They have a descent selection especially if you are on a budget. However on a recent visit I experienced some of the worst customer service I have ever received. The manager was the worst of any I have encountered. His attitude to resolve the situation was horrendous. He was completely uncompromising and down right rude. I would think a manager would have better people skills.Maybe they should take a class on how to treat their customers. As a result of such poor treatment, I would rather spend my money somewhere else then to subject myself to this type of behavior. read more
