Good choice. We were camping down the road at Parvin State Park and needed some extra firewood, and wouldn't you know - they had some right in front of the store. The price was $5.99 - nearly $2-$3 less than other places we had previously checked out. OK, so it was soft wood and burned like a matchstick, but it was perfect as the base we needed to start a fire in a cast iron stove. They were having a cashier issue being short staffed, but they made an announcement overhead, solved the problem, and sorted everyone out. That's customer service.

First visit ever to a Tractor Supply Co. I LOVE that they let you take your dogs inside! Nice…read moretouch. Store is big, IMO. I cannot say how big compared to other TSCs but I took photos to show you. They carry a little of everything, particularly everything farm! I never saw egg collecting trays, or the stack of random huge galvanized rings out front (for what purpose I cannot guess). Had a large selection of Ariat boots for riding and casual wear. Lots of clothes, both specialty-functional for farm / riding / outdoors activities, as well as some fashion. Kids toys, dog toys, home decor, feed for various agricultural animals and pets, hardware, camping, etc. There was even a case of jewelry. I had never seen a salt lick up close. I remember my parents buying one for our neighbors as a joke when they had a christening party for their farm-sized windmill that they bought for decor when they sipped cocktails on the patio (this was a 5-acre luxury property, not a farm), but I never saw it up close. Anyway, finally got to see the salt and mineral licks, which look like pavers and were a $6.99 bargain for the huge size. We had seen online that TSC carries some grain free dog foods at prices FAR better than box pet stores, so we wanted to test a flavor or two with our dogs. One dog is allergic to most proteins, and the other can't handle fish. We settled on their boar meat canned food and a kibble version too. The price is great for a grain-free food. Though our nearest store is still quite far, we signed up for their TSC "Neighbor's Club" rewards program. They send you a reward on your birthday, as well as seasonal rewards. I was surprised to find that they do not offer a military discount here, since they have a lot of overlap with stores like Depot, who do. TSC does give military discounts on special occasions (like Veteran's Day), but it's not an everyday thing as it is with similar stores. All in all we found the store very interesting and full of products that are super helpful on a farm or just a regular household. Staff was very friendly, and also interested in what our needs were, and wanted to help in a helpful way, not a pushy sale-driven way.

Ghetto ghetto ghetto... why oh why must every decent national chain we get have to be the ghetto…read moreversion of it? (that's a rhetorical question, in case it's not obvious. ) We get the ghetto, scaled down versions of EVERYTHING because Cumberland County is the economically depressed step-child of South Jersey. The stores we get are smaller, have less merchandise which is low end, and are generally poorly managed and staffed by people who just don't give a damn. Old Navy is no exception. I didn't realize just how crappy our ON was until I went to ON at the Cherry Hill Mall last week. It was like being blind and having sight restored.... So much merch! So many choices in every size! The Vineland store... not so much!!! The children's section at the Vineland ON is abymsmal. It used to be bigger and better stocked. I have no idea why they would trim down their selection to the bare bones department it is now. They have no maternity section and virtually NO plus sizes. Like, lets get real... how many size 2's do you really think live in a county where most people eat McDonald's for breakfast, lunch and dinner because it's all they can afford. Why don't managers of clothing stores trend sizes to see what they should order?!? Like 15 percent of Cumberland County are Mexican women of extremely short stature (seriously... 4'8" to 5'2".) So why aren't they stocking petite sizes? So if you're a size 4 or below and 6 feet tall, you can always come to the Vineland ON and find scads of your size on sale! But if your fat, short or fat AND short like me, fahggeddaboudit, there's nothing for you here.
