A company that does nothing but give roofing companies bad reputations. Estimate started for $7000.00, was increased to $8400, after roof was installed, final billing was for $9100. Form. fought with insurance company in a very rude fashion. Ins. co.was not going to increase my allowance due to false promises and extreme costs for materials & labor (listing labor 2 times on bill, billed insurance for work on other structures on property they didn't touch for ex.) and another issue, Form. stated increased items were used as time moved forward to get more ins. dollars....demanded copies of all hail damage whereas personal property and dollars allowed for repairs of personal property are home owners business only. After 4 mos. Form. increased costs to $10,300. stating all items were misquoted and were to be increased. Form. had roof material costs, inspector's notes and payment amts. in April but stalled to continue with increases. Ins. co. held tight and did consider what Form stated they had done extra but after 4 mos. plus, Form. used the ins. co.'s suggestions for my work to get all resolved, sent me a final notice with a REMIT IMMEDIATE---acted rude, fired the original project manager which didn't help and whom was replaced with one of the most unqualified, inexperienced people person for this kind of business I ever worked with, just a long title. Never offered to come to the house or meet to discuss face to face. Company did this identical "problem picture" with a good friend, neighbor--all of us were getting roofing done at the same time. Never followed up on 5 referrals in immediate neighborhood to add to insult. I paid ahead of time $6000. and was never thanked once, not thanked after I settled with an amt. I could accept, knowing it was a higher amt. than the work preformed but I'm easy to get along with and wanted to get them out of my life completely. New project manager, Joe Miller, complained to ins.co. he was not making enough profit and was going to increase final statement to make up the difference with me paying more. I personally priced one item for roof under -lay and cost was $225 at H. Depot, Form. charged ins. co. over $500 for identical product. On and on, will sign off but very sad these people join companies and sooner or later loose business for the very company they work for-no people skills, insulting, rude to myself as well as neighbor, I have to say I'm proud of my ins. co. for helping me and when the next hail storm arrives, I'll rewrite my story to reinforce this unprofessional handling of a basic roof so others don't go thru this. And,so sorry their profit margin didn't allow them to take a cruise ship vacation--probably did! read more

It has been 3 years since the hail storm. I own two properties that were damaged in the storm. Roofing , siding, windows, garage door...the storm really did a number on my homes. Just as I was about ready to call my insurance agent Travis from formula roofing approaches me while I'm outside doing some yard work. Many companies offering repair services had desended on my neighborhood and I was cautious and he approached me. When I realized that the company he representated was from Denver and not from Greeley I really had concerns. I did not want someone to work on my homes that had offices so far away. What if I had concerns with the work that was done, How long would it take them to send someone back to remedy the situation? So we continued to talk. Travis was easy to talk to and very friendly. I felt a bond with Travis and decided to give him the opportunity to take a look at my homes. He spent nearly 3 hours on my home looking over everything and about another hour on my other house drawing maps and taking notes. Anyway..to make a long story short the company was wonderful. They handled everything. Paperwork with the insurance company. Additional paperwork that needed to be submitted because cost we're not what they should be. Communicating with me was excellent. I was never not informed about what was occurring with the repairs on my homes. The checks that the insurance companie sent me were just forwarded to Formula offices and I was never asked to pay for anything out of my own pocket. When the repair work was finished and I had some concerns about work that needed some additional attention..a service technician was usually back within the week to take care of the issue. Amazing transformation! We contracted Formula Roofing to provide a full tile roof restoration and gutters replacement. Nick and Tony shared photos from start to finish to provide visibility underneath the original roof. The different phases from the photos looked very uniform and professionally done. The finished product looks fresh and new, especially now with the new gutters. Already received some compliments from my neighbors. The team under Tony's leadership did incredible work and I appreciated the ongoing communication throughout the project. Since our project was completed during Winter, weather was an expected challenge that the team did an excellent job working around it and even pushing through on a Saturday to stay on schedule. Nick was a pleasure to work with throughout the process. His insight / perspective on the pros and cons between the three options was very helpful to be able to choose the best option for our home. We also appreciated his willingness to work with us to offer a very competitive price on the full restoration and new gutters. I believe in waiting until the project is complete and time has passed before I write a review. I feel it is the best way to assess quality, and besides I learned my lesson years ago when I celebrated my house being under contract before actually closing. Today I wait until the fat lady sings, so to speak. I am very happy with Formula Roofing. Our roof was not badly damaged from the hail but our insurance company said they would replace it. I interviewed several roofing companies and chose Formula. Miles was upbeat, energetic and well informed. We waited until the weather was good before installing the roof, which was fine with us. Keeping everything as dry as possible during installation just made good sense. Miles worked with our insurance company every step of the way. It was remarkable how he managed to keep everyone informed and working together. He brought out a full crew for the job and they did it in one day! Our roof is over 2000 square feet and they wrapped it up in one day which was great as we had little inconvenience. . All the old roofing materials were removed, everything was cleaned up We took our metal detector to the driveway and found nothing. . We wanted to have the gutters done as well, so a crew came out a few days later and took about a half day doing the gutters. They cut them onsite and did a beautiful job,, the color was just what I expected. We have lived with our new roof and gutters for several months now and we love it. We had an outstanding experience with Formula Roofing. We had a lightweight concrete tile roof that had caused us a great deal of trouble over the past 17 years. We finally decided to get rid of it and replace it with good quality asphalt shingles. Will Kerr developed a proposal and estimate. The price was very competitive and he was the most responsive of all the roofers we contacted. One thing we particularly liked was he would also be our project manager, so he knew exactly what we had discussed and all our concerns. The team was on-time and worked extremely hard. The project went like clockwork, and Will made sure all our concerns were covered, and that any questions that came up were promptly and completely addressed. They finished on-time, on budget, and we are very happy with the results. There were a couple of minor follow-ups, but nothing significant. But what made us extremely happy was even though one of the follow-ups required Will to chase down a part that took several weeks to locate, he did it and came out a couple of months after the project and did the small fix. He took complete responsibility for making sure the project was completed and to our satisfaction without us having to nag. Hopefully we won't need another roof, but if we ever do need more work I would hire Formula again, and we have recommended them to other people without reservations. read more

I can't recommend this company highly enough! I had the unfortunate experience of having extensive hail damage on a rental home of mine in Brighton, while living out of state. I needed a company that could act as a general manager, since I needed new windows, doors, and screens, new roof, shutters, gutters, and new paint. I needed a company that I could trust to manage the job efficiently, do a good job on the work, and fight with my insurance company to get what I deserved in coverage. Formula roofing came through on all fronts! I'm a busy attorney, and the best part was that they didn't need to be micromanaged by me in the slightest bit. All of the work was done to my expectations, and the house looked beautiful when they were done with it. I worked with Elbert Hawkins in scheduling and overseeing the work, and he was fantastic to deal with - very accommodating, with a no nonsense approach to completing the work. Moving into my early 1900s French Colonial last year after leaving DC was one of the best moves of my life. With that said, moving right before the hail storm of the century was not. Our roof got battered and splintered to the point of internal leaking. I found these guys on yelp and I decided to give them a try. Remarkably, after giving them a call one of their project managers, Ryan D., came out to our home the following day! Talk about a quick turnaround! His courteous demeanor and genuine concern for our house was spectacular. Ryan D. rest us assured that he would personally make sure everything with the repairs and replacements went smoothly...and he wasn't lying. Ryan D. would make sure to keep us in the loop on a consistent basis whether it had to do with material selection, insurance conversations, payment options, ect. He really made us feel like we were working with a family member who truly had our best interest at heart. I haven't felt that way in a long time and when it's come to contractors and home repair you never know what you'll get. I will ABSOLUTELY be using them again and I've already recommended them multiple times. Cheers! Our home was one of the many hit by the crazy hail storm in Denver in early 2017. After being hassled by so many people to hire them, I decided to Google the best roofers in Denver. There's no surprise while Formula is a true 5-star roofing company! Michael B. was put in charge of our project, and since the minute I met him I could tell not only was he a great and trustworthy guy, but that he would deliver an exceptional product. Mike went out of his way to somehow make the schedule work while we were out of town (which was a HUGE plus!) and stayed in touch with us along the whole process. Because of the incredible amount of houses affected by this storm, the claim (from start to finish) took a bit longer than I hoped, but Mike took all the heavy lifting (all the house work & schedules, dealing with AllState claim reps directly etc) and worked seamlessly to make this a straight-forward and easy process! We are, or should I say, I am -a picky person to deal with. This company is great. They have extensive knowledge about tile roofs and what ever goes under it and how and where to place proper batans (spelling?) and do not ask for money up front. They completed the job and got paid after all was done. They have also done a gutter job for us and we had forgotten to pay them as each of us thought the other had written the check. When we noticed we contacted them right away and they were great about it. We also had a significant leak at the front entry we did not know about and they went out of their way to correct the issue which went beyond the actual roof. They water tested it and did not proceed with the roofing until all was water tight. They even upgraded the underlayment in that location. The best was that the tile roof compared to the shingle roof was a much better deal and price. Last, they also added two skylights to our roof. This is a one stop place for roof, gutters, skylights. The owner Lawrence is easy to work with and never were we asked for money up front. We were happy with the choice of roofing company and I would recommend them again. And did I say that they held to their bid even with additional issues? How awesome is that? read more

My home was for sale in Westminster, CO. Home was 20 years old and roof never replaced. Most roofers, real estate agents, and insurance folks telling me that roof probably not covered due to age. Due to having high Yelp rating, I contact Formula Roofing / Beau. Beau shows up takes a look, gives quote...says to give him a call when my USAA representative shows up. With only 20 min notice, Beau comes over to meet with insurance adjuster. In the end, USAA insurance covered the entire cost, plus Beau got me a new gazebo in the deal. Due to house on market, I needed roof done quickly. His team shows up less than 1 week later, BOOM, two days later, new roof installed and it looks great!! I can't say enough good things about this company and specifically about Beau. I was very busy during this time, working, trying to sell my house, trying to buy new house out of state, etc, etc. Beau handled EVERYTHING for me; working with Adams county on permits, communicating with insurance, ordering supplies, setting up work to be done and cleanup. Formula Roofing helped us out with a leaking roof from hail damage. Our manager was Joe Miller. He was always professional and looked out for our best interest the entire time. He was there when the insurance company came out to evaluate our broken, asbestos tile that was damaged from hail. He worked diligently with the insurance company to ensure we got the exact value that we should. Insurance tired to nickel and dime us and originally was only going to give us an asphalt shingle replacement, even though it wasn't like quality (we had tile). Joe went to bat for us, got professional opinions from experts and in the end got us an entire new tile roof and gutters. Casey and his crew did a great job of repairing the water damage to our kitchen and bedroom and worked with engineering companies to reinforce our roof to support the new tile. They worked around our busy life schedule and even around when our newborn was napping. The process (insurance claim) was time consuming from beginning to end, but well worth it! I filed a claim through my insurance company for hail damage and I chose Formula Roofing to do the job based on all of the awesome reviews. Beau worked with the insurance adjuster to make sure that all of the damage got covered. Unfortunately the adjuster ended up being a pain and he denied my claim altogether. I was devastated! Beau told me that I had the right to appeal the denial and request that a new adjuster be sent to assess my damage. I honestly had no clue that was possible and had Beau not told me, I would have accepted the answer from my insurance and not had my roof fixed. So I wrote a letter appealing the decision and just as he said, they accepted my appeal and sent a new adjuster out. This time we got a great adjuster who worked with Beau to get everything covered!! My claim was accepted and everything was paid. Beau was super helpful and knowledgeable. Thanks to him, I have a beautiful brand new roof! The crew did an awesome job covering the ground all around my house with tarps to catch the debris and nails. They also did a really great job cleaning up afterwards. I'm a local realtor that owes Dan Sharkey at Formula Roofing a huge HIGH FIVE! I was helping a client sell her home here in Denver and through the inspection it was discovered that the roof had significant hail damage. Formula was an absolute dream to work with on a pretty difficult project at my home involving multiple layers of involvement with my insurance company. Lawrence (business owner) came to my home multiple times in person to make sure the insurance situation was resolved in a satisfactory fashion, and when all was said and done the entire roof and brand new decking all ended up getting covered with no cost directed to me. In terms of the actual work, his team was incredibly efficient (finished everything in just one day) and the foreman Jesus was very communicative and great to work with. They even came back after the fact and installed two new vent stacks when it was identified that those were needed (which I honestly think was my fault for not being identified as needs during the initial work). If I ever need a new roof again (which seems unlikely considering how well this work was done!) I contacted Formula Roofing and Remodeling via their website regarding a few shingles that wind had taken off the roof this past weekend. They replied promptly via email letting me know they were happy to take care of it, and asked that I call to make an appointment. The next day Miles came out to inspect the roof. He was prompt, courteous, and professional. He inspected the roof, determined that all that needed to be done was replacing the missing shingles and some siliconing that was absent from the nails in the flashing. Due to the threat of rain, he covered the missing shingles with some tarp so we wouldn't have a leak. The very next day (today) he was able to come back out and perform the repairs, and at a very reasonable price. Not only was dealing with them a pleasure end-to-end, there was never an attempt to sell me something that wasn't needed (like say, a new roof). Any issues I have going forward with my roof, they'll be who I call. read more
