Philip Brackett was the estimator and proved to be timely, accurate in cost, spot on in terms of scheduling expectations, dropped off samples when promised, and patient enough to answer every rood related question I could ask. The installation team arrived on time, swarmed the roof in a fit of productivity, finished ahead of schedule, and left the perimeter of the house spotless. A few flecks of shingle material on the grill cover was the only sign that the roof had been stripped and replaced in the course of a few hours. Between the responsive service to start, fair cost, and timely deliver of the promised work I would use these guys again. read more

After owning my home for 9 years i knew it was time to repair the roof. I wasn't quite sure when the last repair was, but with many hail storms it was overdue i'm sure... Pete provided me the next steps on contacting the insurance company to see what they would cover. He last minute made time to come meet with the insurance adjuster and answer questions. After the crazy snow storms in Spring, my roof, that had just been replaced 2.5 years ago by another company, started leaking, badly. I didn't even know it was leaking until my bathroom ceiling started leaking water into my bathtub! I was in a panic and called Formula Roofing. They sent Casey Lewis over right away to look at it. Casey was polite and explained everything he was doing while he was doing it. I realized that I'm facing yet another winter and my roof leak still hasn't been fixed. I hopped on Yelp looking for a high review. Then I found Formula Roofing again. The only shocking thing about this suggestion is that over the the past 2-3 years I have been working with Formula Roofing to get my roof done! First, let me start by the great customer service on the first call. And... I'm not joking here. I was put in touch with Dustin who was great. I had a roof leak that was rather obvious when you get into the attic crawl space. My insurance was going to cover it. My recollection was that he found it immediately and coordinated a roofer to come fix it. I thought "problem solved!" Then disaster. The first guy that came out, "Caustic" (yes, that's my recollection of his name), said he didn't get into attic crawl spaces. Just flat out refused. But he was confident that he knew how to fix the leak. Of course, he didn't. He did some work and charged me/insurance. The leak continued. Mind you, this is Colorado. I basically have to wait for a large storm to see the leak come through my house. These are few and far between. I don't remember much about the second guy, only that he noted many different issues with my roof and recommended "other" repairs. These "other" repairs included a part of my front roof that is dripping under the soffit. Of course, I paid for those as well, insurance had washed their hands of the matter. The first/main leak continued. The soffit continued. Finally a THIRD guy came out and fixed the main leak. Sheesh. I was cooked. Mind you that there were an average of 3-5 calls between each of these steps and I'm waiting for storms to evaluate. Looking back, I overpaid for all the calls/repairs but hey, I'm not a roofer. I was glad the leak was done. EXCEPT... I wasn't. The first snow storm of last fall hit and the soffit leak was STILL LEAKING. I called Formula, was patched back through to Dustin, and out another guy came. He said he'd repair it, but Dustin informed me that I was "out of warrantee" on the roofing repairs. I authorized it and he didn't show. 2nd guy came... and then THIRD. On the last guy Dustin informed me that it was no longer a Formula roofing issue and that I'd be working with the final guy, Vince, alone. Then Vince ghosted me. What I learned in this whole debacle was that they are really interested in whole roof replacements. Primarily hail damaged roofs in people with insurance. Every single one of the guys above was nice enough to inspect my roof for hail damage when they found out my original job was an insurance covered leak. In this regard, Formula Roofing may very well be fantastic. However, for my 2 leaks, they were awful. Hence, I'm back on Yelp looking for a Roofer!!! read more

Nice folks - people I spoke with regarding a roofing quote, and the project manager who looked at my roof seemed knowledgeable and to have their act together. Sadly, that's where the goodness ends. Complete lack of accountability and follow up, such that I ended up chasing them to do business. A few wasted weeks gone by - no new roof. Gave up on these guys. Did eventually speak to a manager, who patiently listened to my experience. Offered a "we've been really swamped" reason as to why they dropped the ball on following up. OK - well, sounds like your team doesn't consider my business important enough to check in on, or lacks the organizational skills to manage and prioritize a busy schedule. Either way, that's not the kind of business 101 skills I will be paying for to manage this project. No thank you. read more

We met with Lawrence after a hail storm destroyed our roof and siding. After interviewing two other roofing companies, we felt more comfortable utilizing Formula for the entire project. He installed a new tile roof, painted the trim on our entire home, repaired our gutters and rotten soffett, installed new outside lighting, and resealed our porch. The guys at Formula Roofing & Remodeling are top notch and masters of their trade. Originally, they stopped by my house to introduce themselves as they were working on my neighbor's house. They advised me that insurance was footing the bill for their roof replacement and new gutters due to hail damage. I was skeptical that I might qualify because I was unaware of any damage on my roof. I allowed them to inspect. They found damage and walked me through the insurance claim process. Before I knew it, I was getting a new (upgraded) roof with improved efficiency and better ventilation, new gutters, AND a new paint job!!! All paid for by insurance. Way beyond my expectations. We're very impressed with Formula Roofing, especially Josh and Sage who did a new metal roof for us in Eldorado Springs. Josh was very professional with his estimates and contracts, and the team did great work for us. They tore the whole asphalt shingle roof off, repaired some damaged sheathing, fixed some poor design elements with some carpentry mod work and then did great job with corrugated roof and sheet metal details. A quick update. It seems that poor customer service was the least of my problems with Formula Roofing. Since my roof was done by Formula 3 years ago I've had 2 pieces of flashing fly off that I know of. Since I don't trust Formula Roofing (see my previous review) I'm having to pay another company for the repairs. Obviously my flashing was very poorly attached as we've only had moderate winds the past few years. Nothing even close to what my roof is *supposed* to be rated for. As you know water can do tremendous hidden damage to your home . Accordingly, I would highly recommend anyone that's had their roof replaced by Formula call another roofer (i.e. neutral 3rd party) for an inspection. Many if not most will do that for free. We had extensive damage after a large hail storm that hit Denver requiring repair of skylights, roof, siding, windows, and some exterior fixtures. This required multiple back and forth discussions with our insurance company to get everything covered that was damaged. As you could expect, many insurance companies were overwhelmed with all the claims, and although this took a long time to settle, Formula Roofing and Remodeling never gave up negotiating with our insurance company until a mutual agreement was reached. The communication throughout the process was wonderful, and the quality of the work was very good, especially in matching paint and stain colors to existing items. It can be unsettling when choosing a contractor for large repairs, hoping that you find a good one that will see the project through and work with your insurance company on your behalf so if you ever happen to find yourself in the situation, I totally recommend this company. read more

Very fast response and free estimate visit. They came to check my porch roof and suggested the proper way to fix it. No run-around, they are straight and to the point. My problem ended up being a masonry problem and they recommended a company instead of trying to charge for something extra. I would definitely contact them next time I need a roof repair. I have used Formula twice and both times I worked with Manny Hidalgo and it was a great experience, The first time was to replace my roof ( See previous review) and most recently to replace some missing gutter downspouts as well as add a new gutter to an addition. We have an older roof that was clearly in need of repair, and throughout the fall we had dozens of door-to-door roofing salesmen come by and promise that they'd get our roof covered by insurance for hail damage. They all felt shady, so we did some research and contacted Formula based on positive reviews. Manny and the rest of the Formula team felt like the only honest roofers in town. They were very upfront that getting our roof covered would be difficult because there wasn't significant hail damage, but that they'd meet with our insurance adjustor and try. Unfortunately the adjustor didn't cover it for replacement, but we went with Formula for repairs and they did a great job - high quality work, on time, and on budget. After doing a fair amount of research with the Better Business Bureau, Yelp, and contacting several vendors for my asphalt roof replacement, I went with Formula in large part due to Mr. Southwick.
