    We were there before they had opened but invited us is anyways. Very friendly staff. You should definitely go here!

    Good food and friendly service. Probably best restaurant in upper Sandusky. Perfect for a date night.

The Met is a unique building downtown Lima. It was built in the late 1880's and was originally home to the The Metropolitan Bank. It has since been morphed into a restaurant with very attractive original features. The wood floors and plaster ceilings...along with the attractive decor really enhance the dinning experience! The team here is very friendly, professional and welcoming. Ashley was outstanding. She hustled, knew her menu and had great recommendations. Ashley was very attentive and helped us enjoy the evening. I appreciated Liz stopping by and welcoming us. Liz shared lots of history and helped us appreciate the facility. The Met has a large food menu that has something for everyone. They have a large selection of beverages and specialty cocktails. All at reasonable prices. We started with a couple of Mule drinks. One was a designer St. Patrick's Day Mule and their specialty Met Mule. Both were very tasty, cool and refreshing . We started with the Focaccia bread appetizer. It had a lightly golden/chewing top with a soft and moist inside. Liz said that they make the bread fresh three times a day. The bread had a slight olive oil taste with a mild amount of Italian herbs. The soft whipped butter was a nice add. The side salad had lots of fresh spring greens. There was a few tasty tomatoes and lots of stronger tasting onions. The thin Parmesan cheese shreds were an excellent touch. The house ranch dressing was very smooth/light/creamy moderately thin with a mild ranch taste. My wife had the chicken bacon ranch flatbread. The crust was thin and crispy. She really liked the ranch house made sauce and how it accented the meat toppings. I had the Met Meatloaf which had an outstanding meat flavor. The meat was made with Italian sausage which had a slightly spicy kick. It was moist and tender to go along the beefy taste. The smooth red sauce on top was slightly sweet & spicy. It accented the meat nicely. The mashed potatoes were real with lumps, eyes and minute peel pieces. Very smooth and delicious! The grilled asparagus had a slight crisp to go along with the tender stalk. Not much seasoning detected...just a nice olive oil taste. Overall a fantastic dinner experience. We sat street level and watched the pedestrians come & go while enjoying the decor of this unique facility! The menu is large and the food and drinks are outstanding. A special trip to The Met in downtown Lima is worth a try!

We arrived at 11:30 and left at 2. They were nice to let us linger. Everything we had was terrific. Soups are made in-house. I'm thinking most all things on the very large menu were probably very good. They seem to care about the details. We also shared some ice cream cookie sundae concoction that was 5*. Metered parking on the street and there was a free lot but it was full. Meters were $2 for two hours. Nice staff and there were no staff shortages! Lilly our server was perfect. If we pass through again we will stop in! The bar area is exquisite.

We shared the street corn nachos and you'll have to try the freshest jalapeños on them, by far the best nachos ever! I kept with the theme and did the Al pastor tacos but with grilled chicken plus queso and chips on the side! Stuffed and amazed at how quick yet fresh and delicious everything was. Every single person kept saying how great their meal was. Danielle, the manager even stopped by to make sure everyone was taken care of! The ambiance was definitely vibey and perfect for socializing, with a lively atmosphere that fit our group of 13 well. Unfortunately, everything after the hostess stand went downhill on the service side. Our server felt disengaged from the start and rarely checked on us. It was hard to tell if we'd said something wrong or if he was just having an off night, but even after asking other staff members to send him over, he never came back to check on our table. With automatic gratuity already added for a large party, it was disappointing to experience such minimal attention and care. What I had: * Mediterranean Salmon (shared): The portion split felt more like 75/25 than an even share, which was a little odd for something asked to be split. The salmon itself was decent, but the hummus quickly overpowered the dish if you mixed everything together. * Teriyaki Ribeye: I requested medium rare and received a steak well past well-done, dry enough that it was basically inedible. It almost tasted like it had been reheated rather than freshly cooked. Since our server never checked in, I had to flag someone else down to get it replaced, and the remake took about 15 minutes to arrive--even though the cut was thin and already marinated. * Old Fashioned: The cocktail came out quite watered down, with very little depth of flavor. I would've asked for it to be remade, but again, our server was nowhere to be found. The bar program also felt surprisingly limited for a place that leans into a social, cocktail-forward vibe, which added to the letdown. Between the uneven service, lack of follow-through, and several misses on the food and drinks, it's hard to say I'd rush back--especially when there are so many other strong options in Columbus.
