My son wanted to go bowling on a rainy day. We don't go often and called another (popular) location. Their rates were crazy! Just to bowl one game (3 people) would have exceeded $100. I called Fort Hill and their rates were reasonable. The bowling alley is just that, a place to bowl. It's a bit older inside and not fancy. The important part is that we had fun, bowled THREE games and it didn't break the bank! If you're looking for a reasonably priced alley, this is the place. read more

I can understand having a no food and drinks policy because you want to make mo eye selling it to people. But it's absurd to not allow water. And to have the nerve to say that they can't smell my water to make sure it's water. I'm new to the area and will not be giving them any of my business. Plus the place had not ONE person there. I've only been here once (a few weekends ago) and it was a pretty enjoyable experience. I arrived at about 4:15 on a Saturday with a group of people looking to celebrate a birthday and use two bowling lanes, and we were told it would be a 90 minute wait for a single lane. Flabbergasted, we stood around trying to figure out what to do, and eventually just put our names on the wait list with someone's cell number for the bowling alley to call when two lanes opened. We'd all had late lunches because we were planning on eating after our bowling experience, and there was literally nothing else for 12 people to do while waiting 90 minutes or more, so we went to a deli and ate to kill time. Long story short, it was around 7 pm when we got our lanes/shoes/bowling balls and actually got into our games. The lanes were well taken care of, and the pin machines were SO FLIPPING FAST. I loved that there were so many bowling balls to choose from, too, even while the entire place was packed. The downside? It took forever to get any snacks/drinks because there was one person working the counter at any given time, and what felt like hundreds of people crammed into the alley. read more

Honestly was one of the worst bowling alleys I have ever been to. 1. The technology is way dated, and only worked half the time. We were constantly waiting 3-5 minutes for the next frame because the balls get stuck in the back and you have to call for help. 2. We went in and bought 2 games. After the first game we realized it sucked and went to get a refund. Of course they have a sign saying no refunds most likely because they got asked for refunds too many times before. 3. The staff kind of had a bad attitude that they wore on their face. So every time you had to ask for help because their lanes don't work they made you feel bad for asking. 4. I called to see if they would have any lanes available for a group of us. The man laughed.... I asked how busy they were, he said "VERY" then laughed again and hung up. Very unprofessional! This is the worst bowling experience I have ever had. The workers are rude and disrespectful and had hateful attitudes towards my group the whole night. Told us they stopped selling alcohol at 10 then sold it to the people beside us. The lanes don't work, you constantly have to press reset and it ruins the game. The place hasn't been updated since probably the 70s and random people walked in my lanes and took my ball. Do not recommend. read more

I've been kicked out of nicer places. First off let's talk about entering this bowling center for the first time. The stinch was unbearable. I have cats and their litter boxes smell better than this place. But the deals were nice, so I stayed. Now let me preface this next part by saying that I'm a top notch baller. I bowl around 190 most nights. But I've been on a 2 month hiatus from the game, so I was a little rusty. I bowled a few into the gutter and ended up getting the ball stuck. Something that a 190 bowler never does, but hey, I was rusty. What do you expect? The manager that was running the joint, came over and told me to leave. She kicked me out? She kicked me out because I was rusty? Fort Hill is a shaming bowlers type of place. They'll never get my business again! read more

This is a super great place. Prices are great, around 5 bucks per game including shoes and the people working there are pretty nice. The claw machines are my favorite part, they aren't rigged like all the rest. I spilled my beverage and that was fun. Service is kinda slow as well. So yea, pretty okay place. read more

The price is great! Three of us played two games with shoes included and the total was $35. However, their equipment is pretty old it seems and we had to press the "reset" to unfreeze the lanes at least 10 times within two games. Sometimes, it would skip someone's turn in the process but the more frustrating part is that we had to ask for someone to retrieve our balls when the reset didn't work pretty often as well. Not sure if we just got unlucky with our lane but it was a very frustrating experience overall. Other than that I would recommend the place and if you keep having these problems ask to switch lanes (which is what we should have done). read more

I recently went here with a group of friends actually reluctantly because I had heard that AMF was a way better option. I was pleasantly surprised with this place. Sure, the technology may not be quite what AMF offers (pretty basic scoring screens here, and I had to push "reset" very often on the ball return) but overall I was happy with the experience for the price. The environment was friendly, and I wouldn't have bowled any better at the other place. And honestly, I was glad I chose to go here. It'll save you a few bucks over AMF and you'll still have a great time. I'll be going back. read more

It was early in the evening and my cousin, brother, and I decided to hit the lanes to work on our game, even though our game hardly needs any work. (We consistently bowl 200+) . Upon entering, we were greeted with the repulsive combination of cigarettes, dirty pits, and freshly donated plasma. Despite the fowl odor, we decided to stick around due to their solid deals. We of course started extremely hot, my cousin rolled a turkey early to set the tone, but soon after my brother rolled a rare gutter ball. We didn't roast him too bad for it, we haven't played in months, so hey it happens. However, his ball unfortunately got stuck, (I kind of got the idea that this happens often at this alley, given the ancient/rusty lanes) so we decided to gently toss another ball down the gutter to push it out, this is very standard procedure in the beautiful game of bowling. We pushed it out, and began to adjust our scores accordingly , when suddenly an employee who resembled a character you'd see on Beavis and Butthead came waddling over telling us to leave. We were speechless, we were kicked out for playing the game the right way. The smell of cigarettes and dirty pits will haunt me forever after my first and last experience in the "bowling center." read more
