The KACC has been my primary care location for about 35 years and other than the computers being down in the Blood/urine lab, meaning they couldn't stick you for blood, or the Pharmacy closing unexpectedly, seems to happen on a Friday or a Monday, I have always been treated politely, friendly, and with respect. KACC is not a 'walk-in' clinic. If you've got a cold, or the flu, or a now-type non-life-threating aliment, you're better off going to a civilian walk-in clinic as appointments at KACC are days, if not weeks, away; doesn't mean you can't get a next-day appointment ... just don't expect it. And, while the KACC does have a (not good) word-of-mouth reputation for which I've not seen nor experienced ... over the years I've noted many a person being child-like by expecting instant service, no tolerance for short delays, or not grasping the concept of being 30-mins late to an appointment voids your time with the doctor.

Up to this point everything seemed unnecessary since I haven't even been seen by a doctor yet. Had the doctor come to see me to listen to my chest, he/she would have known the X-ray was not needed. After roughly 4 hours I left without ever seeing a doctor or nurse. I feel this visit was a waste of time and a complete insurance scam. As far as I can tell your company doesn't care about the people who come to you for care. Patient First should be called Patients money first, patient Care when we feel like it. From the folks you talked to when you called to place an appointment, to the front desk staff when you arrive, everybody is very friendly, helpful, but also professional. Dr. Martin's support staff is also great. When you're getting your vitals taken, you're never treated like they are in a rush and they also always make sure to answer any questions you may have. Dr. Martin is amazing. She is incredibly knowledgeable and thorough, but takes a whole body approach. She asks a lot of questions and gives you time to share any of your concerns with her. Neither of us have ever felt rushed when we were. The office is very spacious with a large waiting area and very well-maintained. If you need lab work done, they even have a lab downstairs in the same building; so it's very convenient. If you're looking to switch primary care providers, I cannot say enough great things about this practice.

It's funny how patients can wait 15 min or more but doctors can make you wait much longer. This doctor decided his time was just too important with an empty waiting room. Totally unacceptable. Johns Hopkins apparently doesn't have a late policy at all locations... From a quick web search: Johns Hopkins has different late policies by department, but generally, being more than 10-15 minutes late may result in rescheduling or being placed on a waitlist for later availability, so it is crucial to call the specific clinic ahead of time. Some locations also apply a grace period, while others consider lateness a no-show, potentially leading to a fee or even discharge from the practice for repeat offenses. Not good customer service. I think I'll find a new doctor and new location.

Seeing a specialist was easier than some insurances initially but then got harder when I asked to see the one I needed and they sent me to every other one wasting time and money. They misdiagnosed me once they saw mental symptoms when there was a medical reason, caused the problem to get worse and then it took me forever to figure out what I needed because they made me doubt myself. They did not really listen and got annoyed the more I got frustrated after being pushed off for years. They also told me I had to wait 5 years for a pap as I was in pain and sitting there legs spread ready for the pap and they took the smear and threw it away instead of sending it in and caused me extreme pain until switching doctors. However the nurses are friendly and the S Baltimore urgent care is nice but overall they are systematically severely flawed.
