The room was included in our package, but their website shows that rooms are generally about $249/night, plus tax. (There are also specials on-line to lower costs (for instance, get second night at 50% off OR 10% off for direct bookings)). The hotel is closed from Sept. 15-May 1. This older smoke-free hotel, with 94 rooms on two floors (no elevator), had a nice facelift since its days as the Westmark Inn. It's in an excellent location, easy walking distance to the Klondike Gold Rush Park, train station, and other attractions. While we didn't need them, the website says that there is free on-site uncovered self-parking, as well as free airport transfers. The front desk is staffed 24/7, and there's Internet in the lobby. Laundry facilities are also available. Our room, while on the smaller size, was clean and the bed was comfortable. We were disappointed that we weren't able to access the internet in our room nor was there a mini-fridge. The hotel has a restaurant and a bar, and the affiliated Bonanza Bar and Grill, a half-block away. However, breakfast was not included in the room rate. Overall, we had a good stay at the Holland America Skagway Inn, and would stay there again if we visit Skagway again. The price point is expensive for a two-star hotel, but Alaska is a pricey destination and many businesses (including this one) are only open during the summer months.

The owner, Kathy, guarantees her cooking so you know it was really great! Miss Dolly is found in at least 3 locations around the resort! Clean restrooms, excellent friendly service and well-stocked bar. Would definitely recommend this restaurant just outside of Skagway at Mile 7 on Dyea Road)! Finding the place is tricky. Located on the corner of 4th and Broadway you will see a huge historic building. Business has NO SIGNS on the building. You enter on the back side off 4th street and go up outside stairs to the 2nd floor. Rooms have high ceilings hardwood floors and trim, and my room had a cute desk. Great WiFi and Internet TV. Room also had a mini fridge and microwave. Bathroom had a shower only (no bathtub) and the building is NOT handicap accessible. I had a very comfortable stay!
