The manager at the location was very helpful in explaining the doors, locks, payments, etc. My complaint there is that they didn't tell me in advance that they have a truck available for your use on the day your storage starts. That would have been so helpful! The units are clean and the building overall is well kept. They have a variety of sizes and if you call at the right time, you may be able to get a special price (as I did). One thing you should double check when you sign up is the term - I believe they advertise as 30 days, but if you are renting in February (like me), you may not get all 30 days that you pay for. Just make sure to discuss this up front with them. I definitely recommend this location if you ever have storage needs in Southwest Allen.

On moving day, only one truck arrived, creating major space and efficiency issues. The crew worked slowly, overused plastic wrap, packed the truck carelessly, and several items were damaged during the move. Because one truck wasn't enough, my husband and I had to make five additional trips across town ourselves. The move took over 8 hours, and during delivery the driver allegedly damaged our brand-new driveway while backing in. Boxes were also unloaded without regard to room labels, creating additional frustration. After nearly two weeks of trying to resolve the issues, MVM denied responsibility for the damages and failed to provide a satisfactory solution. While the company claims it conducted an internal review, we feel it has refused to take accountability for the actions of its crew. Overall, our experience was marked by poor preparation, property damage, damaged belongings, and a lack of customer service. Based on our experience, we cannot recommend MVM Moving & Storage and encourage others to carefully research their options before hiring them.

Workers will damage your items and take no accountability and they expect you to have photo evidence of them damaging the items when it happens. If they tell you a price it will never be what they quote.

They under-quoted the amount of time that it was going to take to complete the move even after all information about the move that they requested was provided to them prior. Once they realized it was going to take longer than the amount of time quoted to me by them, they got in a big hurry and just started throwing my items carelessly into trash bags. They did not care about the items, and some items were broken, and other items "mysteriously" came up missing. They did not bring boxes for the move like I was told, instead bringing trash bags only to pack everything in them with out any way to tell what was in them, making un packing stressful and a nightmare for me. They left a bunch of items at the old address for which I myself had to go back FOUR separate times to retrieve my items, that they determined on their own that the items were trash, with out asking me if the items needed to be included in the move or not, they just left them there. They would have left all of my food in the refrigerator and freezer, if I would not have asked them if they packed it or not. I firmly believe that Ian completely lied to me about his so called company, supposed satisfied customers, and I know he lied about the boxes and packing tape that he said he would bring. Then when going back to the old address to make sure everything had been packed, and finding out that all the items in the bathroom were not packed along with a few other items, I told Ian that these items needed to be packed and moved. He very rudely replied, "Can I get paid!". Then once he proceeded to rip the shower curtain off the wall of the bathroom with the shower curtain still attached to the rod, threw all of my bathroom items in a trash bag, drove over to the new address, opened up the door and just threw the stuff on the floor and couch, and left as quick as he could. Ian made the moving process that was already stressful for me, even more stressful by lying and misrepresenting himself to gain my business. Do not waste your time hiring this company, or else you will regret it. I know I regret hiring them.

CROOKS. I moved out the 17th of the month and they did not pro-rate that month actually continued billing the following month. I have the voice mail with lima-cook to prove it and several other phone records. I had to cancel my credit card to get them to stop auto billing me. I rate them as low life scumbags that basically robbed me via credit card charging.. I have asked the credit card company to dispute the charges. Look elsewhere because at best they are incompetent and at worst they are flat out vultures that will pick your pocket on the way out the door. to top it off they claimed they could produce a time stamped video which is frightening I can produce a time stamped wireless phone bill of the dates I spoke with them.. these are not to be trusted. read more
