Been seeing doctor Bagarva since 2007. No more though. They don't take tricare here.. Not happy about that. Oh well, I'll find one closer to me now. At least I still have my primary doctor of 22 years. Bagarva and the other doctors are top notch. The front staff are pleasant, but they do not give you notice of cancelations until you sign in or doctors are out for other reasons. The care received by cardiologist was good. However the office staff is horrible, calls are never returned. This includes calls about appts and leaving msgs direct to the clinical team. if you want to talk directly to a person forget it. The patient portal is no better, concerns and questions are never addressed. As a recent bypass patient it is very important to me to receive some type of response. Time for a new place that is unless all Dr offices are now that way. read more

Was referred for cardiac clearance before knee replacement. 11:15 appointment. Please show up 15 minutes early. I did. First off parking lot is all on a steep hill. Not ideal for people on walkers, wheelchairs, and other ailments. Took me one minute to check in. Approximately 30 people already ahead of me. Was seen a little after 1 PM. Given an EKG test sitting in the chair instead of laying down. Quite unusual I thought. Dr. Desousa finally came in and was like a siding salesman. My blood pressure was high so he prescribed two different drugs. I'm good with that. Then start talking about a lot of other tests some quite invasive.with little or no examination. Three days later no one has called in prescriptions and are very defensive when asked why. Won't go back. Taking recommendations from friends instead of clinics. read more

I fully agree, the Staff and Doctors? are incompetent. First of all you can not contact anyone ever. You call in, you sit on hold forever. If your lucky, you can leave a message that will never be listened to. Your calls will not be returned. Second. The patient portal does not work. First scheduled appointment, took 2 weeks to get one. I show up and the appointment was changed to the day before. Would i like to reschedule? So at this time I went to a different physician. Second time, I was told this guy was a good doctor so thought I would give them one more chance. This turned into a nightmare as well. So took forever to get the appointment. So I tried calling in to verify my appointment and could never reach anyone on the phone and the portal does not work. I thought maybe the business had shut down. No, just a lazy staff and a non working patient portal and no means of contacting anyone. So I show up, the parking lot is very very steep, no parking on flat land. Great spot for a doctors office? waited an hour before I saw anyone, a girl came in a did an ekg, she did her part. So then I waited another hour to see the so called doctor. He come in does a 10 sec ck up thing, then starts asking questions. This is where things got uncomfortable and strange. He asked me several questions about drugs, but kept asking about cocaine over and over. Then in the middle of the exam, he sits in a chair, put his feet up in another chair and starts leaving voicemails that had nothing to do with my case, exam, ??? He get off the phone and starts asking the same questions again. Anyway I did not feel comfortable, I did not feel like I was seen by a physician of any kind. I felt like, he thought he new everything before it even happened, what I would say before I said it. So he did not feel the need to pay attention or even listen to the facts, because he a so called doctor and knows all. I tried for months to report the doctors actions during the exam, but no one would receive my call or return them. Still have not to this day. So shady business practices. You get billed - You try to pay bill but can not. You try to login to the portal, it does not work. You click on pay my bill, You cant it does not work. You click pay by phone, you cant no one answers the phone ever. Try to login on to Athena, you cant does not work. You could mail in a check I suppose, but is anyone there to get the mail? I don't trust them enough to provide them the information on my check. Ie routing and account. Lack of faith and trust At one time, I looked them up on the BBB and used a number on there to contact someone for help. They since removed all contact information off of the BBB site and they do not even belong to the BBB, Surprised? To all of you who have had the misfortune, I feel your pain. When you having medical issues and don't feel well you just don't need this kind of lack of caring or care. Take notes, create a phone log. a visit log. Note everything. This is for your protection. If you have been billed. Forget trying to pay them directly. Contact your insurance provider. My insurance provider provides me a way to pay the bill thru their website. I trust this more than any other method. I would not trust Ft Worth Heart with your checking information. Doctors are not gods, even though some think they are. Just like mechanics, cooks, engineers, etc. There are good ones and there are bad ones. If you don't feel comfortable, don't walk - run. This is the worst office you could ever take your family member to. DO NOT COME HERE. The doctors are great. But the office staff is so miserably incompetent. They make medical errors, lie about contacting you and seem to genuinely not care about your time or well being. Even though we love Dr Selim, we will be finding a new clinic because of the time wasted, frustration and mistakes of this office staff. My elderly mother recently had an appointment with Dr. Scott E. Ewing for medical clearance ahead of a dental procedure. Dr. Ewing himself was very kind and attentive--he even walked my mom and husband up to the front desk after the visit and instructed the staff to go ahead and fax the clearance. Unfortunately, the clearance was never sent. When my husband followed up today (after the dental office notified us they hadn't received anything), he was met with an extremely rude response from the front desk. The person who answered made it seem like it was a huge inconvenience to even check, offering a variety of excuses--one being that they "have lots of faxes and just file them in a box" for the doctor to sort through. That is completely unacceptable, especially considering the doctor gave direct instructions to send the clearance. I work at the front desk of a very busy family practice myself, and I would never treat a patient or their family this way. The lack of professionalism and accountability left us feeling frustrated and helpless. I now have to rearrange my own schedule just to find time to call back and file a complaint with the practice manager. It's unfortunate that such a good doctor is being represented so poorly by his front office. Very disappointed. read more

I am a new fairly new patient to the group, and so far my biggest complaint is that voice mails are ignored. I have called and left short VM's and left my name and number. Called 3 different times and no one returned my call. This is not a good way for a medical practice to operate. I see one one of the cardiologists in the Mistletoe office in Fort Worth, TX. I developed an amazing relationship with my cardiologist, Dr. A. I can deal with the cancelations, reschedule if appropriate notice is given. The last six months I've had issues with 1. Not notified of a cancelation of a FU after my echo. Sitting there waiting to see the doctor only to find out he wasnt there, the appt was cancelled, but I wasnt notified. 2. Scheduled for a cardiac cath on a Thursday with FU the next Friday, 4/10. Because I didnt get an email for check in, I called the office only to find out, I had no appt. Not that day or any other day. I have the paperwork with the appt written on it. Called to speak with clinical manager, left a message in Friday. No response by Tuesday, Called left another message, she returned after 430 same day. Claiming that she dudnt listen to the VM. She pretended not to understand what I was describing to her. I told her to not worry about it and hung up. I wont be treated like I'm dumb because you're refusing to accept responsibility for treating longtime patients poorly. But when we arrived at Dr. D'Souza's office at 2:45 pm August 11th, we were told he had left for the day. Yet his office phoned my wife on August 12th to chastise her for missing that appointment. We met Dr. Ewing in the ER at Baylor as he was the cardiologist on call. He ended up placing 2 stints as I was having an active heart attack when we got to the ER. It took 3 weeks to get in for the follow up but the P.A. was absolutely fantastic in the follow up appt. We were the only one's in the office. It's an OLD building and the office is pretty plain but that wasn't what we were there to see. Dr. Ewing did an excellent job getting to work fast in the ER. Very thankful to him. read more

Would not recommend Fort Worth Heart. Dr. James is nice enough but the practice is not well organized. So many missteps in my care I am lucky to be alive. Example #1 I was wearing a Holter Monitor and had to prompt his office to review my results. Once they reviewed the results my appointment was moved 2 months out. When I called to ask why they said the Doctor wanted to see me immediately. Example #2 Dr. James decided I needed a pacemaker, which was a solid decision. When I called the office 2 weeks after the "install" I found out my device had never been registered and they were not receiving telemetry data. When I asked why is wasn't registered they told me I should call Biotronik myself. I told them I thought that probably should be part of their job. The procedure was $63K, seems like the follow up should fall on Fort Worth Heart. Example #3 When I went to get my staples removed the Nurse said that Dermabond was used so she just needed to check on me. When I told her that staples were used, not Dermabond she said the chart said no staples were used. I assured her that staples were used and showed them to her. I have no doubt about Dr. James, his high level of education, and his ability to practice. I have serious doubts about the people at Fort Worth Heart. read more

Dr. James seems to be a very well educated cardiologist but as far as controlling his office staff he is a complete failure. His NP and so called office manager are undoubtedly two of the most rudest people on this planet. I told Dr. James about it twice and he tried to put it off on me. This rating is generous. Before the last 8 weeks, I would have rated them a 4 based on the ablation procedure they completed. My husband was seen almost 8 weeks ago because the new medication they'd prescribed him had negative side effects (resting heart rate less than or equal to 50). They told him to stop all but 1 medication and come back for a follow-up visit. At the follow-up his doctor was out of the country on holiday, and his PA refused to make any decision other than to schedule a stress test...for 4 weeks later. Which they then cancelled the day before and rescheduled at the office furthest away 5 days later. That was a week ago and they still have not contacted him to set up a follow-up appointment and address his very evident issue. We have informed multiple office staff that he has not been able to work during this time because he feels so poorly (YES, that's burning through 8 weeks of sick leave), and they clearly do not care. The doctor's expertise is noteworthy, but unless you are heading to the ER, don't plan on them making you a priority. read more

I have had good experiences with Ft Worth Heart. Doctors, nurses and all staff have always been friendly and helpful. I was surprised to find I needed to have my Aortic valve replaced, and they got me through all the tests, visits and surgery comfortably and with skill and professionalism. Today was my third visit to Fort Worth Heart in the last month. This place always exceeds my expectations by providing excellent customer service preappointment, during my appointment and follow up. They consistently communicate with me by fone and email to make sure I understand everything. Ava and the whole front office team is great. The technicians are very nice, knowledgeable, professional and friendly. My doctor has been great as well. I appreciate their adherence to safety protocols during this uncertain time. I've been using Fort Worth Heart for four years. It used to be great, but the quality of service dropped drastically during the first year of COVID. my cardiologis's staff called me at one point because they said they won't do any more refills because my insurance is no longer accepted there. uhh..ok. I tried telling them it was good, but they just kept telling me I need to find a new cardiologist. They've messed up my prescriptions, cancelled and rescheduled appts repeatedly, and lately they've got to where they don't even return phone calls. I've been waiting 5 days to get a date for my ICD implant procedure and I finally emailed them through the patient portal system. They immediately scheduled me, but never called or told me and I got no email notifications like I usually get. I asked them to notify me if you schedule me for a procedure. That doesn't seem unreasonable. They still haven't responded, but sent a link to the patient portal to get updates on future appts....the same patient portal I've been using to communicate with them. Every time I contact them it's one nightmare or another. They seem incapable of listening to their patients. read more

GO SOMEWHERE ELSE! I was given a referral for an important matter. An appointment was made right away. A short time later, the office called me to tell me the doctor wasn't in the office that day and they needed to reschedule. I work overnight shifts and am rarely able to do business over the phone during regular business hours. I called back after hours and left a detailed message explaining even I was available for an appointment and what times I couldn't be seen. They called me back to tell me they had scheduled the appointment for 2pm... A time I specified that I was not available due to another appointment. I called back and left another message, but the call was never acknowledged. I started awake one morning so that I could call and speak to a person live. I explained what was going on and she was very helpful, scheduling me for a day four days later, late in the afternoon. I arrived ten minutes early for today's appointment, only to be told that I didn't have an appointment. That I was marked as a no show for two appointments earlier in the day, and there was no record of the call with the lady who made this appointment. I was asked to wait, then told they could go ahead and see me anyway. Teen minutes later, I was told they couldn't see me after all, and offered to reschedule. I told them to forget it, called my doctor and asked for a referral to a different office. The lady at the window was nice and apologetic, but it doesn't change the fact that there is utter incompetence going on behind the scenes. Reading the reviews, this is a common problem here. If they can't get scheduling taken care of, I'm supposed to trust them with my heart health? I don't think so, and I wouldn't recommend anyone else does either. read more

I had an ablation procedure done about three years ago to deal with my a-fib. Operation was a great success, but trying to make appointments for follow-up has been pathetic. The front office simply does not know what they are doing. You will wait three months for an appointment then have an appointment cancelled a few days before. Had to get in here last minute during the last month of my pregnancy due to my original cardiologist not accepting my insurance anymore. My OB wanted to know if my congenital heart disease had worsened from the previous year and asked me to get a cardiogram done. I went and had a monitor placed on me for 24 hours. I called more than once asking for the results to my test, the last time I called the nurse said "the doctor is going to the hospital now to check your results, he'll call you Monday to let you know". Well I NEVER GOT A CALL. I was so done with this place that I didn't even bother calling again because at that point my due date was a week away. That was in November- here we are in March and I'm still paying triple digit bills every month for a treatment I STILL don't know the results of. Do yourself a favor and go anywhere else. read more

Have been using one of the Dr.'s with this establishment for several months now. Never quit get complete answers and it's hard to understand what he's saying, his accent is so strong. Had a heart monitor for 24 hrs and it showed that my heart needed to be slowed down so they put me on blood pressure medicine. The first one didn't work, so it took a week before they called in different one. That helped with the symptoms but not completely. So, I called the office and have always had to leave a message saying that they would call back. Left 3 messages that I remember and still no return call. So I finally went to the office and told them what was going on and I was told they were too busy to talk to me and that they would call me back. A week later and still no phone call. So I am looking for a new doctor. read more

I had a stent insertion done by a staff Cardiologist and have no complaint with that procedure, but the aftercare was nonexistent. After many months of cancelled appointments, showing up for scheduled appointments, but finding the office had no record of it, even though I had written confirmation, I gave up. I enlisted care from another doctor in order to have a follow-up to that procedure. Now years later, I am getting e-mails from the practice, asking for confirmation of an upcoming appointment, then notices of cancellation of that appointment. This morning I received another request for confirmation of my upcoming appointment. I did call to cancel that appointment, but it is a shame that they are unable to exhibit the same care. read more

Worst Medical organization I can imagine. List of unprofessional experiences: They consistently call to change my appointments the afternoon before or the morning of the appointment; calling never gets the right doctor's office but does get useless responses to "can you transfer me;" DeSouza couldn't be bothered to review my test results, let alone meet with me, in time for a follow-up appointment, scheduled by him, for the very purpose of discussing those results; Dr. Jayachandran ONLY does tele-visits - he is apparently VERY important - but no one tells you that when you are booked (and rebooked and rebooked); My only fake tele-visit was preceded by 2 phone calls - the second at 2pm telling me my 2:45 would be at 3:30. I sat by the phone all day and never received the call. BUT they sent a "PA record" of the visit the next day so they can bill me. They tried to cancel my appointment on Mistletoe because I arrived on time but not early despite the average 45 minute wait. The only efficient department is the billing folks - go figure. I will NEVER trust my health to these clowns. I will demand my primary doctor re-refer me. These guys need to work where no people are involved. Run. read more

I am very unhappy with the level of service patients receive at this clinic. Patients need responses to their voicemail. It would serve the patients well and speak to the level of service if someone bothered to contact patients in a timely manner considering hearts are life and death. I left a message related to my father's condition and he is not a new patient. It has been over 24 hours and no one has considered it important to call me of provide direction for my father. He was just discharge from Harris Methodist Fort Worth Monday. It is now Friday and he is symptomatic and no one considers it important enough to call him or myself with an earlier appointment than February 19th. I hope nothing happens to him between now and then as if it does we are talking a whole different response to their lack of concern. read more

So I don't feel the other reviews are warranted, you just have to call and schedule an appointment. They also text you days before and on the day of, so not sure what happened there. I am a patient of Dr. VJ and I had YEARS of misdiagnoses by multiple doctors until finally I was in the ER then ICU for days and Dr. VJ got it right. He had me in for surgery within a few days and the procedure worked flawlessly the first time! Before the surgery I couldn't do anything without having issues and ending up in the ER and I'm an athlete so that's a big downer for me. After the surgery and about 1 1/2 months of recouping I'm 20 again! I've climbed multiple mountains, I trail run 10 miles a week, I hit the gym for hour at a time and I'm doing lake sports again! It was truly life changing, I wouldn't trust anyone else for my surgery. I'm also a pilot and he made sure it didn't interfere with my pilots license! read more

My dad is use this doctors office for many many years and I never have complained about setting an appointment three months ago and then being called the day before saying the appointment need to be rescheduled. Now I am having to go to a heart doctor and chose this doctors office I get a call a day before my appointment telling me that I need to reschedule. The doctor I saw was alright but the office staff and the clinical staff are rude and have no follow through. The doctors in this office are doing themselves and their patients a disservice by allowing poor customer service. I showed up for my initial appointment only to be told that they had rescheduled it and that they had called me. They had not called me. Then they ordered tests and sent me the paperwork in the mail with absolutely no instructions. There was one test i didn't even know where to go to have done and when I called the office they said that they would have called in the orders to the place of my choice. I said "well, I was never asked where I wanted to go. Does my chart say where they sent the orders?" The nurse said that she was new and didn't know. I thought that was what a medical chart was for???!!! When I told the receptionist that their ratings online were bad, she said "that's fine". If they think it is fine for their patients to be dismissed, mis-scheduled, and not called back then that for sure justifies the ratings. These doctors need to get control of their office and their staff. There are other cardiologists out there fellows, your CUSTOMERS do not have to put up with this kind of service. read more

From the get go, the phone system is ridiculous. My husband and I both had to start going and you have to call the main phone line and then get transferred to the location, instead of directly calling the office. The operator is very short and transfers before you finish speaking. Then there have been several cancelled appointments on them. I understand now and then a doctor needs to go into surgery. I like the downtown doctors better. Dr. Berjanropa is awesome! You can understand him, he's personable, and thorough. His nurse we had that day didn't seem to know what she was doing and didn't get meds sent over to pharmacy. For myself, I scheduled for the Cleburne office because I live in Johnson County. I sat for 2 hrs before anyone realized that between the heart and Cleb. Family Medicine, I was told I was suppose to be sent to the Burleson office to get a heart monitor. They don't do jack squat in Cleburne. I eventually got into Burleson office, never being offered a consultation to start with to know what was going on. I'm 39 and my PCP heard arrhythmia. You would think I would meet a doctor first. I got sent for a few tests. One of the office ladies is rude. The other is nice but the other wasn't professional and made a joke while I was in front of everyone in regards if I can do the imaging scans because " my doc said I was having twins." Well, I have had 2 miscarriages and can't have kids and there's a form they should have stuck with. I lost it in the lobby and made a complaint. The techs are very good and compassionate. I would give them 5 stars. I eventually got to see Dr. Mehta. He doesn't spend much time with you, hard to communicate with, and how in the world do you not request my blood work and records from my PCP? I have other medical conditions. It all feels like a waste of time other than the tests I took. Now I'm trying to get into the downtown office and the phones are still messed up several months later and my appointment has been cancelled. I have noticed a few missed calls from yesterday and today with no voicemail. I also have been dealing with the billing people so voicemail would have been nice. We fill out all those papers to authorizing voicemails and notifications. I called and Operator didn't let me finish speaking and transferred me and got a voicemail. It's a circus. read more
