When I realized it had been two years I figured I'd better get with the program. I checked my insurance for offices close to home and Dr. Batton's name came up. I could literally walk here if I wasn't a lazy bum, so decided to give them a shot. From the moment I spoke with Gena to schedule my first appointment I knew I'd love the place. She was extremely helpful, upbeat and genuinely nice. When I arrived she knew who I was before I said anything, so apparently she has ESP (or she's intelligent and aware enough to put two and two together). I waited just a few minutes before Christie, the dental hygienist called me back. On the phone I told Gena that I had spinal surgery 6 weeks ago and Christie was already aware of my history. She was concerned about my level of comfort and continued to inquire throughout the visit. Christie was very easy to get along with and did such a great job cleaning my teeth. I love the way they feel right now :) The dentist I saw was Dr. Wilkinson. When he came in we talked for a moment before he examined my teeth and I found him to be both professional and caring. Everything went so smoothly! I truly love this place and would highly recommend them to anyone looking for a dentist in the area.

She sat my husband in the chair, ask him a lot of questions not once set me in there. She took me to do my x-ray and jerked my neck when we return to the room, I was sitting in a chair in the corner. She not once set me in the dentist chair to check my teeth out or anything, and once the dentist came in The dental assistant was on the computer put in the numbers in for the while the dentist was telling her about my husband's teeth, and then once the dentist done with my husband she asked me to sit in the dentist chair when I got in the dentist chair the dental assistant got up and left out of the room, and then she came back and said she was going to go help someone else and I thought her job was to assist the dentist. The dental assistant gave me the impression that she was racist because my husband is Hispanic and I am an African-American female, and she also sat there flirting with my husband in my face so what kind of a dental assistance is she she should be ashamed of herself, and she should be removed from her practice if she's gonna be racist against people and flirt with the patients. she's in the wrong job position. I pay $185 for nothing because they didn't do anything for me. I had informed them that I had been spitting pus out in the morning and when I said that the dental assistant wrinkled her nose up at me. I informed the dentist about it me spitting the pus assume that the dentist would prescribed me a anabiotic all she said was if we need anabiotic to call them and they will send one over for us. I would've assumed that while I was in her office she would have sent me an antibiotic prescription over to the pharmacy for me. I had informed them that I was spitting out Puss in the morning. I guess all they wanted was my money. I will tell you one thing I will never ever step one foot in that racist Dental office ever again.

I was not disappointed. I just completed having a tooth extraction and a crown replacement and both procedures went like clockwork. Dr. Bentley talks you through the whole process so you always know what to expect and his personality has a way of keeping you calm. He is very knowledgable and presents all your options for you to make the best decision based on the facts. She needed 4 wisdom teeth cut out. Said I would have to schedule procedure in the hospital. I said okay, even though there would be a bigger charge than the 4500 dollars for the surgeon. I paid 2,250 dollars for the down payment. Our friends had their kids done at Forest Park so I called them. They said of course you can do gas before IV in their office at no additional charge. So I canceled the surgery. They said my card would be credited in a few days. A week went by. No credit. I called and after messages and texts I got a return call. Oh, we'll make sure that gets done today. Another several days. No credit. Called several times again. (They NEVER answer the phone or return calls.) Then it's "Oh! We'll make absolutely SURE THIS TIME your credit is issued." I told them if I didn't see a credit by Friday I was going to file fraud charges. We'll see if that does it. They don't offer the same services more reputable places do, they make you spend more money for the same procedure, then they don't refund your deposit as promised. When they get incredibly inflamed, the pain is horrific. When I visited Dr. Cecere, he initially was nice and suggested that I may have Shogren's syndrome after looking at the skin tissue tags and wanted to take a piece of flesh out of my jaw (not the skin tag, mind you, but the side of where my jaw and upper chin meet) to confirm this through testing. I thought it was weird that he took tissue from that area but assumed he knew what he was doing since he's the doctor. On the day of the operation, my mom took me and the office said it would take no more than an hour for Cecere to be done. I came out of the office in worse shape than I went in - I had a huge gaping hole in the side of my interior cheek where he took the tissue and the pain was excruciating. Also, I continually vomited on the way home, which I have never done after any office procedure before. My mom was so angry and disturbed that she called his office repeatedly, who kept giving excuses about the vomiting and they this hadn't happened to any other patients. I vomited after leaving the office, to the pharmacy, in the car ride home, and finally, when I got home again. When I went back to Cecere's office, I asked him about how the Shogren's syndrome was affecting my the inflamed flesh in my mouth, and since I still have them, what was going to be done about it. I kid you not when I say Cecere laughed, told me I didn't have shoegren's syndrome, and very flippantly stated, "oh, those are just like nipples, there's nothing that can be done about them. Just take some Tylenol". My mouth dropped from his total lack of empathy, and moreso, his willingness to perform a surgery on me that was completely unnecessary. Why didn't he tell me this issue could be handled with tyneol at home rather than suggest it was disease that needed to be confirmed with taking a sample of tissue? Because he's an outdated, sham - simple, a trash person hiding behind his credentials. It was bad practice all the way around, and in my opinion, he shouldn't even be allowed to practice. I wouldn't even give him a 1 star rating. He is a terrible excuse for a human being, adheres to no ethics as a doctor, and doesn't need to be operating on people. And if you think my review is full of crap or question it, please look him on on the state website for oral surgeons and dentists - he has a former complaint from another patient where did something similar to this person and he was sanctioned for his actions. How he is business still, I don't even know. Please, please, please do NOT go to this con-man for any services. He doesn't care about your body or problems - he only cares about making money at the expense.l of your body.

I'm from New Orleans and I moved to the DFW area in 2015. My teeth had plague that I could brush off and there were some sensitive spots. Most importantly, they noted my sensitive areas and cleaned them without much pain. I didn't know the sensitive areas were cleaned until I got home and stared at the mirror for about a hour. This is the second time I came into this business where the lady in the front desk was rude and unfriendly to me. When I walked in, she stared at me (she wasn't busy at the time), never smiled, never said hello and curtly said, "What is your name?" in an annoyed rude curt tone. BUT ONE MINUTE LATER a Caucasian male walked in and she was super sweet as pie to him and said "Hello! How can I help you Sir? What is your name please?" Totally different treatment like night and day. She treated him with the utmost respect in front of me one minute after she treated me like crap. When I complained they told me to find another dentist which I did. My dentist who I have been with for years now is a million times better than this one. The old female who is the receptionist is a miserable hateful person who dislikes Asians obviously. Their lame response below "We are sorry you feel this way" is NOT an apology. It is a non-apology that has no empathy and has no accountability for the receptionist's rudeness; and they are implying that my feelings are the problem. It is a really crappy and fake response that reflects their lack of empathy.
