He creates something out of the pile of ideas I send him and never disappoints. He curates a welcoming and relaxing environment and doesn't fail to keep his hand relatively light and the experience short. It's all your own preference, but I never feel as though I am alone through the process, he has the ability to make conversation with a wall or just be the wall. I have first-hand seen him interact with unexpected costumers and been touched by how he can kindly answer questions that might seem obvious to others. I can't wait to work with him again. If you're going to have a flash sale, you should have enough artists that can accommodate the influx in business. I already knew what I wanted so I sent a scan and they had no issues helping me with my permanent art. They were super kind and answered all of my gajillion questions. One of my piercings took over 10 minutes and he told me after he did the piercing that he usually tells people that he wouldn't do this piercing because it's so tough and that he had only done it on two other people, yet he still decided to do it. Not the same tattoo, just a second tattoo of our choosing, but at the same time. Lo, six years passed and we finally had our chance, but where to get these tattoos? Enter our friends' 20-something daughter's friend's recommendation for this place. I know that sounded totally sketch, but it turned out to be great. Located in downtown Portland on the second story of a professional building, it was surprisingly spacious, with a reception area, break room, and rest room. It had lots of cool art everywhere and great light from all the windows. There were two artists on hand to work on all five of us (our friends' daughter decided to join in on the fun). The hubby and I already had our designs, so we emailed it to them ahead of time and they had the transfers ready to go. The other three people sort of knew what they wanted but needed some artistic guidance, which the studio was able to provide. Since the tattoos varied in size and complexity, it ended up taking about 6 hours, but it was a fun hang with friends, and we took advantage of the studio's proximity to all manner of good food options nearby. We came away pleased with our tattoos and impressed by the artists' skills and professionalism, which included immaculate hygiene practices.
