With that being said, I think one of my only more "important" comments, is that if you're a female going to attend a concert that you know is more of a "sold out" kind of situation in terms of attendance, plan your washroom breaks ahead of time as best as possible. I tried my best not to need to use the facilities during our last visit for the Tame Impala concert but when you gotta go, you gotta go! Before I continue, I understand that there are a lot of people and there's only so much the venue could do but I almost wish they had replaced their popcorn stands with extra porta-potties or something. I was in line for the entire intermission of roughly 40-50 minutes and I almost thought the woman ahead of me in line wasn't going to make it based on how she was hopping in place. Meanwhile, our long line went past the men's washroom and we saw them going in and out in two seconds with zero line to wait. A lady who was desperate tried sneaking in to the men's washroom but they had a guard ensuring this wouldn't happen. For safety reasons, I'm glad they do this but it just shows how desperate some people were. So, ladies- let's maybe make a point of going as fast as we can for the sake of others waiting? As I stood in line, my partner was able to go to the washroom, get food, and come find me to wait with me for the remainder of my line time. I ate my hot dogs before I even got to the door opening for the washrooms (where the bathroom line continued with another 30 people that had been hidden from the hallway view). So if you think you're close to having your turn soon as you turn the corner into the hallway from the main area, think again. Besides this, watching a hockey game anywhere else does not compare. The prices for refreshments, food, souvenirs, etc are expensive but that's just the norm these days. I also recommend buying merch as soon as you get there rather than waiting during the intermission of afterwards. As long as you prepare yourself to spend a bit of money, and possibly wait in lines (which are not uncommon at big events), then I promise you, the memories are worth every second.

My butt still hurts after 24 hours! My back was in pain due to lack of back support. Worse than sitting in economy on a Air Transat flight! - Nothing against the stadium but CFL games are SO LONG. Why are there so many commercial breaks? Does this game really need to be 3+ hours long? You play for 1 hour, why am I here for 2 more? You want people to get bored and hungry and pay the 300% mark-ups I bet. Thankfully the walk down the hill when I left early helped leaving this underwhelming experience. I was spending a long weekend in Montreal in early Autumn, when I visited the Parc Olympique. I am…read morea fan of the Olympics and religious about watching the events on TV and when possible attending an event, so I had to at least see the venue. Parc Olympique was the site of the 1976 summer Olympics. These are the Olympic games that propelled Nadia Comaneci to stardom. The venue is known for it's tower which is set at 45 degrees and affords a view of the Montreal skyline. It is 165 meters high. Presently it is closed because of the Covid-19 pandemic. Note that when admission is possible it is closed on Mondays. The cost to climb the tower was $15 and if you add the cost of stadium parking $20 people hesitate to visit. Days when traffic is light you will be able to find street parking close by. Besides climbing the tower you can see the the Olympic size swimming pool which is still used by the Olympic diving and swimming team.. The 5 five rings of the Olympics are still up including the medal stand. The Biodome which replicates the four ecosystems found in the United States requires a separate admission cost. The Planetarium is adjacent to dome is worth seeing. Across the street, Maisonneuve Park is home to the Montreal Botanical Garden and Insectarium. Saputo soccer Stadium can be found here as well. The bottom line is that I would not recommend Parc Olympique for everyone but it was interesting to see for me since it is only a 10 minute drive from downtown Montreal and is a unique dome.

*** This review is again only for the gym/fitness room of the cepsum and not the entire place (does…read morenot include the various squash, volleyball, etc. Rooms and the courses) Over time, the gym at the cepsum has definitely gotten better. The price is still very decent coming to about 15$ a month if you're a student at HEC, Poly or UdeM and you buy the 1 year subscription. They added a new multi room where TRX courses are taught and there's a bunch of cross fit equipment. Usually, the room is closed, but at certain times, those who are the gym membership have access to that room and can take advantage of the different equipment. The gym is fairly clean and even thought it says to wipe the machines, people don't seem to do it very often. You have to have a towel to get in. That's super important or they will deny you entry. Usually, it's pretty busy after 4pm on the weekdays. Before that and all day during the weekends, there's not too many people. I think the biggest upside to the CEPSUM gym is the proximity to the schools and the student discount. It's definitely not worth it if you don't live close and you're not a student/employee of one of the aforementioned establishments.

For a university student, everything is paid for except the gym. The fees are quite affordable compare to many gyms and the place is not always busy. I never reserved the machine I want. The complain I have is for the gym, there are too many cardio machines and not enough weight machines to go around. Overall, this place is pretty great for a sport enthusiasm. I would even describe this place as a god send for the sports athletes.

They have a large number of indoor courts for you to reserve. It will be more expensive than the outdoor courts run by the city but then again their operating costs are higher. Everything about the facilities is beautiful. There is a waiting area with tables and chairs where you can take a break, wait for your reservation or just watch the other matches going on. The locker rooms are spacious and clean. The courts are in good shape and there are nets between each one so if you make a bad stroke your ball won't travel too far. My only complaint is that the air is a little stuffy, but I imagine that it is hard to get proper ventilation in a large, open space such as this one. For those of us who don't want to pay for membership at private tennis clubs Stade IGA offers an excellent alternative to keep playing tennis when the outdoor courts close for the year. It is also well located and can be easily accessed by public transit or car.

We had a mixed experience working with this company to plan our wedding at their Salon Richmond,…read moreand felt it was important to share. On the positive side, the space is stunning and the food was excellent - both were highlights for us. However, our experience on the planning side raised several concerns. Communication and expectations were unclear from the outset. We initially believed we would be working with one team member, but later learned that a different person would be managing our wedding, which was not clearly communicated and created confusion early on. Throughout the process, we found the planner's approach to be rigid and not particularly collaborative. We were open to guidance, but often felt that our preferences were dismissed in favor of doing things a specific way. During our tasting, for example, some of our menu selections (chosen directly from the venue's own offerings) were criticized as not being "classy" or "elegant," which felt inappropriate and unnecessarily condescending. There were also multiple instances that felt unprofessional, including meetings starting late and recurring interruptions during scheduled time together. We also encountered a significant issue regarding payment transparency for a vendor booked through the venue. A deposit we paid was invoiced as a payment toward the band, but was not fully applied as such, and this was not disclosed at the time of payment. The matter was only resolved after escalation. While it is clear that the team is capable of executing events, our experience did not reflect the level of professionalism, transparency, or care that is essential when planning a wedding. A wedding is not just another event, and the planning process requires a level of respect, communication, and client focus that we did not consistently experience here. Due to these concerns, we ultimately chose to move forward with a different venue, as we did not feel confident continuing with the planning process. Based on our experience, we would not recommend this venue for weddings. Couples should proceed with caution and ensure they have a clear, documented understanding of vendor payments, responsibilities, and expectations before committing!
