We were there to get my necklace cleaned and checked up for the warranty and while we were already…read moreat the mall. I've had extended warranty on my necklace for over 2 years and have had 2 repairs done on it since. When we walked in we were greeted by Pat who immediately started pushing a thicker chain on us for the necklace. She then proceeded to tell us we do not have the warranty on the necklace and I should not have had my repairs done at no cost. She became very defensive towards me and made me feel like a liar. I kept trying to give the details of when I got the warranty and express my confusion over why it's been fixed 2 previous times then. She just continued to argue with me and tell me she already told me. I expressed I would be looking elsewhere for future jewelry and she snapped back at me saying I would have the same problem elsewhere and would need warranty. Again, I already had the warranty but she claimed I did not. She then calls her manager over, Ernie and told me he would tell me the same thing she's been telling me. He came over and we explained our confusion and concerns about the warranty. He went and looked up the store we had bought the warranty from and was able to find out we did in fact have it. He was very respectful and professional in a stressful situation. Pat then came back from cleaning the necklace and her whole attitude towards us changed because she knew she was wrong when it was in fact true we had the warranty. They are pushy and rude at this location. Go to Zales downstairs at the mall if you're looking for better customer service and care. Don't waste your time with Kay especially if you get Pat as your sales rep.
