My favorite place to drop off items that are in good shape while de-cluttering my home and most of all helping the four legged friends. FAAR rescues those dogs and cats that are on the list for euthanasia. Their staff is friendly and caring and your donations go to a worthwhile cause. Marti H. read more

FAAR Thrift Store is a great place to drop (donate) and shop! I usually go there once a week. The profits go to wonderful causes. Many animals lives have been saved as they have become pets instead of being euthanized. Thank you FAAR for all you do to save lives. read more

I went there for the first time yesterday (1/2/26.) The staff is friendly. Lots of great items. Great prices! I picked up two crystal ashtrays to use as candle holders, a cute mug, and a vintage candy dish. I will definitely be back. read more

Literally can't get enough of this place! I live down the street and I come a few times a week. I'm a teacher and have decorated my class with items from here. However I have also gotten so many amazing finds for my own home. I especially love the color of the week and discount days. read more

Foster Army Animal Rescue Thrift Store is a wonderful shop with a "thriftique" vibe. There are both items which could be found in an antique store, as well as some basic items at a bargain price. If you sign up for the email, you are notified what will be on sale the next day. There are pet items for sale, and several days a month there are adoption events. Yes, there is no public restroom but if you ask, the person at the register will direct you to nearby shops which do have public restrooms, including one shop just behind FAAR. Do go in and check out the shop as the proceeds go towards the care of animals rescued from Animal Services. read more

I have since shopped the store, fostered rescues, adopted from them, and volunteered inside the thrift store, as well as at special events. If you haven't stopped by, I encourage you to do so. This is a hidden gem, that raises money for a good cause. The volunteers are nice, space is open and kept tidy, prices for most things are very reasonable. I took donations and it was a smooth easy drop off and I got a receipt. I highly reccomend. read more

Good friend's dog passed away. We donated $50 each. Got a computerized "thank you" receipt. Put in comments about doing it "in memory of", but that didn't show on receipt. Nothing nice to give/print out to bereaved. EDIT: Giving 5 stars. Received 2 communications via email and response here. Due to personal situations, I have been unable to respond. I love this thrift store!! The items are affordable, and they always have something on sale! The staff and volunteers are friendly, knowledgeable, and willing to jump in and help wherever needed. The mission of this organization is what they are all about, save the animals who are most vulnerable! Please know that the animals in their care are top priority. Easy parking, great selection, excellent prices, helpful staff, nicely organized, and for a good cause. It's the perfect experience. As soon as I walked in, I was greeted and informed of the day's barb color discounts. It's cute inside. They were playing Ella Fitzgerald. There was no junk anywhere. I had just come from another shop that was a disappointment, so I was so happy to be in the midst of a well-kept and well-priced collection. There's a flat price depending on the commodity (unless otherwise priced). I think $4.50/piece for adult clothing is a remarkably good deal and it's smart for a smaller shop to price like this to keep donations flowing, keep stock fresh and make sure their regulars see something different every time they come in. That's how you keep someone like me coming back. I can tell they take great care in displaying items, prices, and also testing the quality of items before they're placed on the floor. They even test their pens! I've never seen a thrift store test pens but I LOVE that. The books and records are organized by genre--this is also impressive. They have a bit of a boutique area going on at the counter in several display cases and there was always someone available to bring out boutique items for a customer to see. A special feature not found at other shops is the Holding Area. This is a bookcase customers are free to use to hold the items they plan to buy while they are still shopping. Any store that isn't large enough for you to push a cart around should offer this! I ended up buying a few jackets, a dress, a book, and a necklace for around $22 total. I'd be happy to continue shopping here. read more

My 15yr son decided to venture out and go look at this thrift store, since he had purchased clothing there before. He was not treated very well. Every piece of clothing he showed interest in was promptly taken away. He found a sweatshirt that he wanted to purchase and he was 99 cents short and they would not sell it to him, what's worse is that it was taken away and put in the back. By the time he called me to take him the money that he was short, the sweatshirt was nowhere to be found. When I called to complain, the woman told me that they get a lot of homeless in the store. My son does not look like a homeless person, he is vey clean cut and respectful. Needless to say I will not be back. That is no way to treat young people or to run a thrift shop where things are donated!!! read more

Looking for it, driving around, we had a hard time finding it, because it didn't look like typical thrift store, but more like a cute little bitsy upscale boutique. The employees were so friendly and they had lots of cute decor, clothing, linens bedding, pet stuff, etc. Prices vary with discounts applied. Please keep in mind it goes to a good cause & being a mom of two rescues, my heart goes out to what they do to find these sweet babies new homes. I will definitely be back! read more

I thought it'd be a good thing to adopt from here...boy was I wrong. Their website has little information on the adoption process, and when you try to email them to get clarifications, you get very unhelpful rude replies. I understand that they're hardworking volunteers, and they like to emphasize on that point as an excuse for their lack of professionalism, but they really act like you're ruining their day by wanting to adopt from them. Communicating with them turned out to be an unnecessary added stress, I wish their animals and mission all the best, but I regret ever reaching out to them. read more

It's not the most well organized store and it's a little overwhelming with all the stuff they have crammed in there but if you're willing to dig through stuff I'm sure there's a gem to be found. Some of the staff here give off a very unfriendly vibe. The last time I went they refused to let my 3 year old granddaughter use the bathroom even though it was an emergency. I was shocked they were unwilling to help a child. read more
