I Love this Savers location. I've been here maybe about three times now and I always happen to find cottage core home decor items, which is what I mostly thrift for. Savers is known for over pricing some stuff, but in my opinion for the things that I look for resellers and scalpers sell for way way more for very hard to find items so I don't mind paying these prices for items that I'm looking for. But again, I'm not buying things from target, Hobby lobby or anything like that I'm genuinely thrifting for more vintage items and the pricing is very worth it. read more

I am writing this review @ August 2026, Savers Was a Real Save money Trift Store, Now with the new manager (Young Man) who is pricing on the floor the items, is stupid, a Shirt in $ 64,99 they are really insane, Clothes that are DONATED, They have lost the true meaning of a non-profit organization and have transformed it into a store that sells useless things at ridiculous prices. Worse yet, with bad tempers and a bad attitude like that of that rude person who told me he was the manager--though I don't think he was, I am omitting his name for obvious reasons. All thrift stores are getting out of control, but savers is the worst of them. It's so close to me that I still go from time to time just to see if I can find something good, but I definitely won't be going back. Over and over I find things from the dollar tree that they're selling for 3.29 or even close to $4. If the item has new tags, they jack up the price for more than what it's worth. I hope they know how much money they're losing for refusing to price their items fairly. There's so many things that I would've bought and I didn't because they were overpriced. Don't donate to this location. They are a for profit corporation that spends no money on inventory and sells it for more than it's worth brand new. At this point, I won't go back there to shop, but I will go back to take pictures and let everyone know to not waste their money at this store. Ps. With the outrageous prices the thrift stores charged nowadays, you're better off going to an antique store. They have more curated pieces, vintage and durable stuff and most of it is in working condition or undamaged. I find myself going to antique stores more and more. Comparing to the prices that thrifts used to charge back in the day, I would say antique stores are slightly more expensive. But, the way the pricing is now, you would probably find much better pieces than the trash savers sells for equal pricing. read more

I love thrift shopping because you never know what you can find. With this being said I went here tonight not knowing what we would find. We had been looking for a lab coat for a long time. Out of nowhere tonight we came across one for about six dollars. It was in perfect condition. This Savers carry's a little bit of everything from books, movies, electronics, kitchen equipment, home goods, clothes for everyone and toys. They also have a section with higher priced items that are locked up. The employees are not very personable but they do their job. All in all it is great place to possibly find some great stuff. It can be a little sketchy outside with the amount of homeless people that hang around the area. But from what I've seen they seem not to bother people too much. Just be aware of your surroundings. read more

I love visiting the savers on Tyler Street in Riverside. I love going down the aisles and finding items that I could use for my home or myself or I can repurpose. The aisles are wide and the store is very clean. The prices currently are a bit pricey but if you sign up for their savers club, you can get discounts in your email. TIP: if you donate bags of items they give you a coupon. Definitely take advantage of those two tips and go have some fun thrifting read more

Although this has been my "go to" store for years, today has definitely become the day that I've altered my perspective on Savers in Riverside. Far from disability friendly, and a total lack of patience, empathy and understanding for the disabled. Incredibly shitty demeanor of an associate who was so utterly rude it was shocking and atrocious. Not really worth spending tons of $$ at a store where you feel scrutinized or discriminated against. This place used to be so fun to shop in. I use a backpack for a purse on busy weekends. the manager there now has a policy that I can't bring it in. The security guard actually told me I have to hold my wallet phone and everything else in my purse / backpack in my hands or give them to my children to hold while I shop, and my backpack has to be stored in a locker. I don't see a difference between a large purse or bag and a backpack. The backpack just has 2 straps for your back. We left. Will probably not be back for some time if ever. read more

I have never given a one star review before today. The sales staff, I would give a five star review to and the organization and cleanliness of the store I would give four stars . But, Savers is a for-profit company with most items overpriced. Only 5% to 17% of their revenue goes towards charity. The reason I'm putting this review is because their prices just keep going up. I know that prices are going up everywhere but it is ridiculous what they are charging for items knowing that so much is donated. I find used Items on their racks that cost more than if you had purchased them new at Marshalls or Ross or on sale at other stores. Please donate your items to other organizations that actually making a charitable difference to those in while offering folks an opportunity to buy items at good price prices. I just left the store and I found so many basic dresses at $16-$21. No way! read more

Ahhh, when you walk in you're instantly greeted by the good vintage smells. You know, the wee bit musty smell that reminds you of your grandparents house or an attic. There's that slight hint of cigarette smoke from a party...or even from a life well-lived. ANYWAY this Savers spot is pretty spacious, cool and organized. Items are well organized by sizes, which helps when thrifting. I was on a mission to find household stuff for my plants, but found other things that I couldn't pass up. Employees here are very friendly and attentive. BUT certain things here were marked up more than what they should have been. (E.g. a 99 cent store pot for $1.99 was marked up to $4.99 and a $5 Target item was marked up to $6.99???!) I would peel off the sticker prices to make sure the sticker isn't hiding any cracks or damages on the product. You won't really notice this until you peel it off at home. I shop here a few times a month, and trip out on all the flippers I see. This store is always poppin' and yet I still usually find items to take home with me. It's very common to hear newbies talking out loud about the deals they're scoring or even talking to a staff member about how much $ they're gonna make when they flip a certain item that Savers has priced low enough. I've been thrifting for 30 years and get lots of entertainment from shopping here and observing. Yes, prices keep going up, and flippers "ruin" the availability of things I have collected for ages, but that's all part of the experience. Also, Savers plays fantastic music to shop to. And they give you a 20% off coupon when you drop off donations. read more

I've never seen a bad Savers location. 30 years ago I shopped at Savers in San Jose. I was delighted to find Savers down here in SoCal. There's one in Fountain Valley (great), one in Yorba Linda (very good), and this one in Riverside (also very good). I shop for books, board games, clothes, shoes, and knickknacks. I've found decent used golf clubs (you need to get lucky) too. You need to remember: it's a thrift store, so you must go often to find the treasures. A generous donation gets you a 20% off coupon. I used to love to shop at savers, I used to spend hundreds and hundreds of dollars at this store if you would look up my number you would see I spent thousands but the customer service is so disgusting. It's absolutely unbelievable. It's 753 and I'm just leaving. I haven't been here in so long. I've spent $150 and just before I went to go pay there is this associate she doesn't know that I picked up a garment and I put it on top of a rack so she wants me to go and take it to the register and I told her no she goes. Excuse me I want you to take it to the register and I told her no you do it so she got upset because I didn't take the item to the register while I was shopping so she started to slam the Hangers and threw the item on the floor very aggressive so then I proceed to go check out and I asked who's in charge and then so it was Nathaniel. I told Nathaniel about it and he totally brushed me off and Cited with the employee when her actions were horrible and then I asked for the associates name that I would be leaving a review regarding what had happen said get out of the store get out and he was kicking me out basically yelling at me in front of everybody because I asked for the associate name. I directly asked her for her name and she denied to give it to me. She is a heavyset woman with red hair she said she didn't have to give it to me so Nathaniel goes in front of her for who knows for what reason continues to shout get out of the store get out of the store so unprofessional unbelievable I just asked for her name The way that Nathaniel handled it was very unprofessional as a manager. i come here often and i hate it more and more every-time. To start this off keep in mind everything they get is FREE! They price things extremely high, fake prada at 100$ and damaged "vintage" barbie for 20$ is crazy. the pants here are usually damaged a little or smell but they still price every pair 10-20$ so yeah good luck selling anything. even the vhs and cds are a 2-3$, insane only because the other savers i have visited have them at 1$. I stopped shopping here because for some reason during the fall and winter, savers does not put out any women's tank tops/camis which is ridiculous considering we live in California so it's not cold here, and I know people are donating those items so why are they not putting them out? Another thing is how ridiculously expensive this thrift is despite getting all their inventory for FREE. The lowest they mark the fast fashion brand SHEIN is $9 which is insane considering SHEIN tops cost no more than $4. I'm not sure who marks the prices but it's extremely greedy, especially in the shoe & bag section. Bags are no less than $12 and the fake designer bags which aren't even authenticated, they have listed for $60+ ?!! Shoes as well range from $12-$50 which is another insane thing to think about because I can buy a new pair for $15 at Walmart. The pants all cost more than $14 and range to $25. 1 item at the thrift shouldn't cost that much. Thrifting is meant to be affordable, especially for people who cannot buy clothes at regular retail prices! Savers needs to lower their prices by 50% at LEAST & not overcharge for items that aren't worth much, considering they are also worn and used!! Tops should be no more than $5, pants shouldn't be more than $10, shoes shouldn't be more than $10 !!! Savers stop being greedy!! You get these items for FREE!!! read more

Lovely staff! If not for them and the well organized inventory, this would be a 1 star review. That said, the prices here, especially on clothing, were rising and continue to do so beyond reason. The other day I found three items that had Ross or other store tags that had lower prices than what Savers was asking by several dollars. I know inflation is hitting everyone, but it's so frustrating when you find a cool item and the price is so thrift store inappropriate. I recently found out that they are a for-profit store. This knowledge, along with their high prices means I will not be donating to Savers anymore. Even though when you donate you get a 20% off coupon, the discount does not make up for the higher prices. She looks so miserable. I went to exchange a few brand new pants I bought from another Savers store. Tags were on and everything. The pants were in a bag so the tags tugged from being in the bag. I had to literally show her as she was accusing of the tags being mishandled. They were not! I've shopped at other stores and never had this issue! I used to shop at Savers all the time but now, I think I'll just go to a retail store instead. Riverside location on Saturday 8/3/24 with a Suburban full of donations. Upon getting there we parked in the handicap space (we have a DP plate) my husband had to unload everything by himself. While he was unloading, a young woman pulled up along side of us & before she even got out of her car an employee was there to greet her and help her with her bag of donations. While my husband was STILL unloading our vehicle. The best thing I can say about this experience is that when he was done he got "Here is your coupon for 20%off" gee thanks *note to self.
