During that time, my friend had to take her young daughter to the restroom. Considering this was a children's event, we assumed that stepping away briefly for a bathroom break would be understandable. However, when they returned, they were not allowed back inside, which was extremely frustrating and disappointing. We had also planned to purchase a Giant Bartholomew Bear priced at $1,045. While the bear was available for sale, we were informed that we could not take it home until 5:00 PM. We explained that we live on the other side of town and would not be able to return later in the day, but no exception was offered. It was surprising that a customer willing to make such a significant purchase was not given any accommodation. Additionally, gifts were advertised for the first 25 attendees. Many of those gifts appeared to be distributed to children under two years old, which made the process feel poorly organized and unfair to others who had waited in line specifically for the event. Overall, the experience was disappointing from start to finish. We woke up early, waited for over an hour, traveled across town, and arrived genuinely excited to participate. Instead, we left feeling frustrated and unwelcome. If this event is going to be hosted again next year in partnership with Jellycat, I strongly encourage the organizers to reconsider their policies regarding restroom breaks, customer accommodations, event logistics, and gift distribution to create a better experience for attendees.

I actually think I was here the last time I was in Scottsdale several years ago but I didn't Yelp it so who can say? Regardless, Mom found some things that she could not leave Arizona without and I picked up some candy for the office and prickly pear honey for my employees. While there Mom tried on some cowboy hats and honestly should have just bought one, but she's never been a hat person. Staff were very friendly and welcoming, from the moment we walked in the door to the checkout process, which is always nice to see--so many souvenir shops have staff that are as likely to stab you as they are to help you. The prices really run the gamut and I suspect some items are priced as loss leaders for others, so just choose wisely and you won't go wrong with your finds at Kactus Jock.

How about "no worries lets get you something else" THE RESPONSE elicits how a customer feels, responds, and maybe reviews on platforms that have a big influence on diners, shoppers etc. The owner called me out on my review saying I was threatening yelling, and scaring the employees. I am 70 and injured with a smashed shoulder, four broken ribs and a brain bleed. The last time I yelled at any employee was probably 1980. And I am harmless - never did that. The owner is a FIRE STARTER and would do better with people if she was an Amazon Warehouse worker and not a front facing small business owner. This is a bad ending and the fire will burn because she is a fire starter. BAD ENDING FOR HER and the fire is going to burn.

Staff were friendly and nice. After perusing the goods, I decided on a pair of earrings that I had seen. Naturally, they were on the bottom near the ground. I like that they have a clearance table, and they have a few fun little toys and candies too. Their selection of individual cards was quite nice, and the whole vibe of the store was inviting and comfortable. The place was clean, well lit, vibrantly colored, and the young woman who rung up my purchase was friendly and polite. I spent about $80 on two books, one fancy sticky note pad, one ultra fancy card, and a clearance journal. So... more than I intended to spend today, but since they were all gifts, it felt easier to justify. I also found out Paper Source is connected to (owned by? part of?) Barnes and Noble, which I hadn't realized before. Anyway, or was a fun shop and I'd stop in again if I need a gift.
