The finishes on the furniture were beautiful and the hardware choices especially stood out. Among all the furniture there are smaller vintage pieces like bookends and knickknacks and wall art. I just happened to be in the area and stopped in not really knowing what to expect. Well, Twigs and Twine did not disappoint! I spied this fabulous couch in the front corner and almost cried seeing the Sold sign on it. It was exactly what I was looking for and thankfully Mark was able to order another from the factory. Jill texted me on a Sunday to let me know it would only take a week to get so I completed the order and now it sits in my living room! I love the fabric, comfort and the adjustable seat backs which makes for a very deep seat if I want that. Their delivery guys were top notch too. What a delightful store! The cutest vintage furniture shop with some great treasures. I found this place on Instagram and love their vibe. I needed a dresser and after lots of online window shopping I decided this place was worth visiting in person. They post new finds online, lots of colorful pieces and I loved everything the moment I stepped inside. When I walked in i was excited to see several pieces that could work, I checked drawers and measurements. I fell in love with three and narrowed down my options to the one with the deepest drawers and the cool metal hardware. I alerted the very friendly salesman that I found what I needed, he marked it sold so i could continue shopping. I loved several other pieces, like that wood & metal plant stand with cubbies, the orange velvet sofa and the owl light switch plate, maybe next time. The plants, colors and textures, the eclectic layout, the colorful painted wall mural it all worked. I will continue to stalk their Instagram and when I'm ready for another treasure I'll head here first. So many pieces were beautiful online and so much better in person. Twigs and Twine is my favorite furniture shop in Phoenix. I have recommended it to people so many times. The owners have great taste and only select pieces that are stylish but also classic. There's never been anything in their store I would consider ugly. The furniture pieces are vintage or vintage-looking. They post available pieces on their Instagram all the time and you can purchase by phone so if you don't have time or ability to shop in person then you don't have to! You can also bring your own furniture in and they will refinish it for you. Delivery fees are really reasonable. If I remember correctly it was a $20 delivery fee to Tempe. read more

I have been to this store three times and have never been greeted or asked if I needed help. During one of my visits the staff (one was a woman and I believe is the manager) was moving furniture around the store. The woman was physically moving the furniture around me but couldn't bother to say a word. Not even "excuse me" as she was passing by. Every time I have been to twigs and twine I consistently see this same woman asking other customers, who happen to be white women, if they need assistance. I have seen her laugh and joke with patrons, and be generally friendly. But every single time I enter the store I'm greeted with a frown and ignored. It's giving racists vibes and I won't be returning. read more

Twigs and Twine took a very dated, early 2000s bedroom set and made it GORGEOUS! I loved the shape of the pieces, and it fit in my space perfectly, but the wood was tired. I hate leaving bad reviews and I rarely do but I've had such a horrible experience I just can't let anyone make the same mistake I did. About 3 weeks ago I ordered chairs for my patio. We picked the Boho Ring chairs up (which are honestly a more worn looking in real life even though they're new...maybe that's just the look?) and put them on our patio. Everything was great until - the rain. These chairs rust HORRIBLY. Even if it's not raining and there's just moisture in the air they will rust. It was then we realized that they were made from unfinished metal and no treatment had been done on them whatsoever. I was devastated as I had spent over $1,000 on them. To make matters worse they rusted onto our brand new travertine and we have 16 VERY noticeable rust marks on something we paid $7,000 to install only a few weeks prior. Being a small business owner myself I reached out to the owner (or whoever sold me the chairs) and told her the situation hoping that we could come to some sort of solution (partial refund...something?) got nothing but a "...sorry that they rusted. I didn't realize it was unfinished." I feel so sick to my stomach and I'm so off-put with their "tough luck" response especially since it's THEIR product and even more upset that they profited off of this horrible situation. read more

I LOVE this store. I discovered it through some postings on craigslist, and decided to go take a look in person. I was so happy I did! the prices are VERY reasonable and the refinishing work the owner and her husband do is very well done. All the pieces they carry are solid wood, sturdy and in great condition. I bought a dresser/credenza for our living room and couldn't be happier. I love the variation of style too, a lot of mid century as well as some great pieces that are refinished to feel more modern. Not distressed or rustic or shabby chic--which is just not my personal style. Delivery was also reasonable and fast, they delivered my dresser today and I just bought it yesterday! It was very easy-the owner texted me to set up a time and let me know when it had been delivered (our nanny was there, while I was at work--another plus that they were totally fine with this!). I will most definitely be back for great furniture pieces and accessories. They have unique finds here from the Rat Pack days as well as custom-made options for that new mid-century modern look. I was hesitant to write a review on Twigs n Twine because I consider it my hidden gem. The secret spot for that cool conversation piece I have in my place. The era this shop deals in is a bit mixed, but it does lean towards mid century. The owners, a great married couple, also do cool wooden art and great custom vintage furniture. Each time I'm in, I've been able to find a great gem for an absolutely great price. You almost want to keep this shop all to yourself. I found them through an ad on Craigslist for a bookshelf that seemed almost too good to be true. I went in and came out with a truck loaded. I pop in every now and then to check out what kind of things they have that week because inventory will change often. Another great, locally owned spot with some really neat stuff! read more

We recently moved to Phoenix and believe me, we have been to every furniture store you can imagine- new, old, antique, thrift, wholesale, estate sales and BY FAR Twigs and Twine has the best pieces with the best prices! Its perfectly curated with a nice range of style and you can find everything from small home accessories to larger pieces, like the incredible mid-century modern credenza we picked up today! Its inevitable that every time we walk in we find a few tchotchkes that we never new we "needed" but the prices are great so no need to feel guilty for the extra spend. Wow, Twigs and Twine is by far our new favorite place to look for restored furniture. The quality of their stuff is fantastic, and their painting schemes were perfect. If you don't like it, you can always have them repaint it, and they will custom paint stuff you already have. Everything in here was extremely affordable for the quality you're receiving. New stuff from retail stores is usually boring and you have to pay extra for them to make it look used! Worst part, you support corrupt overseas governments and the top % earners in America. Hippy rant over, I love supporting local businesses like this. Their delivery and custom painting prices are also a lot lower than we were expecting. So glad we found this place, we will be back soon and often. Also, they don't have a website as far as I could find, but I suggest following their facebook page. We saw a few things posted just days before we visited, and they already had sold tags on them! Talked to the guy in the store and he says a lot of stuff goes fast. I had been looking months for a comfortable special chair for my lounge. (ok, it's really a second bedroom, but for me, it's a "lounge") Shout out to my sweet wife for her facilitation! It's not a cave, it's A Lounge...Anyway, after way too much time I visited Brittany at Twigs and Twine and there it was. The doorway to the lounge is roughly 28", so not only did the chair fit through, BUT, also is supremely comfortable. Thank you, Brittany for being there. I'll be back, for sure.
