Nice little spot to grab a cup. I'm not sure what blend they have on tap for their drip coffee but it is what I love. Smooth, rich and without bitterness or aftertaste. Big windows facing busy College street, and limited seating, but comfortable and relaxing. It would be easy to hang out here for as long as you can. read more

Owners did an amazing job decorating the place yet keeping it clean and simple - with a few artworks made by one of the owners himself and some conceptually designer coffee tables. Simple layout, minimal furnishings, but spacious and open with lots of natural light. If you're looking for a minimalistic space to meet a friend, grab some java, or get some work done in peace, this is your spot. Hopper Coffee is a lot quieter than coffee shops actually in Kensington Market (read: it's less popular, for now), so is a good alternative if you're in the area. I'm giving it 3 stars because I'm not a fan of acidic tasting coffee, which this was. Even with the almond milk, I found the overall sourness to be overwhelming. They also sell food - avo toast and steel cut oats. And there's free wifi. read more

This place is a nice gem I just found recently. The music is nice and low volume so you can read peacefully or use your laptop. The coffee is on the fruity side which I personally prefer. The croissant was also fantastic. read more

Hands down my favourite coffee in Toronto!! The espresso is so so smooth and luscious . I've introduced so many friends to this very unassuming little place, and I have yet to meet one who has not loved their coffee. Its an incredibly simple menu, but not much else is needed as their main focus is their great coffee. Definitely not a place to study/work for a long time as they do not have proper tables. They have benches lined around the side of a wall with cushions and cute little tea tables resembling campbell's soup cans. They also feature some beautiful modern art on the wall. I highly recommend this place to all levels of coffee drinkers. If you didn't like coffee before, you will once you try hopper's. read more

Clean, minimalist, airy. I like the chilled vibe here and their pastries and beverages are top notch. White walls, Edison bulbs, you know the drill. Not one of those hang out and work kinda places, more of a grab and go spot. However, if you come here on a sunny morning or afternoon that's not too busy it's wonderful to sit by the window and people watch on College St. Beats the Kensington market claustrophobia. read more

Ok, this is one of the coolest coffee shops in town. it is super duper clean place and the ambiance is impeccable. You pop in, and when you place an order, the guy behind the counter scoops some fresh coffee beans, weighs and grinds it right before you and brews your coffee in less than 3mins. The coffee is fresh and tasty, you want to customize it to your taste no problem, its just super duper cool just the way I can imagine the folks at Starbucks started out. read more

Wonderful, high quality coffee served by equally wonderful and genuine people. I've been to a fair share of coffee shops in Toronto, and this one is easily my favourite. I've even recommended Hopper to multiple colleagues (as I work in the area), who have all enjoyed it (many of which now go multiple times per week). I personally enjoy their flat white and cappuccino, but if you're not an avid coffee drinker, their chai tea latte is excellent. The interior has ample natural light, a long wall bench with pillows, fun "Campbell's soup" inspired tables, and funky wall art.
