I can tell vendors were "pulling out". But things kinda (?) changed here . They now are back to being FULL again however - but all the prices are very high now! The dealers here seem to do what ALL DOPEY ANTIQUE DEALERSHIPS do : They blindly look up prices on ebay or the internet . This is not a good practice because PRICES ARE FLUID on collectibles and antiques. Always were , always will be. Again, it's all about not caring / not wanting to "move things along" - this is what retired vendors & dealers do. They probably have a pension check coming in and don't REALLY need the extra money. The staff here was less than helpful, less than friendly , less than knowledgeable and now sit "Floyd's Baber Shop" style with a round kitchen table in the middle of the store -- and you can hear all their takes on recent current events and the news . Oh wonderful ! I did buy a few OK / lower priced things here but I hope the dealers involved can get their act together and lower some of the stupid old fashioned prices on junk like Flintstones jelly glasses and old magazines that are collecting dust . (Crazy Prices of note: One average fashion magazine from the 1960s -- it was Vogue or something- was marked $75.00 . So it clearly was somebody looking up internet prices - saw one rare issue of Italian Vogue - either sold or was merely asking for $75.00 - and bingo : he thinks his is ALSO worth $75.00 ). Stupid.

Too bad there is zero stars…read more I purchased a PoE Network switch from William Werner. He shipped me the wrong model (a NON-PoE switch which was useless to me). In trying to work out the issue, he asked I return ship it to him, but did not reimburse my shipping costs (cost $53 to return ship this big heavy switch) even though it was 100% HIS error. I know we all make mistakes, but William took zero accountability for this issue, and despite my purchase being done in good faith, he took took advantage of my purchase not being local, and avoided all communication. So, when he gets a zero when it comes to integrity, business ethics and a zero when it comes to customer service.

Extremely disappointing experience with The RealReal, terrible customer service…read more I've had an incredibly frustrating experience selling with The RealReal, and the lack of communication and customer service has been unacceptable. * I never received the email confirmation that I was told I would receive. * I couldn't see the listing on the app and had no clear way of knowing what was happening with my items. * We almost missed out on the $200 promotional credit we were supposed to receive. The credit was never added to the account until I specifically asked about it. If I hadn't followed up, we likely would have lost out on the promotion. * I spoke with Tatiana, and she was extremely unhelpful and had a major attitude. She refused to assist me because I wasn't calling from my girlfriend's phone and seemed completely unwilling to actually help resolve the issue. I eventually had to speak with someone else before I could get assistance. * I received a check for only $4.60 for an $85.50 pair of Yeezys. I was never clearly informed that I would receive only around 20% of the sale price. * I was transferred 10 times and had to repeatedly explain my situation to different people. Nobody seemed willing to take ownership of the problem. * The only positive customer service experience I had was with Julian, who actually took the time to listen and help me. Overall, this has been a terrible experience from beginning to end. The communication is poor, the promotional credit was not properly applied, the payout was extremely disappointing, and getting basic customer service required multiple calls and transfers. Julian was the one exception and deserves recognition for actually helping. Unfortunately, one helpful employee does not make up for the overall experience. I would not recommend The RealReal to anyone looking to sell their items.

I would say that the pricing is possibly inflated due to the fact that they need to make a profit. Some of the things in their shop I've seen sold on Amazon.com and Etsy. I do hope that some of the finer things like their pillows, jewelry and scarves selection is made by local artisans. The lady who works there used to be a customer there and she loves it. She knows about every piece in the shop and can help if there is something specific you're looking for. Sometimes they have sales which might be out on the back patio. She's careful to travel back and forth through the shop to check on things and customers too. She's really nice and friendly too! Happy shops!
