It's eaten just like the Yan Yan snack found in grocery stores. Flavor is basically a glazed donut with chocolate around halfway until the bottom. It was just okay since it was really simple. With coffee, it probably wouldn't matter as much since you'd be mixing semi-sweet with some strong and bitter coffee.

Admittedly, I have not tried out Dunkin Donut's sandwiches until very recently. To be honest, I actually only got to try it out this morning. Hahaha! I went to lunch at Dunkin Donuts' branch here at Buayang Bato in Mandaluyong City. I believe this is the donut magnate's official factory that's why this particular branch is larger than most other Dunkin Donut's. Entering the bakery, your noses get an assault of coffee and freshly baked donuts. Definitely NOT complaining! It's a welcome scent for someone who's been stuck in the office whole morning. The store offers a lot of different flavoured donuts. They even have a variety of flavoured Munchkins - ones I actually have not heard of (Jamocha Munckins, anyone?) Because Dunkin doesn't serve rice meals, I tried out one of their sandwiches instead. I ordered their Mushroom and Cheese in Brown Bread, and was very pleasantly surprised. The simple combination of mushrooms and cheese on brown bread is a delicious and filling lunch. For 75 pesos, I was very satisfied. On another note though, their coffee at this particular branch is pretty strong. Think barako coffee with a spoon of milk and a ton of ice. My friends didn't particularly love their caffeinated drinks so I guess you can order your cup of Joe at another café.

My favorite flavors were the Mr. Green T and the Chocolate Caviar Strawberry. Their donuts are more on the dense side, but still flavorful and yummy. I also ordered the mango peach iced tea, which was refreshing. Overall, a great place for donuts!!!

I was very much surprised at how calm it was and it wasn't as packed as I've seen the mall since I landed. Upon walking in, the staff were really friendly and answered all my questions, mainly me asking if they had almond milk... unfortunately, they didn't so I kept on ordering espresso double shots everywhere we went. I ordered a double shot espresso and it came with a regular sugar donut. I also ordered a matcha green tea donut but I wasn't able to eat it b/c I was eating too many sweets after our time here. -------------- Then my family and I came here again when we were shopping for stuff to bring back home and we all needed a caffeine boost. The server that helped me out was working again and she greeted me b/c she remembered me... and it was really sweet of her. I bought the orange cup and saucer combo and the friendly server went beyond her call of duty and packed that cup and saucer thoroughly. I was really impressed and no cracks when I opened it back here. Overall, the main story: friendly staff and good donuts. Not too sweet but just right. If you have a sweet tooth... well worth checking out! To the management: well done on your staff being helpful and friendly.

The bread is light and airy and doesn't taste too oily. I feel like they put a bit more sugar in their yeast dough so the bread by itself is yummy. I've been traveling back and forth to the Philippines the last several years to visit my parents. Each time, this is one of the places I have to hit... Their donuts are yummy. The donut names have a fun twist to common Hollywood names. For example: Alcapone, Jacky Chunk, Avocado DiCaprio, Berry Spears, Blue Barrymore, Snow Ice, etc. I've tried all/most of them, but I forget all of them now. I'll list my favorites: Alcapone: It's a donut dipped in white chocolate and toasted almonds. Not too sweet and the toasted almonds give it a good balance. (4.5 stars) Caviar Chocolate: It's a donut dipped in hazelnut chocolate topped with chocolate crispies. The chocolate crispies are a fun texture. It's like biting into a donut Crunch bar. Caviar Strawberry: Same as Caviar Chocolate, except it's dipped in a strawberry white chocolate glaze. Yummers for the strawberry flavor lovers. The chocolate pairing makes it yummy yummy to the tummy! Mr Green Tea: Donut dipped in green tea chocolate with toasted almonds. If you like green tea, you'll like this one! I like getting the J. Pops because it's like bite size pieces. This is great if you want to sample different flavors without committing to all the calories. But damn...it's so dang hot in the Philippines and you'll probably do a lot of walking anyway, so "donut" let it bother you! #parumpum So try it, then message me to let me know how you like it. You're welcome...

During a general assembly for one of my college organizations last year, we were given a free sample of a dark chocolate bacon-flavored doughnut. I didn't know what to expect. I thought it would be disgusting to mix something greasy and salty with something as sweet as chocolate. When I finally took a bite, I felt like I was in heaven. Who knew that a combination of bacon and chocolate would actually taste good? The moment I tasted that doughnut I immediately went to the Gavino's branch in SM Megamall a week later to check what other amazing pastries it has to offer. When I checked their menu, I noticed their famous Mochi Rings, which is a combination of Japanese mochi and doughnut. They also sell milk tea, coffee, and mochi balls, in case you're not in the mood to eat some doughnuts.

As with any donut shop, I test just how good their product is by getting the classic glazed version. And theirs did not disappoint. Minus all the other ingredients you get to sample the base donut with a hint of sweetness. You bite into it and everything just seems to align -- it's gooey and chewy but a few bites more and you'll notice how it starts to melt in your mouth. I don't even know how it's possible to combine those two textures but they did. And it is really sinfully good. I love their unique flavors such as cinnamon sugar, sour cream, red velvet pistachio and the peanut butter and jelly mochi ball. Classic flavors are P33 each and Premium ones are P43 a piece. You can get them in boxes of 6, 12 or 24 and assorted. Don't miss out on trying this one, it really is one of the better donuts out there today.
