But I've always had people who are engineering and car types who I check with to make sure what's being recommended, done and charged makes sense. So the fact I've trusted Sherlock's for 18 years should tell you something. Many times I've prepared myself for diagnostic bad news, only to be told it's nothing...or nothing very costly. It's great to have finally found a business that wants customers with who value their approach of building trust and relationships. That's exactly what I want. Friends and family have become long-time customers as well, as a result of good word of mouth.

However if you love spending tons of money to be gaslight, and argue, this might be the place for you! If you're really into 400% markups on parts you could have sourced yourself, and in fact they just replaced the part you told them you already replaced then boy is this place gonna tickle your pickle! And if that warranty they promised on parts you overpaid for sounds good, wait until you call them When your issue continues. Such a valuable Incredible business model, get paid up front for replacing parts that are not part of the major issuee, Then when said major issues continue You get to argue with them and then they could get even more money to completely redo the process that should Have been addressed in the first place! Guys just go somewhere else.

*** Do not take your car to this and all Mr. Lube for any service ***…read moreBy far, worst quality of work, worst customer service, worst complaint handling ever. on Sept.4, I had booked an engine oil change service - confirmed over the phone. at the service desk, was told regular engine oil is not in stock So, had to choose synthetic oil (no other choice) at higher cost. on Sept 22 noticed oil drops on my parking spot.oil leak confirmed by papers under the engine (see pic) Sept 23 went into Mr. Lube with this complain. - and this is where it gets very non-professional and ridiculous service. Explained the issue (oil leak) with pictures and also oil spills inside on top of my engine bay, oil splash under the car and engine bay cover (bottom). Service advisor took in my vehicle and called me back in about 20 min. I was informed Oil drain plug failed (how does crush O ring fail?). and then I was told all engine oil has drained out and new oil was added but seems it didn't leak very much. This comment was brought to my attention with 'funny' attitude by their staff. I asked about oil spill / splashes, what they have done. Service advisor told me they used degreaser to clean up all the mess. - I had went out to check and it appeared to be 20 second surface wipe job they did. I continued expressing my complaint and was simply told "This is best we can do". I asked to speak to a supervisor and was told the same comment. but this time, they can offer 25% off on next service. I asked for next person in command and was told I could call a number to speak to management but these staffs insisted that's all I'm going to get. * I was / am not looking for a super compensation but up until this moment, I had not received any formal apology from the staff / supervisor on site. Instead, I received dead-end communication and stop wasting my time attitude. I have tried to clean up the oil spill with Q-tips and swap inside my engine bay and still trying to clean up oil splashes under the engine bay, inside the cover. Signs of Oil leak is a deal breaker when looking at any used vehicle so I am going to eventually have to get a engine bay shampoo cleaned. ** I have and will speak out my experience from this Mr. Lube at Current drive to all on/off line communities that I am part of and will spread my words as loud as I can, as far as i can, to as many people as I can. *** If you however had a good experience just because you had one service done, think again, check your car, see it for yourself. If you think their customer service is great only because you had exchanged few jokes, good luck. If they presented themselves who cares about your safety and maintenance of your car? think again, chances are, you just spent doubled the money you should have. And I am betting the management would not care / have time to see feedbacks from their customers.

Denzel, the new owner of six months, has kept up the good name of this business, and the service was exceptional. We appreciated his friendliness, and we found him to be as honest and transparent as is his policy. Our vehicle was fixed and ready to go faster than estimated, which was a terrific bonus for us. Best Choice is now our go-to automotive repair business. The labour charge is on par with a good automotive service shop. You can likely you can find some cheaper places, however, we've had the experience that you get what you pay for. We experienced that today. One of the issues we had with our vehicle was that we had taken it for an oil change at a chain-business (looking at you, "Mr.") because it was less expensive. We certainly got what we paid for: cheap price and bad service. Unknowing to us, the oil filter that was not put on properly, and over a bit of time a litre of oil leaked out as we were driving around. We can't even imagine the cost if all the oil had had all been lost. We appreciate that inexperienced people learn to change oil and may make mistakes while learning at chain-businesses, but we cannot afford to have their inexperience cause us issues with our car. From now on we will go to Best Choice to have our oil changes done by a trained and qualified automotive service technician. It's likely going to cost more than a chain-business would charge, but to prevent what would have been 1000s of dollars in damage makes it a smart move in our opinion. Car repairs can be costly, and we admittedly have a small income, but better to spend a little more to take care of our car and give up something else from our tight budget than not to have a working vehicle. Also, on the humourous side, Denzel was completely non-judgemental when he repaired the mistake we made and explained what we did wrong on a car repair we did ourselves. Thanks, Denzel -- appreciate that! Best Choice is our top choice, and we highly recommend them.
